Not likely. California likes to keep plenty of brush and other fire loving materials in with their trees so they have something to blame conservatives with as well as getting that talking point "climate change" in the conversation. Why else would officials prohibit fire prevention methods from being used to clean out the forests and to lesson massive fires?
It suspiciously rains the week after Fires in California. I noticed because several years in a a row I'm thinking "man this rain should have been here last week to help the fire fighters out."

I feel.like we're just having a normal old fashioned winter. I'm from Montana. Recent past winters have been fairly mild with low snowfall. But this year, so far, we're getting more snow and colder weather. Like when I was a young girl. Normal. The snow would fall early and never go away all winter
love the snow videos what kind of vehicle do you use to get around during these events and how do you have it set up do you have emergency supplies as a just in case maybe that would be a cool video to do with what you have hows its set up and what kind of supplies you carry with you
Too many vehicles to list. I have a couple of Subarus and a Rav4 Hyrbid, all lifted with all terrain heavy snow rated tires. I also have studded ice tires for the rare ice storms but I am located in the deep south and snow more than a foot is just extremely rare here but it only takes a few inches to cause huge problems. When I fly into these big snow events in NY and CA then I'm left renting. I focus on ground clearance more than anything else because getting stuck on the frame is very difficult to dig out. Every other situation is easier to manage. I carry water and snacks for a few days, dress warm with layers and keep my suitcase in the vehicle with extra clothes. Carry a tow rope, shovel and good snow brush. I've been stuck before but nothing I couldn't get out of pretty quick. I pull a ton of people out every event to try and keep fate on my side. The most important thing is knowing the limitation of the vehicle and experience driving in snow. I also turn all the baby sitter aids like traction control, vehicle stability and everything else off. Knowing how to drift and use power to steer comes in handy to keep momentum in deep snow. One day I'll do a video on my personal cars. They really are quite unique. I buy a new snow shovel every time I fly in to a storm. I buy about 15 snow shovels a year and donate them to stranded motorists too deep to pull on the way out of town.

@@mjremy2605 Yeah, that's excessive when your life is threatened. I seem to remember hearing about New York hauling snow out of town with dump trucks. Salt Lake City had so much snow one year, and an inversion. It just kept piling up. The plows would throw it on parked cars and front yards and people were getting buried. Crazy stuff.
I’m up in 7,000ft elevation on north side of the Sierra Nevadas. Me and my Pup got over 3 feet at my cabin
A BLESSING.
Great drone flying and video
The extra moisture might help with their annual forest fires situation.
@@stoundingresults suspicious rain, ok. You're MTG and I claim my $5
No chance. California is idiocracy in motion - watch record fires break out in August/September time frame.
It makes the grasses grow, then the grass dries up in the summer, then the winds in the fall and one spark is all it takes.
I loved this and have experienced some of these situations. Be safe out there drivers.
Very awesome footage
Mother Nature’s way of saying”I love you”. ❄️
Nice, lots more, please!
Well, as a Canadian from Quebec that sees this type of weather as a typical winter day, all I can say to Californians is: Welcome to Winter Canada! Enjoy making snowmen! :)
I agree, cheers from st bruno
The Sierra Nevada gets WAY more snow than Quebec.
Donner Pass averages 3 times the snowfall annually than Quebec.
You are full of it.
@@TheBandit7613 And, the Sierras are high mountains; the average elevation around Lake Tahoe is about 7000 feet. Nothing in Quebec is that high.
Let's put away the childishness and be real adults here. We're all going through bizarre times, and such behavior is not going to help.
@@TheBandit7613 wow those be some fighting words question you always have to win? We are having a simple convo here , miserable or what geez
It’s beautiful!
I never knew California could get any snow like that this is incredible this must be around Donner Pass and Truckee Lake Arrowhead and all that
Shasta mountain range
Great video! Stay safe.
2005 early November, heading back to Michigan in my Cadillac, so loaded down the tires had about 1/2 inch clearance from the fender wells, pushing snow almost to the top of my hood. I was the only vehicle on the road, going through Donner pass, and it was easy-peasy at a steady 40 MPH. When I got back home, my dad asked me how many sets of chains I went through, and I was like, "What chains?"
Excellent tires. Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays.
I did it too in my Chrysler 300. All exits in Donner Pass were blocked by Highway Patrols. No choice. Whiteout chains
Once every 200 years or so...drought, wildfires, wind and then....Tada! Record snowfalls. Here's looking to a record snowpack!

