Was that the intro to “My Hero” by Foo Fighters?
Every non drummer’s dream!
👍
@@Drumguysd1 it works, we just tested it again
@@66Samus it works now but it wasn't highlighted like a normal clickable link before. I was just trying to be helpful. 🙏
The fact that they can make your acoustic it an E-kit is fucking sick!
Yes
With enough money you could make anything the way you want it
@@jsaiz681593 true that. Too bad I'm a broke bitch lmao
I'm not a drummer but I do got a question. Are Acoustic Drums just regular metal drums? Or are they made from wood too like Acoustic guitars? Just trying to learn more on what makes or is an acoustic drum.
@@FusionKushAcoustic drums are made from all different types of woods. The metals on drums are for rims and holding the rims in place so you can tune drums. Different wood will also give you a different tone
Would have been so disappointed had the blast beats not been included. Thank you blast beats for your existence, and to 66Samus for playing them with such intensity and feverish adoration
hahaha!!
Hey Samus can is use the new Evans Hybrid Sensory System? If so that would be a game changer and quick change over like me in bed!!!!
@@66Samusyou forgot. Sex
still disappointed he didn't include fart sound and SEX!
paalam sating huling sayaw 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼 kamikazee
I don't think I fully understood what drum triggers were until now but that visual explanation really did it for me.
8 year old video but here you go lol ua-cam.com/video/M1ltJAdQHKc/v-deo.html
That First e-drum Kit Sounds fucking awesome
The second e-drum samples here sounds like you can use it in a DEVO song!
My Hero by Foo Fighters
@@Tyree_GregoryI thought the same thing
Turning an acoustic set into an electric one is black magic! This is the greatest drum accessory
And what's great about this is that you can make spare snares/toms that you don't use into triggers that play specific sounds if you ever need it. Less space wasted in storage too.
But whats the point in muting your drum kit, putting triggers on and then making it sound like a normal drum kit?!
@@Rosskles Moving in to a neighborhood/apartment with neighbors that like to complain?
Probably someone who has to move to someplace else with more people around him but he already owns a complete drumkit? Or maybe someone who has to move to different places just by the nature of their day jobs?
@@misot90 Gotcha lol makes total sense 😆
I also realised, it makes recording so much easier because you can just record straight onto ableton instead of taking an acoustic recording 😁👍
@@misot90 You say "like to complain" like drumming in an apartment is perfectly acceptable. It's not. That muted sound is still loud as hell and let's not forget the cymbals.
Black Hole Drums... won't you come...
Can't believe how far I had to scroll for this comment. Thanks for saving me from having to make it
Soundgarden?
Best mofos in the comment section 😅
Good one dude!
I love how there are still little moongells by the triggers
This is actually a really awesome product, especially when you live in a small town and everyone will be able to hear you and your tone is 70% of people is over 78 and complain about every little minute detail. They will complain about noise like this there is actually a law that actually states that police officers will ignore your complaints about noise from certain hours of the day regardless of how loud you get unless there is a baby trying to sleep, if I were to play the drums, I would totally get something like this just to avoid bothering people
You rock so hard, dude. Those blastbeats are just *chef's kiss*
thank you Tony!!!
You’re so rock hard dude
BLASTBEATS🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
@@AbsoluteAbsurdliterally how I read it, I need therapy
hell yeah man, RTOM are underrated as fuck! no one really even appreciates the difference that moon gel makes
I use moon gels on all 3 of my snares and refuse to play without them. They’re amazing. I love the overtone control, but they still allow the full sound and tuning to be heard; the gels simply make the sound a little dryer and more controlled.
Wait so you’re telling me i could have actually been using my drum kit in my apartment these last 4 years?
That is so friggin awesome! I've been on the fence about buying an e kit but I don't want to go away from my acoustic kit because I like the sound and tone of it. Definitely going to look into these
I wish I knew about these before buying my e kit. My e kit is good but I prefer playing my acoustic kit. The e kit is smaller and more compact so it's different than playing the larger acoustic kit.
@@jameslocklear8715 I want to know about the cymbals though, I guess you still have to use electronic cymbals.
@@mcbrideskoi yes you still have to use electronic cymbals. Maybe it's more cost effective to have an e kit and an acoustic. My e kit is a Roland TD-1. I think I paid 600 dollars for it. It's kick pad accepts double pedals which is cool.
