Enjoyed the video, I am glad to see I wasn't doing it wrong 🤣👍
Great video presented well.
Oh wow. I never even thought about using a coffee filter. I always got paper towel fibers.
thanks for the tip of the coffee filter as a lint free option over paper towels
Thanks for watching! Not completely lint free but VERY LITTLE lint pieces compared to paper towels. Have a great day!
I made scrambled eggs this morning in a brand new Lodge 8" cast iron skillet and they came out perfect with no sticking whatsoever so yes, it can be done as you demonstrated in your video It's all about getting proper heat and enough butter to coat the pan. Good Video!
Thanks for watching! Once you get the hang of cast iron, there's no going back!!! Have a great day. -Carrie
Very awesome! Good stuff! Absolutely love lodge! Lodge rocks!
Used my 8inch lodge for breakfast links today! Absolute steller little pan!
@@johnagen3688 Me too! I just went to the Lodge outlet store this weekend. 🤭
Nicely done! And a nice new stove too!! SUBSCRIBED
Those scrambled eggs are perfect, good job.
If I had a couple pieces of bacon and a large black coffee, I’d be good to go, lol! Great job on the scrambled eggs, Carrie! I agree. There is a lot of misinformation out there about cooking in cast iron. Thanks for sharing this with us, and keep up the good work, my friend!
Thanks for watching! Don't forget the biscuits!!! And speaking of coffee, I have a video on stovetop coffee (original recipe from Cowboy Kent). It's hard to drink any other coffee now. Glad you enjoyed the video. -Carrie
Cast iron eggs are the best! Glad you showed me the difference.
The very best. Thanks for watching!
Nice video. A trick i do for cooking eggs in cast iron or carbon steele, is to let eggs come to room temp before frying or scrambling, and of course butter or bacon grease.
Good video Carrie. I guess you showed 'em.
you cant beat cast iron for making scrambled eggs
I love your cast iron rack 🥰
Thanks for watching! I got the rack from Amazon and we added it to a piece of barn wood.
Thanks for your sharing and I come from Hong Kong
Great video, really enjoyed it!! I love my cast iron, and I agree, eggs ARE the best in cast iron!!
Thanks for watching! Everything is better in cast iron!
What about adding a drop of olive oil for every egg before beating?
nice video thanks for that
I love that you sanded down your cast iron pan. Personally, I think modern lodge is so overrated bc of their asphalt surface.
I make scrambled eggs and cheese in my Lodge Yellowstone cast iron and they don’t stick. They cook fast and easy. I can even cook the block cheddar cheese(which taste delicious) directly on the skillet, and it won’t stick. Depends on how well seasoned the skillet.
Hi I really like your videos when you cook with your cast iron. Please do more. Question: I see you using your lodge cast iron on your glass stovetop. I just bought the exact same 10.5 inch lodge pan. I am scared to use it on my glass stove top and am thinking of buying a separate burner, with a cast iron surface, to use my cast iron on. Are you not worried about scratching your stove? Or other damage? thanks!
I use my CI for every meal on my glass top. I’m not worried about it at all. CI is like every other cookware in that it should never slide across the top. Only set it down gently. Never scoot. Thanks for watching. I may get into making more videos one day
My eggs, whether scrambled or fried, never stick in my Lodge skillet. Low and slow and they come out perfect.
Why do u add the water?
I think it makes them fluffier. My sister in law always made the best scrambled eggs. I watched her one day and the only difference was she added a bit of water. I tried it and it really helps. Thanks for watching! -Carrie
I've always added a little milk.
@@johnagen3688 I've tried milk also. I find the water does better for me. Whatever works! Thanks for watching. -Carrie
I add a little half and half it makes them fluffy and creamy. Just the best.
@@Kindlyone777 Thanks for watching! I'll have to try the 1/2 and 1/2!
Did you get a new stove?
I did! My older one was having some issues (only had 1 good working eye, replaced switches and still didn't work, replaces eyes and it still didn't work). We just invested in a new one. Love it! The only issue I have is the front left eye has a quick boil setting that makes it hard for cast iron because it gets so hot! Thanks for watching!
Yay, good for you!🌻🌻
Low and slow. Good job again!
I do it every morning....takes barely 3 minutes to cook and i never let em sit. #scrambledonly
Thanks for watching! Nothing better than CI cooking!
No no no..to much stirring..let eggs cook longer and set before stirring
There's a fine line between great scrambled eggs and the nasty tasting/smelling golden brown scrambled eggs. They can't sit too long or they get gross, and fast. Thanks for watching
What is this witchcraft?!?! My cast iron lives to have food stuck to it and then takes me forever to clean 😅
