I use this trick all the time as well. Sometimes instead of just using the small flat head to turn the security screw I use it to break the protrusion off by prying on it. Then I can use regular Allen or Torx bits.
put plastic in the inside or glue, it's more a temp thing since all you need to do is heat it up to then remove the plastic or glue. but if you do it with all of the Screws, the process takes a long time and it might be enough time for someone to get caught. I haven't done this but its an idea I had. going to run some experiments.
thanks its a great tip but it dosnt help me because the screw is confined in the hole its fixed in ive even tried to drill a hole in an allen key it looks like ill have to buy a set , its on a charging lead an EV any suggestions i wish i could add a photo of where it is
It would be best to purchase the correct tool for the job. You can get a complete set of security screw bits for about five to ten dollars, and there are many tools available to use with the security bits to get into tight spaces.
Thanks! This worked well (but not perfectly) with an HVAC thermostat screwdriver which has a 1/8” wide blade for small t-stat terminal board screws when hooking up wires
I have my email address under my “About” information. Feel free to send me the information. But I get emails daily and have a pretty full schedule for the summer, so I can’t guarantee anything.
Wow man you were wearing shorts and Keen Newport H2 sandals into pants and shoes including a helmet and jacket to break your coffee machine with your sledgehammer.
I intentionally did not show a plate for that reason. I showed a few consumer goods that I personally own. Also, this will not stop a plate thief. You can buy a 30 piece set of security bits for five dollars. If someone has intent on stealing something, a security screw is not going to stop them.
@@cybrox6085 A flat head will work in a pinch, but I would recommend purchasing the correct security driver for that. T9 security torx Here is one on Amazon with good reviews (I do not personally on it, I just looked on Amazon for you): amzn.to/3u3fBqs Another one: amzn.to/3QvfAmK
This video saved me in a serious jam. Thank you!
Awesome! Glad it helped!
1:54 this is the best solution! Sadly, I now have to look for a new fridge.
It is a good solution. Just make sure to take pictures first, and have glue on hand.
Thanks im definitely not gonna use this to remove the anti-theft and payment hardware from rental scooters
Good.
Quick and very useful video, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you I was about to spent like £20 on a kit
Glad it helped!
Just love the technical approach 🤙😂

My brain gave me happy chemicals when you smashed the coffee maker.

That also works well!
Thank you very much, brother. It works with the screws on my glue gun. Thank you a lot.

Nice! Glad it helped!
Now to find a nano flat screwdriver for my PS5.... Yeah I'm buying this tool. Nothing works and I'm gonna ruin the screws.
Absolutely! I definitely recommend getting the correct tool!
This is just a possible little hack to get you by in a pinch.
Try that with a bolt in some steel fixture that has loctite applied to it....
Do all allen keys have that
No. It is rare.
omg thanks a lot brother
You're welcome!
Amazing. Buddy, We would like to arrange to have our LED lighting shipped to for doing a product review. Is there a way to reach out to you?

Keen Newport H2!
So you do wear pants, shoes, shorts and Keen Newport H2 sandals right
great video for a thief looking to seal a plate

What size flat head
It depends on the screw size. You will need to experiment to find a size that wedges into it.
@@HowtoandReviewsOfficial it's a ps4 pro screw

I don't have that tiny of a screwdriver but will look in Menards tomorrow.
if you have that many items that have security screws why don't you just go down to Harbor Freight and buy a cheap tool set?
I do own that set! This video shows how to bypass it in a pinch if you don’t own security bits.
You are crazy😂
Lol
Me thinks that was a bit anticlimactic.
Probably should have added music and sound effects and yelled “wow!” and “let’s go!” and stuff like that.