Now thats innovation! Depending on durability those seem like a fantastic purchase.
"OK Pete, now can I just hear your kick drum, please"
And cymbals.
I picked up the drums for the first time about a month and a half ago. I practice all the time, and thought I was kinda figuring it out. Then I watched the last ten seconds of this video and realized I haven't figured out shite.
Thank you! A much better option than the foam rubber mute pads that always slide off and wear out quickly!
Now look here, son. 👈🏼
I play guitar.
You’re out here making me want to play drums.
That blast was pretty solid for a demo
This technology is gettin way outta control fellas, but i most definitely enjoyed ur blast beats…
YES! Finally something to make the drums sound like a machine gun! Ratta tat tat tat!
I would literally buy an acoustic kit again just for these since I live in an apt lol
That’s amazing! I think this goes pretty well with the quiet cymbals from Meinl or Zildjian
I love Meinl cymbals
Legitimately, thank you so much for making this. I've been basically just storing my kit in the closet for years now because apartment life blows. Honestly thought I'd be looking into dropping big money on an E kit if I ever wanted to reliably drum again. Will def be looking into these ✌️
I genuinely love how many comments there are talking about how happy they are to be introduced to this
"Black Hole drum, won't you come" 😂
Nice Soundgarden reference
I need to hear Black Hole Sun on these Black Hole Drums!
What difference does it make?
Soundgarden is a one man band anyway
This is why audioslave is better
@@botgamingcodm5808 Uummmm, everyone in Soundgarden is talented. Never got into Audioslave, the only part I enjoyed was Cornell anyway.
"Black hole drum, won't you come..."
Im a drummer and before becoming one i never thought how customizable it could be, i still cant believe this can be done, its incredible
Samus for half a second the blast beat demo sounded like the intro to Slipknot's Vendetta!!!!
This is a really good way to practice on an acoustic drum set at home! Pair these with zidljian L’s and you have a good set to play with
Blast beats so good it makes Death blush
"...And of course, the blast beats!"
*proceeds to mash the intro of Welcome To The Family by ASF onto Archangel by Elena Seigman*
That's actually some wild talent, well played dude!
never heard of that song before haha but thanks dude!!!
That is what was holding me back from considering getting into drums in the future. Noise and acoustic vs electronic. Thanks for settling that debate!
"You know those Moongel drum damp-"
Nope, but now I am invested
Sick. Had to move into an apartment once for a year. Would have loved something like this. Could enjoy the sound of drums without pissing everyone off.
That’s really fucking awesome!!!
That's sick. Wish we had a spot to set up our kit in our new place. Those black holes would rock.
Nice! Right after selling my kit and bought a new e drum.
Holy cow I need to get me a pair of those heads, My roommate always complains whenever I play during the day XD
I don’t even play the drums but this is badass
Great solution and dude killin on the set 💯 🔥
Rtom make so much good stuff like the moongel workout pad! Thank you samus for those blast beats!!
"When an acoustic engineer becomes a drummer"
welp i know what i’m getting for my kit!
Literally just talked to my Sweetwater guy about these like 2 or 3 days ago. Good timing fam! Lol
same, 3 days ago i was talking with 2 friends about acoustics and e-kit, this is exactly what we need
@@gat0sbcw88 yeah this shit looks ultra fire sauce! Bring on the apartment complex blast beats 🤘🔥🤘
“Black Hole Drums, won’t ya come…”
I always liked when blast beats starts with the two crashes and one bass hit, then the blast beat starts on 2. Just like you did in the video.
Maaaaaaan. To think you're jamming out this hard somewhere in my city. I can almost (not) hear this all the way up in the maples!! I always wanted to be a drummer, but my parents wouldn't let me as a kid :( so I settled on the not so awesome guitar. Really tough to do blast beats on a guitar lemme tells ya
May be true but imagine hauling your drum kit out while everyone sits around the campfire and yelling "Ok everyone, sing along with this one!"
@@woreoutdrummer1861 and then play the mfin -.-- -.-- --.. on the ride cymbal
Oh, guitars CAN blast beat, my friend. Don't give up!!
I'm watching this over and over totally for the electronic and blast beats which are INSANE
hahaha thank you!!
