    Excellent video. Took me 15 minutes from start to finish. Even though I have the Beko DHR73431W this video was close enough. In this model, the capacitor screws into a plastic thread which is then tightened with a screw. Many thanks and keep up the good work.

      Was it easy to do? And were did you buy the part from?

      @@divinesalon339the part was from an electrical supplies shop but loads on ebay, even amazon. Not expensive either. Good luck.

    Just tried this on mine it's making dame noise as the one here but my won't spin do you know what it could be?

      Hi,
      So did you replace the capacitor and still didn’t spin? Then loose the belt and check if something stucked between the drum and the rail where drum’s edge is running.

    This was great. Exactly what I needed. Ordered a replacement from eBay and it now works again! However, it has alot of vibration now. Could it be wrong rating or something? 🤔

    • @georgesworkshop8600
      @georgesworkshop8600  Рік тому

      Hi,
      Is it a mechanical or electrical vibration? The whole machine or just the capacitor? Did you replace with a same capacity (microfarads) capacitor?

    • @umair170
      @umair170 Рік тому

      @@georgesworkshop8600 Thanks for getting back. I took the old one out first. It said 10uF so I ordered the same one. However new one only had 2 terminals on the top as opposed to 4 on the original one.
      It could be an electrical vibration. Not sure 😕 is there a way to confirm 🙈

    does it matter what way you reconnect the capacitor ?

      Hi Wayne, it doesn’t matter which way, but one side one pole.

    I have the same issue with my dryer but i cant locate the capacitor any idea where it might be on my machine its a BEKO DTKCE80021W ive located the motor etc but no capacitor :*

      Hi Tracy,
      Same like in this video, if you face the front of your dryer, please remove the right hand side panel. If you couldn’t locate by the engine, have a look on the top frame. Approx in one line with engine. Under a metal cover, one screw will hold it, that need to be removed. You should find here. At newer models capacitor located here. Good luck!

    Do you have any tips if the replacement doesn’t resolve the issue ?

    • @georgesworkshop8600
      @georgesworkshop8600  2 роки тому

      Hi Charlie,
      If you put a brand new capacitor, that should solve the problem. If didn’t, there is an electrical issue.

    I’ve got this exact same problem so I’ve ordered a new capacitor.
    Is there any danger of the old one retaining electricity when I replace it, I don’t want to get a shock!
    Thanks in advance 😊

    • @georgesworkshop8600
      @georgesworkshop8600  Рік тому

      Hi,
      If you unplug before start to replace the capacitor, there is no danger. So please UNPLUG! This is a must to do before any repair. Good luck!

      Update: I’m pleased with myself. With your tutorial I fixed this with no troubles! Took longer taking the sides and top off than it did to replace then capacitor!!
      Cost -£10- bargain!
      Thanks so Much 😊

    Hi George I have this problem on the dcu 8230, I'm struggling to get the side panel off. I've unscrewed but there's still resistance stopping me from removing. Have I missed something? Thank you!

      Sorry for the late response.Have you removed the screw from the bottom? I mean you must bend your machine to make accessible
