Can we just talk about how good a feature secret classes would be? Like beating Mogh gets you a Sanguine Noble class, beating Malenia gets you a Cleanrot Knight, getting the Legendary Spells trophy unlocks a hybrid caster class, all to use on future playthroughs. Some higher level classes to speed up the early game for you, maybe they could come with some upgrade materials, Tears etc.

I'd definitely be down for that. My own suggestion was to allow you to put items or spells into a special storage that can let you build a gearset (or be available from the Husks) in future runs. That way endgame items could have use outside of NG+ and be given a chance to shine. But honestly, your idea is much cleaner.
Id love a Cleanrot Knight starter, consider how much of a pain in the ass it is to get the armor and weapons. I had spent like 10 hours grinding before getting the spear.
Since Blaidd is the only one really involved in bloodhound lore plus their pointy noses, I suspect that the BHK are actually half-wolves like blaidd. Furthermore, blaidd shares some similarities with them like being deadly loyal, animalistic and a User of an big Sword
I don't think they are demi human exactly,but demi humans and things of that nature are tied to the crucible of life. I think bloodhounds are created using ancient magic of the crucible

You actually forgot three other bloodhound knights. There’s the one guarding Lutena, just like you said, but there’s also one by the merchant in front of Raya Lucaria, and one in a watch tower above Selia, across the church where you find Millicent
It almost seems that they are associated with sorcerers or the Carians in some way. Darriwil possibly betrayed Ranni, there are two in Liurnia one in Sellia and two in Mount Gelmir. All these are places associated with the Carian royal family, sorcerers, or both.

Did you know that the bloodhound knight helmet is based on a real life helmet called a houndskull bascinet. The bascinet is the base helmet and the houndskull is actually the pointy visor. So they could very well be humans who walk on all fours, are incredible trackers, and choose masters for life. Or they’re dog people. Something maybe like Blaidd.
I understand why the snail boss in the spirit caller cave isn't killable before you take out the discount duo, but imagine how funny it would be on your first go around to just like, accidentally smoke the snail while it's invisible?
Apparently Bloodhound step only has nerfed i-frames when used in rapid succession. Which means using bh step and then rolling, followed by another bh step removes the nerf in exchange for every other dodge being a normal roll. Just a heads up for future playthroughs!
The Bloodhound Fang is the only sword I used in my first run after I found it. Reminded me of a curved great sword in DS2 I used my first run there. Good sword

Can I just say that I LOVE your addition of lore into these videos. It adds a layer of immersion to it, even if each of the tidbits are brief. Also, Zuko's bread and butter that put it so high got nerfed into oblivion on a previous patch. I don't think it would go as high as this build if you ran it on the current patch.
Bloodhound Fang is so good. It's what I used for my first playthrough and it was great. Also, after doing both ash of war attacks, you can usually chain a third attack right after it.
It just reinforces my belief that people take these games to seriously. There are jokes in the dialogue, they're funny games, they're just also dramatic and dark
I'd say you don't get to consider it a starting class if you have to fight ANY enemies before using it. (Excepting Dark Souls 1 where you have to re-earn your kit through the tutorial).

I do quite like the logic of why the Godskins are weak to slash damage. You see, slashing weapons are more powerful against bare skin. And the Godskins' armor _is_ skin. It's like if being frozen in an ice block made you take more damage from fire, because fire melts ice, duh.
There is also a somber 6 in old Altus tunnel btw, took me a while to find though, you have to crouch and break a barrel to get behind one of the shacks

