That rooftop scene was amazing.
Despite the majority of this show being painfully disappointing post-season 3, as an "original" fan of the Arrowverse I am really thankful we got these two moments. I got a little teary-eyed when Oliver and Diggle hugged. Lovely final send off for Stephen Amell as Oliver. Grateful for all he and Grant gave us back in the early days of these series'.

Exactly how I feel. This show and arrow along w the others in the beginning built great memories with me and this send off does way more justice then what we got in crisis.

@@nooneknows19 Season 3 was a real mixed bag, but I still enjoyed it overall. Was the last season I was emotionally invested in, and just gave up after the first episode of season 4.

She did direct this episode, but the showrunners and writers wrote this scene. The directors have little to no say in what ends up on the actual episode. They just make the best of the scripts written for them. Amazing scene nonetheless.

As in it was talking about how the universe and multiverse was born and then multiverse no longer exist because of the crisis they've merge all the Earth's together as in 1 earth. If multiverse still exist then why is supergirl and her team are on Barry's and Oliver home planet. Everybody thought that the multiverse no longer exist because Supergirl and her team are on Barry's and Oliver earth.
@@johnreyes4900 because oliver brought it all back and made the earths merge and made whooe new earths and a brand new multiverse. It was a reboot of the universe. The hilarious thing is they had more crossovers when they weren't on the same earth rather than after they merged 😂
@@johnreyes4900 The only logical explanation is that Oliver thought he was creating Earth Prime for all the people who were him in at the Dawn of Time, thus Kara ending on Earth 1. But Oliver didnt know that he created a new multiverse that would slowly start sprouting. He even says it during this episode, that new earths will be born etc.
7 years of watching Oliver on Arrow, I hope one day we get to see him again in a revival. I am very grateful that he showed up this once.

The saddest part about this is… When Oliver was asking if Barry gives people hope, moving through his city like a guardian Angel, does he make a difference… And that bolt of lightning chose him… That’s so deep because that’s what Oliver said in The Flash S1, Ep. 1. They did a full circle for us. Man, how far we’ve come. I’m really gonna miss this Show, and all the tears and laughter that came with it. Thanks CW for creating such a beautiful universe, and letting us be apart of it ❤❤❤🫡
I’m glad we got to see oliver for one last time. It’s good to know that he’s still out there alive sort of. This episode had a nice touch to it and I’m happy it ended on a good note for Oliver
Oliver’s dead, but he can materialize on the Earth only in times of the gravest danger, but he’s definitely dead
Well the spectres an entity which means he can't be fully destroyed and he has been keeping an eye on his close friends and family

@@deadpooldan9862that reminded me of how davy jones could only go on land every 10 years in the pirates films. Honestly though seeing Oliver again was the highlight of the final season. It’s still bittersweet since as the audience you kinda want oliver to get his happy ending which he deserved and while him being the spectre and in a state where he’s dead but also not really and he can’t see his family is very sad, but it’s good to know that the father of the arrowverse is still around and is basically the god of the universe.

John finally have a chance to say goodbye to his brother Oliver and a hug from him too and Oliver spent his last moments with Barry in a bar like on the previous crossovers and also Oliver saying good thing to Barry saying guardian angel, become a better man because of him and his friends and family in star city and also saying happy birthday to Barry was touching to his their brothership and the lastly this is the last time we all gonna hear the Green Arrow theme. Goodbye and thank you for everything Oliver Queen aka the Green Arrow "you have save the multiverse again".

First thing that came in my mind
I love that as much as the dialogue fits the story it feels like the real actors complimenting each other for what they’ve brought to these shows and it is clear that the bonds are real through the parts they’re playing. Good send offs and genuine moments.
First words: “What should I call you?” “Diggle’s good. Dig, if you want”
Last words: “I love you John” “I love you too brother”
Goodbye, and thanks for everything, Oliver Queen.
I’m so happy they recalled back to episode 1, with the “Guardian Angel, the lightning bolt chose you” line.
Such a beautiful call back and really should have been the series finale.

Yeah this and when they brought Matt Letscher Reverse-Flash and that encounter in S9 were basically the endings of the show.
That whole Colbalt Blue thing was just so rushed and oddly boring. Like ik the comic book character and eddie from prior seasons but it was SO BAD.
This episode also felt far more like it could've been the end like 3 seasons ago, just going to act like it was tbh.
This episode was better than the past 5 seasons. I just love how their final conversation mirrors how barry went to oliver for advice on being a hero in season 1 episode 1 I JUST LOVE IT
Wow, this episode was amazing. It just did so many things right. It gave us Oliver. It gave us Wally. It officially gave us the Multiverse back. It was creepy, funny and awesome all rolled into one.
I’m really gonna miss the Barry/Oliver dynamic.
It boggles my mind how this episode was so good compared to the rest of Season 9 so far.

