  • CIGA Design sent me their latest version of the Series U Blue Planet in their ceramic case for review and I have to say, everything from the 24K yellow gold dial to its striking ceramic case and bracelet is a major luxurious upgrade from the previous Titanium version I reviewed. In this video, we are doing an in-depth review of this stunning piece from CIGA Design and my thoughts in comparison to their previous version. This is my first ceramic watch I am now a proud owner of and so far loving every moment with this being a statement piece in the collection.

    Cool to see them going out and doing something slightly different while keeping their original aesthetic. Personally I don't have any full ceramic watches but I've encountered many and I will say that there are "grades" to them, the bracelet design and fingerprint-magent properties remind me of Rado. The gilt globe idea is a neat one and hopefully they can play with that idea more in the future, maybe a vantablack sea with gold terra firma lol. Another good video, cheers!

      That’s a good point. Like any material, there seems to be a level of grade across the board. A vantablack anything would look amazing. Still yet to see this mysterious material. Thanks for sharing and again taking the time to watch my videos!

    From your last video, I got the blue planet and you were right, I got more compliments from people than my Explorer II. This watch is very unique the way it’s designed and appearance. Thank you for introducing another model although not sure if I would get one. Beautiful video and content as always. Keep up the good work and keep more video coming. Thanks!

    I wish they would make a version that was a top down view from the north pole, and one full rotation was 24 hours instead of 12 hours. That would be way cooler. Doesn't make sense for the map to rotate around the indian ocean, or rotate twice in a day.
    Would also be cool if it has a GMT offset, so that noon in my time zone would show my part of the planet facing 12.

    Thanks for the video. My wrist is smaller, would I be able to shorten the ceramic strap?

      @ClickyBezel  11 місяців тому

      Absolutely! Although, it is a bit tough to change out the ceramic links but once you get it sized to your wrist, you should be fine. I suggest taking it to your local watch shop to get it sized for you if you’re not 100% confident 😃

    Great video, I love that watch, but definitely too big for my wrist and does not fit my lifestyle. Having said that, this brand is definitely at the top of my list

      That’s great to hear! If you have access to try this watch on, I’d definitely would give it a shot as you may be surprised how well it wears for the sizing. Thanks for watching and hope to see you in the next one :)

    Got the Blue planet (World Earth Day Edition) and the Lunar Expedition limited edition (199 produced)- can't quite justify picking up a third model..

      You might be surprised how much smaller it wears on the wrist but yes, it definitely is a big boy. Thanks for watching!

    its a beautiful piece. but unfortunately, with my 6.5inch wrists, it's not going to look good.