Bloodhound knights seem to have illusions to shadowbound beasts in some respect but we really don’t know much about them. personally, I like the joke theory that they’re literally blackholes.
Gelmnirs is rough. But it's just for the drip and floh. If you just use another armor set/spirit ash, you're set. Hell, a Mimic tear of YOU with thr Bloodhound fang is probably better anyway haha
Future run suggestion: Fight each boss by copying a different named NPC. You're required to use exactly the same gear, Ashes, skills and spells as the NPCs and may only use each loadout for one boss.
The reason tree enemies are resistant to lashes are probably because you don't slash with an axe. You strike, as in chopping wood. Direct force of an edged solid.
I think that the edentree does not die until you defeat malakat because he has the mark of death, therefore preventing it from dying in some weird way.
I'm a huge fan of the bloodhound fang I'm using it for my first playthrough with the mimic ashes it definitely smashes. I hope they don't ever nerf it it's one of the best weapons in the game IMO
I just decided to do this, and it's so fun. I went and got both the Sword and claws right away, then did the calied(dont know how to spell it) run. Lastly, I ran to get to the armor by the valcano Manor invite. After that, i'm running through boss after boss. The guide helped a crap ton!

Maybe add a "custom start" feature after you beat the first boss. Lets you manually assign all starting stats, choose weapons and spells from the starting pool, and every time you beat a boss it adds something to the pool. And make sure the pool includes one basic weapon of each type, so you can do say a whip run without spending 20 minutes googling locations and searching for a whip. Or make the feature a NG+ unlock.

I blasted through my first playthrough with Bloudhound's fang. It's unbelievable how ridiculously OP it is. Its guard counter, Super Armor, reach, and lunging motion are just off the charts. You can play a whole run pretty much brain-empty with this thing(with adequate vigor investment). It's one of those weapons that you stop using not because it sucks, but because it hinders the gaming experience. Lol
Bro getting the armor set... don't fall on the ledge from the side like you were but either the front or back so if you accidentally overestimate your jump you have room for error, for future runs..stupid little things like this helped me immensely in traversing certain areas like the sub ter. grounds..
There is also a Somber Smithing Stone 4 in Liurnia. By the inlet that leads to the Ruin Strewn Precipice, it is on a small hunk of land to the left when looking down the inlet. I found it helpful for somber weapon builds.
It'd be fascinating to see the chart recalculated to remove deaths to Melania where you rushed the bloom too early, since your recently adjusted timing has been serving you so well. I mean, if doing so weren't completely impractical. Maybe something Corey might want to tackle on a slow week when their self esteem is low enough not to object?

Bloodhound's Finesse followed up by heavy attack is a savage combo. Ever since picking up this sword, I've been on it exclusively. Killed Mohg in preparation for the DLC. About to kill the Fire Giant. On my way to the teleporter for Mohgwyn Palace for some rune farming and to fight Varre. Then on to Radhan.
im new to the game and this guide is clearly meant for someone who already knows all the places. Would have been nice to see a more detailed guide on how to obtain the items and where exactly they are. Rushing through explanations isnt very helpful to some folks.
My very first playthrough, I started Samurai and meandered my way to Derriwil. I was a little bit miffed that throughout my whole run, the BHCS was better than anything else I was picking up until very late game lmao.

There's an easier way to do the Gelmir Hero's Grave since you had Bloodhound Step on the claws already, just dash down the first lava area with the chariot to the bottom where the Ringed Finger is, drop down the opposite side and bam, you land in the Bloodhound Knight and Gelmir Knight Armor area
There's some concept art out there of the bloodhound knights and they have doggo snouts. So, likely half-dogs/wolves. Also Flohs lore is the biggest DISS in all of Elden Ring

About to kill the Fire Giant. On my way to the teleporter for Mohgwyn Palace for some rune farming and to fight Varre. Then on to Radhan.

There's an easier way to do the Gelmir Hero's Grave since you had Bloodhound Step on the claws already, just dash down the first lava area with the chariot to the bottom where the Ringed Finger is, drop down the opposite side and bam, you land in the Bloodhound Knight and Gelmir Knight Armor area
There's some concept art out there of the bloodhound knights and they have doggo snouts. So, likely half-dogs/wolves. Also Flohs lore is the biggest DISS in all of Elden Ring
