Pescatarian diet for a year it was good but eventually I caved and started eating chicken and one thing led to another and keto for a year but kudos to you on the 5 years you put into keto 💪🏽by the way keto was great in many ways just didn’t feel as strong on it I started adding carbs slowly like oatmeal and brown rice and noticed that I haven’t blown up by going back on carbs like you see with most people

If you aint dead that means that diet works... i have tried ketogenic, keto, atkins, for 2 years i was not able to build muscle (i ran marathons fasted with keto in top groups without problem but i ran while not being on keto too in same times while having more muscle so there is no performance decline on keto) and get all the vitamins and minerals so i just do IF 4:20 warrior diet and eat carbs, fats, protein... (i can say i am keto adapted) keto works but i would only do it before stage or competition for regular humans it is a huge stress ... just do IF and drink gallon a day + coffee in the morning (that water intake makes me look lean even when bulking). have been following you for years been anywhere from 60kg to 100kg so it is all mental the obstacles. last years i have been doing full body workouts 1-2 times a week and that stuff worked insanely good i have gained muscle and maintained it easily... bro splits don't work as well as full body and are more time consuming overall... thanks for being an example 💪

Years a go I thought this diet was bull. Man I was wrong I've been doing it for 4 months now and I feel great. I don't crave carbs, my skin got clear I got lean definitely not going back to my old way of eating.

You recommend Keto to build muscles if someone have not so much muscles? Or is it better to build with carbs and then go on keto for the health benefits?
I‘m 42 years, weight 72kg and height 180cm. I want to build muscles on keto because the benefits from ketones. And i love Serrano more then bananas and oats.

Question: does the Keto diet get rid of body-fat (especially the waist, to get back the 6-pack) too, much more than other healthy diets like the Mediterranean etc? Cause you only mentioned water loss oroviding more leanness? Thank you!
No diet will spot reduce fat from the body but keto is awesome to cut fat as long as your in a calorie deficit
I usually do 5 months of keto in a year. 2 months in spring and 3 in autumn. At summer I like to chill on the beach, drink some beer, eat a pizza, etc. And at X-mass, I can't say no for everything. It's ok for me by this way. :)

Done keto for 2 years great diet however my cholesterol went too high so back to a bit more balance but still use keto as a tool every now and then

High cholesterol is no reason to go keto. High cholesterol is not an issue. High inflammation and triglycerides are the issue... Processed foods are the issue.

Keto isn’t really a healthy diet. Don’t get me wrong It will get the job done done it isn’t as healthy as it seems.

While you will lose weight and it will have you feeling better that is only because you aren’t eating as much as you use to and your body is using a different source of energy. You can get the same results a nutritious plant based diet. Meat especially bacon/eggs/ fish are great contributions to heart disease and cancer. Also if you focus on eating a nutritarian diet you won’t relapse and regain weight. I’ll post a link to a good nutritarian to follow.

@akio you can eat as many vegetables as you want on keto. You can also do vegan keto. The ketogenic diet is just a macro nutrient ratio. Not only is it healthy it was actually invented by doctors.

It might be the world's most researched fact that high intakes of saturated fat leads to high levels of blood cholesterol. Of course you can do keto with focus on unsaturated fats (olive oil, nuts, salmon, avocados etc.) which is ok and healthy. You should emphasize this when showing pictures of meat and bacon.
