I use elastic shoe laces that curl up. Then I also have pull string holders that go on the ends and you can tighten or loosen.

Thank you so much for sharing the above. Unfortunately I am not able to raise my affected leg like how you have shown. Please teach me how to go about the same angel ❤

You showed how to use our left hand to put a sock on our right foot, but how do we put a sock on our left foot when we can only use our left hand? The foot is farther away when you cross it over your right leg.

The guy who created my AFO suggested I try lock laces. They have been huge in gaining my independence in dressing. I had spent hours trying to teach myself to tie my shoes one-handed, and become depressed because it was too hard. The trick I found with the lock laces was to have someone else put them in for me the first time and tighten them to the right setting. Then I never undo the lock laces I just put my shoe on and off like a slip on. It’s been invaluable to me. Hope this helps someone else

For the shoe tying, you really need a closeup shot so the audience can clearly see what's happening, especially since you're using dark shoes and laces.
