Love the part when you showed the making of the soup, amazing! It would be nice if you could dig in the massive fish head soup and do a close up shot of the interesting parts when you eat it, such as the rolled up tofu, the flower, the meaty part of the fish head, whatever you think is interesting. Not sure about the pig mouth roof, sounds interesting.
I think it’s amazing that people are so courteous enough to allow you to film them actually preparing the food, that’s so nice of them. That preparation of the fish head soup was fascinating, really loved watching that. Great video as always Luke. .
I'm from Chiayi and has been in New York for 7 years. Love all your films about Taiwan and Korea, especially these about my hometown. I find myself missing so many amazing Taiwan food after watching all your films, so I booked flight tickets back to Taiwan and stopover in Korea for several days. planning to try everything you introduced! Thank you for the great work.
BTW I actually visited Uncle Sheep's restaurant in Minxiong based on your review and got to experience exactly what you did! It's literally in the middle of nowhere so we had an interesting time trying to find the restaurant. My friends were convinced we were entering a scary movie scene lol. Uncle Sheep had a TV show reviewing their restaurant that day and we happened to be there! So he gave us the whole grand tour and showed us how his food was being made, its insane I got to experience it exactly as you had. The food was amazing, and we got interviewed by the TV crew after we finished everything. We demolished everything. Uncle was so kind, we met his entire family and he read our fortune. We were the last to leave that night, at 11pm way after they closed for the night. It was an incredibly memorable part of my very short trip to Taiwan. Uncle said since you made that video, he became very popular among foreigners and so many customers have come thanks to you and Sabrina.
I am from Taiwan and work overseas. Man you really do a good job filming this. So mouth-watering. I seriously fall prey to nostalgia. I am downright homesick now

Wow that is something. It looked like a factory instead of a kitchen. I liked that older people work there in the kitchen, it makes it seem more home like then a fast food chain. And talk about the selection of food to choose from. It all looks amazing. Great work, loved the video.

That food looks awesome! When I was growing up, my family used to cook bitter melon with a fermented shrimp past sauce. I loved the sauce, but could not stand the bitter melon. Still, to this day I continue to try bitter melon thinking my palate for it has changed, but it has not. Way to bitter for me. Love your videos by the way!
Hi Luke, the Fish Head Soup is really a great dish. In Europe or US often seen as garbage but for me the best part of the fish. So tasteful and aromatic. Hey Buddy, this was really a feast, looks awesome. Would like to see also more opinions on the dishes. Please Sabrina also for a comment.

Luke, the rice is actually made from sliced turkey meat, not chicken. FYI 火雞 is turkey and 雞 is just chicken. :)