Thank god it is snowing. We are in our 3rd year into the drought and we need a lot of snow and rain to make up for the deficits in the last 2 years.
No snow hear just north of Toronto! Just a dusting so far this year ! Did i just jinx us ? Stay safe California! 🇨🇦🇺🇸
Glad to see that they’ll have a good snowpack this year. Any moisture is a scarce commodity these days in the valley and down south. 👍☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️☘️
We need it. Keep it coming
I live in Houston Texas now and watching these videos is gonna keep me and my 4WD 4Runner awake at night.
I love snow! I wish we had that!!
Nicely made video...well done.
I used to drive semi truck out that way and I don’t miss it on bit. This looks like I-80 in the Donner Pass area or on I-5 in the mountains. It’s all headed east now.
First time driving my rig to Cali from east coast to Reno thru donner down 15 got stopped by chp outside mammoth mtn. Cop says where you coming from?, I say R.I. he says what you don't like chains? I say yeah I'm wearing one. With that I get escorted right off the next exit. No ticket tho.
Im envious! We want white xmas too...
I feel.like we're just having a normal old fashioned winter. I'm from Montana. Recent past winters have been fairly mild with low snowfall. But this year, so far, we're getting more snow and colder weather. Like when I was a young girl. Normal. The snow would fall early and never go away all winter
we need the snow, the land needs the water. This is good hopefully
Amazing weather conditions.
love the snow videos what kind of vehicle do you use to get around during these events and how do you have it set up do you have emergency supplies as a just in case maybe that would be a cool video to do with what you have hows its set up and what kind of supplies you carry with you
Too many vehicles to list.
@@WxChasing I'm in Northern VA 3 miles from Dulles and we don't get the snow like we used to and I plow snow battled many 2 ft snows over the years. We are in what i call snow drought most of t he time when it snows if it snows is usually gone the next day. And they are so many lets say immigrants from the south west when it snows it causes great havoic on the roads let alone that everyone forgets how to drive in the snow. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Glad to hear your prepared when your out and about making great snow videos.
I think the Donner party dealt with those conditions?? Hopefully it mitigates the fire situation. Finally the west gets a little break from the drought !!
They probably need 12 good winters in a row to rebound from this 29 yr drought
Pray everyone makes it home safely.
I’ve never seen so much snow! Excellent video.
more than normal? in spring when it melts and there's no ground cover due to fires will we see massive erosion/floods/landslides?
More than normal, it is a powerful storm. Not unusual though. And you are correct. The snowpack is melting away 45 days earlier and creating longer fire seasons and shorter snow seasons. The normal in that area is now just extreme.
Yes it is unusual…people need to stop believing the lies. Judgement is on the land and God will destroy this earth…read your Bible people.

That's awesome news! That snow melt goes into the Feather river and into Lake Oroville.
First time in years I've seen a snow blowing plow like at the beginning. They used them in northern Canada 45 years ago, blowing snow back 30 - 40' between houses. I don't miss driving in those conditions.
they have them all over the sierras--mammoth lakes where i live has at least 4 of them
Used them 3 years ago in Terrace BC. Not sure where you've been lol

Beautiful! Respect the process and expect the unexpected. If you are apprehensive about driving in the snow, stay home. I love it. Ty for sharing
Build a series of snow sheds over the main highways over Donner Pass, that way snow won't affect traffic there.
in the late 1800, a snow shed was built over the railway tracks, 27 miles long, and was at the time the largest building in the world
Just make flying cars
