    For Americans: coriander = cilantro :)

      Nakidz I'm American and I call it coriander as well.

    • @Autumn_Forest_
      @Autumn_Forest_ 6 років тому +71

      No, what we Americans call coriander is something else. Look it up. We have "cilantro" and "coriander" (the seeds of cilantro) in our vocabulary. What she referred to here is cilantro.

    • @SonyaLCH
      @SonyaLCH 6 років тому +49

      Yes, usually in US recipes we refer to coriander as cilantro and if we are talking coriander, it's the seed. No one is saying that NO ONE in the US uses the term "coriander" for cilantro. But it IS usually referred to as cilantro here. This was a helpful comment. Not sure what the dispute is about.

      Tried it today. It is not. Looks like Mac&Cheese but tastes like water with flour and broth. Propably because of the Glutamine of the nutritional yeast. It doesn´t taste super bad but not as good to make it another time. And i used fresh onions and fried them in oil, which shouldn´t make the taste worse. How should something taste like cheese if there is barely fat in it.

      Mirai Williams I just made it now and I was SHOCKED at how delicious it was. Truly. And I am not a vegan. Creamy texture, delicious flavor, and no weird aftertaste. It took less than 15 minutes from start to finish and it doesn't feel heavy in my stomach. Completely worth trying. 👍🏼👍🏼

    • @Spontanika
      @Spontanika 6 років тому +2

      I don´t know where you buy your cashews but usually they´re around 42-44% of fat. So half a cup is around 20g of fat. Which is far less than in Mac&Cheese.

    It was genius to use chickpeas as the masala for the chickpeas! I have never thought of that before, probably cause I'm indian and am used to using traditional methods of cooking. But as a vegan, it's sometimes a MUST to change certain Indian recipes to make them healthier and vegan.

      Hey I‘m indian/german and I’m vegetarian. Right now I’m trying to cut down dairy products but as an Indian it’s kinda hard since we cook a lot with dairy products especially avoiding curd is really difficult for me. I tried soy milk but I don’t like the taste of it at all so I don’t think that it would be a good substitute to curd. Do you have some tipps how I can replace dairy products in indian dishes without ruining the taste?😕

      Try making a cashew paste by grinding some cashews with water or even soy milk, it tastes better and is a lot more richer than dairy. Only downside though is cashews are quite expensive.

    I did the last one and it was great! My fav go to easy meal is pasta with simple tomato sauce - lot of olive oil, fry a lot of onion and garlick, add tomatoes, fry a bit and blend with a blender. Great thing about this is you dont have to cut anything precisely because you blend it and you dont have to peel tomatoes (if you fry it for a moment and then blend the skin gets so soft it blends with the rest). It takes like 5minutes to make :)

    I do enjoy your recipe ideas. Thanks. Please can you put the recipe in black ink in future though, I find it hard to clearly read ( and write down) quickly when it is over light colored ingredients. Thanks!

    One cannot fry nor sautee in water. One also misses out on Flavor compounds and vitamins soluble only in fats. 2 teaspoons of healthy oil prevents no problem promoting a healthy vegan body. I am a physician with a PhD in specialized nutrition.

      @@pedro6720 there are a lot of reasons as to why veganism might be hard for certain people maybe not getting enough nutrients or not knowing how to eat vegan or simply lacking motivation

    These look awesome. Especially the mac and cheese. My go to recipe is cubed tofu and diced veggies (poblano peppers, red and yellow bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, broccoli, and portabello mushrooms) marinated in Trader Joe's Korean BBQ Sauce and tossed in the air fryer for 15-20 minutes. I serve it over rice with Soy Sauce and sometimes throw in spinach at the end. Delicious, easy, and quick.

    I am positively sure this is the first vegan recipes list that made me wonder why I should eat any meat ever again. I do eat meat but usually don't cook it myself anymore as I eat enough dead animals in restaurants, so I don't buy meat for home cooking. These all look so amazing I want to have every single one tonight!
