    Downpipes and charge pipes should come before a tune in an ideal world. While catless downpipes deliver maximum power and the fastest imaginable turbo spool, you can make 650+ at the crank with an N63TU variant with high-flow cats. Your advice on that front was spot on and for the right reasons. Nice video!

    I have a 2016 750i xdrive. My current mods are catless downpipes, 3” straight pipe, Dinan ignition coils, ARM front facing CAI and charge pipes. I currently have a BM3 93 stage 2 tune. It’s definitely fast for a massive land yacht. The biggest issue with this platform is finding parts for it. For example the ONLY swappable intercoolers costs 3k. There are other options out there but it’s definitely a premium in terms of cost.

      i was thinking of doing this with my 2015 750li but that car is built to be quiet I would hate to change that with a catlkess down pipe. Is there any quieter but freer flowing options?

    • @8020Media
      @8020Media  6 місяців тому +1

      C - High flow catted will be a little quieter. But honestly a downpipe doesn't really make it a lot louder. Now if you're adding a full exhaust, that's where a lot of the sound comes from.

    E85...... Yeah you lost all credibility just by suggesting that e85 makes more power

    • @8020Media
      @8020Media  Рік тому +17

      I think you might be confusing E85 with 85 octane. E85 is 85% ethanol and 15% gasoline. Ethanol has an octane rating of 100+, burns much cooler than gasoline, and has a lower stoichiometric ratio. That means E85 is incredibly knock resistant and allows you to safely advance ignition timing and run higher boost.
      Depending on the mods and setup, full E85 can show power gains of 50-100+whp on the N63 (with the appropriate fueling mods for 100% E85). Looking at a small blend of E85 - like an E30 blend - you can still see power gains of 20+whp on the stock turbos without any fuel system upgrades.