I want a video with those electronic drum beats and one with the blast beats
Not usually a fan of electronic changes to acoustic instruments, but this seems kinda cool. Instead of replacing the acoustic parts, it's just enhanced.
this is one of the best innovation of electronic drums ever
Dooooooood fucking need these thank you
Awesome! I might have to pick these up.
Samus, how are the wrists these days?
I have tried guitar when I was younger a few years ago dabbled in the yuke but I always gravitated towards drums
Blast beat is life
That kinda sounded like my hero
love that song!!
@@66Samus me too
Samus, I desperately need those… And I don’t even play the drums! Can they be used as frisbees? 🧿🧿🧿
I don't even play the drums, and I am watching all his videos. He makes his videos so entertaining and interesting! Well done!
thank you so much Brent!!!!
Bluds hair goes down to his waist. You know hes a drummer. Respect.
I have the black holes that I pair with L80 cymbals to play in my apartment - that is, whenever I can muster up any energy to fucking practice.
Me… a bass player doesn’t play drums:
Watched whole videos
How are you not in a band dude? Maybe that’s your choice and you chose family and your free time over fame? Your famous here. I think you are amazing.
He’s been there. Done that.
the rock drums almost sounded like my hero
rock on man, that was epic!
Prices are far more reasonable than I was expecting.
This makes me want to put together a makeshift electronic drumset....
VERY cool.
Fun fact!! Devo made an electronic drumset back in the 70s using guitar pickups placed under drum practice pads.
Way ahead of their time, and wildly talented band.
Sadly they're known for only one song.
Do yourself a favor and listen to their albums 'Duty Now For The Future', and 'Freedom Of Choice'.
Listening to this scratches that itch in my head
Not being a drummer, no, I don't (until now,) know those moon gel drum dampening things. But I'm sure the parents of enthusiastic drummers would bless the makers of those quiet-devices that fit on top of the drums! Nice. I think I'll mention this short to someone I know.
I hope they step up their global distribution soon. I’ve looked for these but can’t find any way to ship them to my country (New Zealand)
they sound so good that even i want them, and i don’t even have a drum set!
I just love the fact that he got a double bass E-kit with four toms and a lot of cymbals and he decides to play a Foo Fighters song with it...
not foo fighters lol but thats a great song ;)
Well, i thought that you where playing the intro of "my hero"
But well, still good
YUUUR
Wow! I’m an old Sweetwater customer and I didn’t know these existed.
I recently expanded my drum sound booth to capture noise for my neighbors but with these sound deadening press on heads, I can go down to the drum room when my Bride’s home! 🇺🇸💪🏼🥁🤪
The mesh heads are crazy
never seen someone do blast beats so well god damn
While I'm sure it was just random and improvised, it's crazy how similar the "rock drums" line sounds to Hold Your Tongue by Children of Bodom, albeit a bit slower.
Can't play drum, but the e-kit sounds like a lot of fun.
100/100 - video is perfection
I subscribed purely for the sticks in the forest logo on the heads and the surprise blast beat at the end 😂🤩
hahaha thank you!!
And it actually sounds good
Black hole drum
Won’t you come
And wash away the rainnn
I don't even play drums, you've sold me
Terrifyingly good. You're the man!
Very innovative approach to keeping your favourite drum kit but adding an electronic sounds arsenal. 😎
I don’t know much about drumming. But seeing all this I really might start picking it up
I gotta tell my drummer about this
Without the little hatch thing that makes it sound different: jungle 👍
With it: anything 👍
I'm not a musician but I absolutely respect and enjoy seeing/ hearing all this stuff! Cheers!
Sick demo
“There goes my hero! Watch him as he goes!”
Why didn't I know about these before 😭 my e kit still fits my current lifestyle and space but damn. These look great
That last bit bring back some pretty niche memories
The blast beats wow
I’m not a drummer, and I still want these!
Absolute game changer!
the chiptune sounds were fun! 😂🎉
Love the blast beats
As much as I prefer playing acoustic this is a game changer for most people with neighbours 💯
Man, those sound great
Blast Beats and Chugs all a song needs!
Dude just turned his drumset into his drumset.
Black Hole Drum, Won't you Drum, drum away the break!!!!!!!
