Couple of corrections. N63TU def has cast pistons. It has forged crank and rods just like the S63TU. Even the S63TU has cast pistons. They just have a slightly different dome profile then the N63TU. The only internal mods Alpina does for example to the N63TU is replace the factory cast pisons with forged. Since the rest of the N63TU is forged. Granted the factory forged rods still are not that large. Also you say your F13 Coupe is 4600, they weight 4233. An F06 Gran Coupe weight 4500. And 4680 with xdrive. Yes off the shelf tunes do ok. But there is even more power in professional tunes. Heatsync Performance Euro for example has a n63tu stock turbo dragy ET world record setting heavy F06 Gran Coupe xdrive running 10.79@126.42 with just downpipes and a tune. With factory 2.5 tmaps. That translates to over 700 HP.
Great vid. I also live in Florida where the summers can get disgustingly hot. This can cause the ekps module to get too hot and shutdown on you (usually seen as “fuel supply” warning with the car stopping every 15 mins or so).. one other thing I’ve done is take the ekps module & drill a 1.5inch (diameter) hole into it. Once drilled, I then attach a small cpu fan where the hole is and have it powered by either a small battery or connect to the fuse box. The ekps module is known for failing when it gets too hot so the fan will circulate air and keep the components cool. (Ekps is located in the trunk underneath everything.. usually to the right of the battery). All done $50… or wait until it fails & the dealership will replace it for 1500$ (because they think it’s a fuel pump failure)..& the new module might still fail when it gets crazy hot.

Nice to know I can get massive power gains with just down pipes and a plug and play tune. 561hp wheel is plenty for me. Someone is always gonna be faster anyway.
I have the 2012 650i MSport RWD I did the 2018 750 I intercooler upgrade on my car big wheel horsepower gains I did stage2 9 blade fin turbo I upgraded the oil cooler lines I put the oil cooler delete so it runs full-time 180° thermostat. What a difference those two made then the 1.4 bar radiator cap Dine and coil packs NGK race X plugs two steps colder cat down pipes straight piped all the way back with an X pipe for back pressure from facing cold air intake. Charge pipes before programmer. The car is insane. I unfortunately blew the first engine I bought it with a bearing issue. The rod bearing did fail. Warranty bought me a brand new engine with nine updates, technically they don’t make the old motor anymore so I got lucky
What carbon fiber hood is that and how come your not using aftermarket hood latches ? Are you not scared your hood will fly open while driving too fast

Where did you get those Arm extensions for the intake? I see a setup for sale for my F13 650ix coupe burt the airfilters are located where the OEM air box is. I like the idea of extending that downward for less heat soak.

Yes. Between the N63tu’s oil consumption and the catless pipes the exhaust is brutal. My friends often report headaches when driving behind me for awhile, but it’s absolutely fine cruising on the highway or driving in regular traffic - only when I’m romping on it does it really stink.

I would like to put stage 2 upgrade turbos , but I wanna first ask you what is your experience about the engine reliabilty with new turbochargers..? I’m no expert. However, consensus is the N63tu (yours being newest is probably better yet) can continue to maintain a reasonable amount of reliability up to about 650whp. If anything, new turbos are new parts, and the N63tu + has lots of forged components. I would also add the oil cooler valve from N63intakes as well as the low temp thermostat. Depending on where in Italy and when you drive the car, in summer it can be very hot

Honestly , I’m a little bit afraid to push the engine close to its limits: probably I will stay like this to keep the engine safe during the next years. After the tuning, I changed the oil and all filters in a shorter time( after 6-7K miles) and the engine maintains a very good shape and performance. Considering its weight (2250 kilos) I’ m pretty happy with the performance: 1/4 mile In 11.4 seconds and 0-60 in 3.6 seconds. Finally , I kindly ask you to recommend me a cold air intake and an oil thermostat , as you advise me, because in the summer season where I live , we have hot temperatures ( between 35 and 40 degrees). Only major issue I had was a coil pack explosion which was caused by a short . I ended up with a new battery, battery sensor, battery sensor cable, a new DME that had to be programmed, and a lot of my time. IMO it is not diy friendly, extremely complex and over engineered

Just read horror stories about the 2012 N63 online so I checked the carfax on the 1 I was about to buy. It says the car has had the coil packs, fuel injectors, and spark plugs all replaced 3 times in 55,000 miles!!?? Yes 3 times! Battery replaced multiple times. I guess the twin turbos make so much heat that it is destroying the coils, plugs etc. I see why you have a vented hood now. Sad because I really wanted to buy it and it was immaculate all black. No way I will buy 1 now. Maybe the N63TU is more reliable in the 2013s and up.
M6 has larger turbos, intercoolers but the transmission is 💩,dct is also from ZF group but ZF auto transmission is better and more reliable than DCT and also more comfortable for daily driving
Would not recommend N63 to anyone that is living paycheck to paycheck. BMW outside of warranty is just an endless money pit. I learned the hard way. BMW X6 was nothing but a endless money pit.

Heatsync tune was with E30, this guy runs 93oct. For 93oct 561whp is great numbers.

I have a 2016 750i and so far it’s straight piped and has a JB4 map 2 tune. It moves pretty good but it is very heavy.

It’s a front mount kit sold directly from ARM. I don’t recommend their intake. It’s a shit design.

Mirrors are amazon 😅 pre-LCI mirrors are non-existent for the 6. Hood is Magna tuning

Depends on your year, the pre LCI usually has 2 bolt flanges.

Water in small amounts isn't harmful and actually knocks carbon off of the valves. Similar to methanol/water injection to cool combustion Temps.
