    This is a great video to save and review when I'm preparing the migration from my ResMed11 at home to my AirMini for RV or Airplane! Today we are off to the UK for a month in an RV... both! The Air Mini is a lifesaver for travel and the accessories available make it so much easier. The mounting bracket sold to attach to a bed or drawer, has skids on the bottom to keep it from sliding off the table at night! I use it with the P10 to streamline the look onboard! Thanks for the setup reminders!

    This is so useful. My mini has been too loud to use, especially during exhalation, and I’m hopeful the adjustments I made will help!

      I have found placing a towel folded over has reduced the noise from my air mini. I adore the simplicity of this little machine

    Sleep disorder professionals are too busy to care about the individual's pressure needs. I only see them twice a year via Zoom and they really do not know each person's unique situation. I have tried many masks and styles to get the right one and the air pressure is different dependent on your mask. They set the pressure too low and then too high. I have to study and experiment with it to find the right pressure.

      Hello Alice,
      I am sorry to hear you don't feel supported by your sleep providers office. As an online supplier we understand face to face can be very important and online may not be for everyone, I can only suggest maybe finding a office close to your home that allow face to face interactions.
      You are correct in the sense that air pressure does feel different mask to mask. A pillows mask is more direct vs a nasal mask. An auto CPAP would work best for you in this case. Trying a starting pressure which works best for you and a max pressure ex: 5-10cmH2O. Your compliance data then will be able to advise what your 95th percentile pressure is and you can adjust your max pressure based on that information. For example if your download tells me you use 8cmH20 95% the time, then I would not change your max pressure if your apneas are well treated!
      I hope this helps, and good luck!

      Any ideas on how to change the settings on the AirSense 10 model without having to go through your provider? I've been trying to get my primary care provider to submit a change to the facility that originally set my pressure for three F'n weeks and he's been dragging his ass so I've had to rely solely on my AirMini.

      Just started to use my airmini and the associated app. I purchased it in in California, but I live in Japan. When I went to sleep on Saturday night and woke up Sunday morning, the app reflected that I slept Friday to a little bit on Saturday. Is there any type of time zone setting on the AirMini or through the app? I looked in the clinical options, but did not see any setting for that.

    First time user of the mini, have found that it seems to force air from my mouth at regular intervals intervals as I’m breathing out, which in turn wakes me up, is it because the pressure is too high? This has been a helpful video.

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  3 місяці тому +2

      It'll take some time to adjust to the pressure and the feeling of breathing on CPAP but increasing your EPR can help make it easier to breath out. Try setting EPR to max level of 3 and see if that helps!

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  Рік тому +1

      You will need to see if you provider can add you onto Airview, which is a provider only software. Through airview your provider/DME can send you clinical download and full compliance report.

      @@RespShop Thanks much. I tried that and my clinician said that did not work. They can not add my s/n to airview. I will call Resmed and ask for help. Shouldn’t be this hard … but it is. I would pay another clinician to do this if you have a reference.?

      @@RespShop I have a philips dream station 2 at home and the sleep data is very easy to download and generate a PDF for 1 month, 1 week or a year. You can then send this to your clinician before a visit. Respmed needs to do the same. My sleep data should be MINE. I paid for it. Not some third party!

    I use a Snuggel adapter to allow me to use my F30i mask which is the only one I find comfortable to use for therapy on my AirSense. Which mask should I select from the only options offered during the setup of the mini? Also, I bought an adapter to use other standard hose diameters in case I find that my mini hose breaks during travel. Does the Airmini not have a menu to adjust the hose diameter?

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  Місяць тому

      Select full face mask for the F30i. The AirMini doesn't have the option to switch between different hose types/diameters since it is designed to only work with the AirMini tubing.

    Huge thanks to you - i have fussed all afternoon and watched other videos to assist me to connect my air mini to the app and also to change some of the clinical settings. Thank you so much, it's all sorted now so hopefully i'll be able to view my sleep data tomorrow mornning. One question do I need to press the large green button on and off when i'm removing my mask to go to the bathroom in the evening, or will it automatically recognise i've removed my mask and cease the data?

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  9 місяців тому

      You're welcome and thank you for watching! If you have SmartStop turned on, the AirMini will turn off automatically once you remove the mask. Otherwise, you'll have to press the large button to turn it off. You can change your SmartStop settings under "Sleep Options."

    Hi,
    I have noticed 2 things and wanted your opinion. I have AirSense 10 and AirMini from ReSmed. I use the AirFit N20 for both machines. First observation, the elbow connector that comes with the N20 mask has air escape holes so that they can be reunited inside the mouth of the silicone. The corresponding connector of AirMini does not have. Second observation, when I breathe in and out through the nose there is a noise during the duration of my inhalation or exhalation. I don't have this with the AirSense 10 where nothing is heard at all. I don't know if there is a setting for the noise I mentioned in my mobile. Thanks in advance.

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  11 місяців тому +1

      The ventilation holes are built into the airmini short tube adapter where the humidx capsules fit in.
      As for the noise, the airmini is louder as the air pressure does have to go through a much smaller device. These is no settings to change the noise unfortunately to make the device quieter.

      I have found placing a folded towel beneath my air mini reduces the noise, also placing it below your bed on the floor reduces the noise

    Home CPAP works excellent for many years, but new AirMini (for travel) is sooooo loud. I am using same home mask with adapter on AirMini. Any suggestions to reduce/eliminate the Wind Tunnel noise from the AirMini?

    • @RespShop
      @RespShop  Рік тому

      Try the V-Com we have had great success with patients noticing a decrease in noise. Avoid masks like the dream wear, F30i, N30i/P30i. Hoses that connect to the top of the head are much louder when used with the airmini.

      Hi, if you go to Settings and select "Subtitles/CC", then "Auto-translate," you can enable Spanish subtitles for the video. Unfortunately, we don't have any Spanish speaking staff so we can't confirm the accuracy of the automatic translations but we hope this helps.