That call back to what oliver said to Barry all the way back in season 1 episode one the " you can be a guardian angel watching over your city, saving people in a flash" call back almost made me cry
As someone who fell off hard with everything shortly after Arrow ended, i still love seeing these characters together. Nothing beats the chemistry & teamups between these 2. Not to mention Oliver & Diggle as well.

@@TheQuadFather45 The most frustrating thing is they don't even try to stick to their own lore. Every fucking episode they break rules clearly established in previous episodes, even sometimes in the same season.
The ludicrous science bothers me but I can look past it, the stupid cartoony physics and terrible dialogue, less so, but because the acting is superb and the visuals so stunning, you can kinda zone out and enjoy it on the level of a dog. But constantly contradicting your own lore is just a dealbreaker for me.
As much as I love this universe, if this weren't its last season I would be begging for it to be. At this point they're just insulting the franchise with every episode, with the exception of this one. This ONE episode was written okay, except that it also ignores established lore on multiple levels.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if I one day opened the CW writer's office and found nothing inside but a hamster running on a wheel.

On god me tooo! These little things are so important, I feel like a lot of people skip over them. But I’m glad other people notice it too. It would’ve bugged me if his eyes glowed the whole time, but the final shot of him showing his regular face made such a huge difference.

Hearing the arrow music at the end gave me heartwarming chills. Also him repeating the line from flash season 1 was poetic.
This would have been the perfect ending to the Flash series. Just like how it started. Oliver giving Barry a pep talk/inspiring speech - "do you give people hope? Are you moving through your city like a guardian angel? Do you make a difference? That bolt of lightning chose you! 👏🏹⚡

Well here’s the conclusion of 10 years worth of story between these two and I enjoyed every second of this episode compared the everything else.

This scene makes everything for me come full circle. I was 6 years old when Flash season 1 aired. This show got me through school. This final goodbye to Oliver is perfect. Its the best resolution to the conversation they had in the first episode of Flash. Goodbye Arrowverse. Until we meet again, thank you for everything.
This has got to be by far the best episode of the season excluding the finale

I had some RDJ/MCU vibes here seeing Amell back in the Arrowverse. It was lovely.
Both were billionaires who got their respective universes rolling, and both were "b" list characters in the comics and both died saving the whole ball of wax, so yeah.
Maybe we will see a tony stark aka iron man being cosmic ghost rider x living court to teach Peter Parker the final lesson after earth 616 of mcu tony stark victure, nick fury and mysterio and happy and doctor strange plus green goblin plus dr ock plus sandman plus lizard plus electro and your friendly neighbourhood Tobey Spider-Man and Andrew the amazing Spider-Man lesson .

Honestly, if this is the last time we see Oliver I'm okay because I got to see him depart in peace and that is the closure I need.
For a couple of years atleast. Even though the shows are ending, I would be surprised if we don't get some sort of a "reunion special" a couple years from now like so many other shows/movies have gotten over the years. He'll definitely be back for that when it happens.
I feel like this also helped *me* make peace with the end of Oliver’s story. This is the closure Arrow s8 didn’t really have because Oliver’s life on earth ended with the crossover that didn’t have time for him to say goodbye 😢
My favorite episode so far. These scenes were perfect. You can tell Oliver didn't want to go back to the other side.

Great Episode...needed more Oliver. Diggle got 2 say goodbye. But wish they didn't bring up the Green Lantern stuff. Totally thought Oliver was gonna make a movie flash reference..when taking to Barry... maybe you may meet one of them soon something like that.

Honestly 9x09 and 9x10 would’ve been the perfect wrap-up to the Flash and the Arrowverse overall. They should’ve just ended it there, with Nora’s birth at the end of 9x10.

Oliver as Spectre was the most badass and fitting thing in the Arrowverse
I remember getting into the Arrowverse for the first time 9 years ago. I started with The Flash, then I realized that it connects with Arrow. It wasn’t until the start of 2015 when I was catching up on every season and episode of Arrow that had aired. Never regretted it since. I owe a lot to both shows for getting me started from one show connected to another. Then a year after Covid hit, I spent two months rewatching everything. Believe me, it takes that long depending on your schedule. 😂
But now, I never knew I needed this episode to say goodbye one last time. Oliver was there at the beginning, and now, he gets to see how it ends.
Looking forward to the last four episodes. 😊
i havent seen many people talking about it but Oliver just vanishing out of the blue before Barry can even respond, is very reminiscent of losing a real loved one. unexpected, out of nowhere

Bittersweet ending, I stopped watching the show a long time ago and seeing this makes me feel like they concluded the og cw shows in such a satisfying way ❤.
I remember being so upset when Diggle didn't get his chance to say goodbye before, so this made me all teary eyed when he got his proper goodbye. Sometimes that can be important to a person. I never got the chance to say goodbye to my granddad when he died, so when we got word my grangran was on her way out we made sure I got to say goodbye to her. It meant the world to me. In a way I kind of understood how upset Diggle was about the situation. I felt this was a more proper send off for Ollie.
