Just love how easy that looks when you know what to expect. Would it help the the rubber seal if you greased it with a water resistant type of lubricant?
The directions don't mention using any kind of lubricant. They only stress that the metal surface of the pump where the seal rides is flush and smooth.
@@theworkshop3706 I have a ‘51 International L110 that needs a water pump rebuild. If it has a similar seal on it, I’m going to lube it with a silicone based grease. Reducing friction reduces wear. IMHO
Hi - I didn't do a video on how to remove the water pump. It wasn't too hard though. I'm not sure about a '48 road master though. Probably fairly similar. The shop manual is your best friend. If you don't have one, the team buick site has a bunch in digital format. Here a link to the cooling system for a '48 Buick: www.teambuick.com/reference/library/48-49_shop/files/2-f.php
Hi Kevin - It came in a kit from a seller on ebay. He also sells just the seal (which I had to buy when I broke the first one) www.ebay.com/itm/174225218915
Hola, lo siento, no hablo español, esto fue escrito usando un traductor. No sé nada sobre Range Rovers. Trate de encontrar el manual de reparación de su Ranger Rover, así aprendí a hacer mi bomba de agua. ¡Buena suerte!
A real water pump💪
Yeah man - nice when things can be rebuilt!
