    Bro. Cast iron skillet. Medium heat. Butter the pan. Crack egg and then pour a small amount if water on it then cover for a few minutes. Perfect over easy egg. Salt obviously. Perfection

    Very helpful. I struggled with the cast iron for years. Folks say it's easy to take care of but I don't have such success and I'm pretty good in the kitchen. In any case, seasoned or not, it's a great pan to fry chicken or fish in. So I never throw mines away.

    I cook eggs pretty much the exact same way. I also found that butter works the best to prevent sticking.

  • @hammadmaqsood9664
    @hammadmaqsood9664 Рік тому +1

    I either saw it in a video or from a comment that butter works best. So I tried and it really did help. Butter just coats the pan evenly and gets into the tiny cracks and doesn't slide around and bunch up as much as oil. Since then I've use it on my non-stick too.

    I like your egg shaping tutorial, lol. Another thing I do, cook breakfast for 15yrs-job, is take a toothpick and you can go in through the whites to pop the yolk and if done right the yolk will spill into the whites and not flow out of the egg. So with your egg-shaping and this yolk poppin' you can get a nice "over-hard" egg for sandwiches.

    I do the same honestly, start out low and letting it do it's thing. I hardly ever flip it, I just enjoy it sunny side up. Flipping it just cooks more of the yellow which I don't want. The only time I eat it all cooked it if I do mashed eggs and even then I do it quite runny.

    • @penokoh9494

    Appreciation for cast iron is a mark of maturity... you've gone through years of trashy non-stick products but finally found a product that'll last a life time. Also cast iron can infuse a little extra iron in your diet so it's healthy opposed to toxic chemicals in teflon.
    Carbon steel is likely best for quick cookers though, people who wake up and got only a little time to prepare breakfast and don't care if it's a little burnt. Cast iron is for people who have a spare 10-15 minutes for cooking.

    Here’s my technique: smoking hot pan with oil, crack egg, immediately cover for 1 min, remove,salt and pepper. Gets the bottom nice and tenderly crisp, not too hard to chew or anything, and cooks all the whites of the egg, while leaving the yolk runny. You know it’s done when the whites over the yolk film over and turn white

    • @sarhan_

    I would get a metal spatula instead of that plastic one. 1) I've seen to many posts of ppl complaining about their plastic utensil melting to their cast iron. 2) It helps with scrapping stuff off your pan and in the process helps smooth it out over time. I have rough and smooth cast iron and both cook the same. The way cast iron holds heat it might be on low but it's storing all that heat in so it will be hotter than you think. Even towels burn and melt to your pan if they have synthetic fibers so keep that in mind too.
