Have you tried to use screws instead of soldering the keyboard? I have done that with the 2015, I believe that comes riveted but you can replace the broken rivets with keyboard screws

Hi hope you can help me. I am not from the US but I am willing to ship my laptop if necessary.
I have my laptop checked, and according to the repair man, it corroded the mother board. Screen, Keyboard, Touchbar and trackpad are no longer working.
Can it still be fixed? We don’t have great tools that could fix it here. Maybe that’s one point that can’t fix it.

What about the water in the screen? Blotches etc. under the glass? Will that dry on its own?

Hi not really, you can open the Display and seperate the LCD from the Backlight and maybe clean it or replace the Backlight. But its risky and you can easily break the LCD
