OnTrigger settings and heel toe technique

- Hi people, I've seen a lot of drummer having constant problems with their base plate trigger system like OnTrigger or Footblaster. I've had same problem when I got it and this is a little guideline how to have a good starting point and not to end up frustrated and selling your expensive triggers. I also mentioned my heel toe technique and how to practice it.
For threshold i set it at 23 with ontriggers (footblasters may be little lower around 15-16 because of the aluminium covering the sensor) and retrig on 1.
Share with me your experience and your opinion. Hope that helps some of you :)
Makes sense thanks for the tips
I'm at the stage where I can achieve a double hit with both feet but it's not forming a pattern yet. Cant wait to get it going
Thank you so much for this video! Definitely helped me!🎉
nice stuff
Stary podrzucisz link co to za stopa ?
Can a skin be too tight?.. i have some issues with unwanted double strokes from rebounds. Will loosening it help?
I dont think so. Ive been playing with loose skin for some time, the problem is in your technique not in the skin. Having tighter skin helpes you to get better beater rebound. Do not bury the beater in the skin thats the most important thing. Heel toe completely changed my technique
I have the Same issues.
Sometimes Doubles come when they shouldn't.
And Sometimes Singles come when they should be Doubles.
Without triggers they are clean and loud.
But with triggers they Sometimes Sound sloppy.
Particularly when i get a little faster.
Does the lack of a heel plate allow you to get a better angle with your foot? Just asking because I have a speed cobra and I think the heel plate may get in the way of the correct heel-toe fire motion.
Yes definitely. I’ve tried heel toe on different pedals and the lack of heel plate really helps
What is this pedals please ?
Czarcie Kopyto :)
the footrest feels slower than the movement and boom of the bass drum beater which looks fast and tight.....drrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
