Stop making it look so easy.... super job man. Too bad this person did not think about AppleCare+ for these expensive devices - but your repair was outstanding.
How much did the repair cost since it was a liquid spill?
Worst case scenario: More than the price of the laptop brand new due to part sourcing and labor.
best case scenario: Logic board, keyboard and trackpad damage, around $1700 to repair.
Get Applecare+.
Hi, I have a mac pro m1 14 inch. I have similar issue with water damage and apple says it is unrepairable. can you please help me with that?
Thanks for the video. I have a Macbook M1 Pro that I spilled coffee with cream on the keyboard a few months ago. The keys stick when it's humid, but in AC they don't. Otherwise the Mac is working fine. Is there a way to get behind the keys, and somehow get rid of the stickiness please?
As it is sticky and it is a sugary substance any type of cleeaning can easily damage the keyboard. It is best for use of an ultrasonic or to replace it. We have videos on our channel showing both options 🤓
Looks like the loose components are from the manufacture process. Probably ramp down cooling too fast caused them to detach. Happens a lot with apple coils and ceramic.
Happens on the iPad PRo 10.5 (one of the earlier ones) as well, those coils break their legs.
Is the flexgate for the screen cable fixed on this model?

The flexgate issue has to do with the cable not being long enough and it "stretches" every time it opens and closes. This does appear to be a redesign and the cables are completely different. Also the cable is covered on this model, at least it will help prevent from getting easily damaged via dirt, food etc. Hopefully not anymore =)

How bad is it if water falls at the bottom of the screen from a bottle drop for 2-3s without being on keyboard? Can it go through air entry?
My Power Button flex cable is damaged. where are the Power on pins located to short them just to check?
Hi, so I quickly bring my macbook to the service center after the liquid (milk) spill, the laptop still function normally, but it was turned on a few times for diagnostics check up. Also, they said it'd take 10-14 weeks to open up, will it be saveable 😥

I spilled beer on my 14 inch :( i left it for 2 days and now its restarting randomly. I haven’t touched it since. Generally how much are these repairs with your store? I know i cant get an exact quote but what is the average amount people pay for these kind of repairs? Apple quoted me 1500 dollars i would just buy a new laptop at that point.
(The laptop was closed when it was spilled on, nothing got in the keys i dont think. But i could be wrong.)

Most likely there is an issue with the battery. Check if it says "service now" in About this mac - System Report - Power
