A big thank you! General videos just talk about the belt, the axle rollers and what not but hardly talk about the capacitor and how test it. The test you provided to roll the drum by hand to ascertain that it is a capacitor problem, was so helpful. I used this video for my Electrolux dryer and this saved me 90 euros.

Absolute legend, I've been replacing brushes on washing machines for years, and thought this was the same issue... but you can't replace the brushes on these motors because they are sealed units (I'm assuming due to the dust) so you can only get replacement motors, which cost up to £100! £7.50 off Amazon for a capacitor :D awesome work!

My capacitors (10 and 15 uF) was under the machine lid within a metal cover. Had leaked a liquid of sorts causing an earth leakage so kept tripping RCD when turned on. Although showed the same hum symptom as in the video before deciding to trip rcd. As well as the leak, the failed capacitors seal appears warped and was only measuring 0.5 uF capacitance. Waiting for a replacement

Hi great video my Beko dryer won't start. When you hit the start button it makes an audible click and you can feel something move or shunt slightly but it won't start turning. I thought it might be a capacitor problem but when I turn the drum to help the motor it won't turn. Any ideas ?
Can this cause an intermittent fault? I went to test a machine that was apparently stoppingafter a minute and it ran fine through a cycle but its not working again
Got a different problem ~ I get the humming sound exactly the same, but the drum does not easily rotate. Someone put a load on without the dust filter in place and a sock or two went down into the space where it should have been . . . it seems like something has got behind the drum and is jamming it.
Please answer me🙏🏻 Samsung dryer heat pump DV90M500QX / where is the capacitor ? I didn't find, my dryer is opened but can't find the capacitor please answer me
hi I took my old capacitor off to check it, then put it back on while my new one arrives but now its just beeping at me 3 times and I'm getting nothing any suggestions?
I would check all the wiring that you may have touched when replacing the capacitor, especially the door lock. It sounds like you may have dislodged something. @eddiekay5252 please remember to subscribe to our channel as that really helps us ua-cam.com/users/shortse432SAb2g08 Thanks, Paul 👍

Hi.
where could the problem be when everything looks like the clip. But the drum cannot be moved.

what if the dryer makes a bang when trying to plugin the dryer, and my house circuit went off. is the capacitor banging or the motor. Beko DV7220X

Up to the 2 minute section the same happens. But then rather than humming, it stops and indicates that the filter or tank are full.
