Yes Dick Burlson was probably the most iconic American rider in my mind. We do a lot of cross country racing here in West Virginia and when he came to race the Blackwater 100. Oh man was it ever epic.
When i was a kid these were mythological to me. i had a honda Elsinore 250 and thought if i had one of these i would be much faster. Lol..not likely, but that was what I thought.
When I was a kid, my friend's father had I'm pretty sure an 80 Husqvarna 430 CR. It wasn't long before he took off the metal tank and put on a plastic one. Just looking at that bike brings back memories and I can smell the garage where he worked on it.
I had a few of these Swedish made Husqvarna raced MX and Enduro . Excellent 👍 I had a Heikko Mikkola 360GP 1976 purple 🟣 tank . Wish they still made these.
I never had a Husqvarna motorcycle but I always admired them and I always love to have one but I'd love to have one of them old bikes like that there nice job on that one
My freind had one when we were kids, we had any old shit basically road bikes. His dad was a plumber had a few quid not off our estate 😂 loved johns husky tho that when i got hooked. Great build respect brother 💪🤙
I remember watching one something like this Husky on a dirt racetrack near the Ohio river in the late sixties. 400cc class. It out ran everything even the Bultacos.
One of my stupid brothers stupid friends had one . While they were relaxing around camp with a few frosties I asked if I could ride it . Jokingly they replied , if you can start it . I topped it off with 38 / 1 lubed the chain and set the tires at 16 and split . Needless to say that bike had really good suspension/gearing and power however it might be the first bike I approached 80 mph in the dirt .
Excellent enduro machines. Anyone remember Burlson??
I absolutely remember Dick Burleson 'at least from reading about him in the dirt bike magazine's , he had a long run of being "the man".

I had one, ha, it'd roll you right on ur ass.
Yep I remember him.
I would love to have a ride on that weapon.
Ain’t nothing better than an old two-stroke Husky, any Husky from the early 70’s thru the early 80’s are the best I tell ya, she’s a real beauty! 🤙🏼
one of the best bikes i have owned. I loved riding it in sandy trails or tracks, it was like day and night to the japanese mxers
Look so much cooler than modern bikes ! 💪
Outstanding Beautiful STUNNING BEAUTIFUL SO PREFECT , I remember them back in the day !
Old school husky, beautiful bike, awesome resto!
Gorgeous bike , from rags to riches. Those old Huskys were solid bikes.
Raced Huskies in the 70s, fine handling bikes. You have rebuilt it into a masterpiece !👍🏻 Beautiful !!
Thanks!
Beautiful work on this build 👏
As a former Husky owner I can tell you this bike is AWESOME
Dude this is amazing. What a beautiful pipe and that delicate open frame just makes this a piece of art. Congratulations Pal

Oh yeah we all thought we'd be faster on a Husky lol.
I’m not normally into the older bikes but this one moves me, I’d love to own and ride that, what a beauty.
Man what a fine ride! I have had a cr 360 and cross country 175 and just love the old Husky's!!!

I raced an ‘81 CR, me favorite race bike ever. But sues wished it looked as good as yours! Beautiful Job.
Sweet. Had a 390 with the 430 head kit and fox front and rear...my most favorite!!!
That's a great job you did
I wonder if that Husky I watched in the late sixties just outrun everything else in the 400cc class actually had 430cc?
I love the simplicity of older dirt bikes, they look lean and mean.
Only thing missing are some fork gators. Very nice!
I remember that bike, we had several local racers use them. Outstanding bike, went against the factory bikes and didn’t embarrass themselves.
Great job. The photos appear Like a 1981 motor in the first few photos.

I remember those brand new in the showroom. Seemed like know one bought them, they sold the maicos and suzukis though!.. Nice find and rebuild.
Simply gorgeous...Thanks for sharing.

They did look great back in the day.
Sweet Swedish TECHNOLOGY 👍🇸🇪
I had 1, last bike I raced. Pulled a holeshot with a 3rd gear start. Loved the Ohlins, but the fork was a little harsh. Beautiful bike.
Fork swap on this one.
Very nice build and attention to details 💪 Bravo...
