Tip for those like me who are not Mark or do not have 7 friends with them, or cant get a reservation at Ji Yuan, they have a second restaurant G-Woo where you can buy the same chicken dish in multiple portion sizes from 1 person up 400twd. I cant say it's exactly the same as I missed Ji Yuan but hard to fathom the mothership could be much better, oh wow!

Ginger duck hot pot can only be found in Taiwan. It is a very local Taiwanese dish, especially during wintertime. Normally these restaurants do not run the business in the summer.
It is very delicious, completely different from any other type of hot pot. Cook it with vegetables, duck heart, pork blood cake, meat balls, and many kinds of hot pot ingredients. And vermicelli is also a thing of must-eat.

The best place to enjoy food from all over China is Taiwan. Sichuan food, Ningbo food, Fujian food... All in one place.

Yeah I know right Taiwan is such an amazing country it adopts some of those Chinese dishes and transforms them to a much better version, and yet still keeps their own food at another level. Such a great nation as everyone agrees
