Pennine Way 24 Day 9 - Hawes to Keld

The day started brightly enough to wear shorts, but the weather deteriorated towards the end, which made that decision a mistake. You’d think with all my experience you know better than to wear shorts when it’s raining! Wet boots and socks was the result.
Great Shunner Fell was spectacular and the stretch between Thwaite and Keld although rugged was also very attractive.
And Keld Lodge was a great place to spend the evening with its collection of walkers and eccentric host David. ‪@Philos1963‬
