The sheer bravery to cover the great Marvin Gaye, is amazing. Then to absolutely kill it? What a legend.
This isn't Marvin Gaye's song either so it's not a cover.
@@ins1981Lestagree with you , but CCR, the band a great version of this marvelous song👍daniel. And réaction, like always,SUPER all times. Bravo 🙌
@@ins1981Lest That's some twisted logic there, that a band who does a remake of a song, isn't doing a cover. Walk me through your logic how someone doing it before Marvin Gaye, somehow magically transforms this song in to an original recording for CCR.
@@Tijuanabill IT'S NOT A COVER OF MARTIN'S SONG...... Let me educate you on the history of music since your'e so desperate to attack my logic. In the past, songs were written by writers working for record companies. They weren't intended for any artist in particular, like jazz standards, which have been sung by countless artists. 'Grapevine' was written by a couple of writers who worked for Motown and they distributed it to several artists. SO IT DOESN'T BELONG TO A SINGLE ARTIST, THEREFORE IT IS NOT A COVER. It's a version. Marvin has one, Gladys Knight and the Pips did one, CCR of course, and a few more groups.
@@Tijuanabill She never said it was an original recording so calm down.
As far as I am concerned this is the best cover of any song by anyone ever. This was released in 1970. We were so spoilt back then.
YES we were! I got this album brand new ✌💖☮
Absolutely
I appreciate that sentiment, however, I think Led Zeppelin did some very amazing covers of old Delta blues songs. Cheers! 🍻
I don't think I will disagree but you should listen to Rare Earth cover of Temptations Get Ready, long version. I think it will be a real treat. Also 1970 or 1971.
@@georgescanlon9738 I have and it is outstanding
The music from the 60's is RAW!!!! No computers!!! No the technical Auto-tunes or electronic advancements of today....Just real raw talent!!! And it is at the beginnings of Rock n Roll!!!! Raw!!!
And this is exactly why I love it, especially CCR, their music is just amazing, and no one else has that sound
The one thing that come across in your reactions, is the genuine joy for the music. When you hear music that touches your soul, it's a special thing.
CCR's arrangements were so so simple but they filled the spaces just perfectly. Very few musicians/bands know when NOT to play/sing, but those who do it well are the cream of the crop.
So, glad that you played the real version. Their talent is intelligent, ingenious & beautiful! CCR has never put out a unlikable piece. Appreciations for sharing.
These gentlemen have no bad songs. ♥♥🔥🔥🔥
Ah....HA!!!! Ipso! FACTO Love 'em!
True that!😊
Appreciate you listening to the long (real) version. This is also shown as a live music video and well worth the watch. The guys are having so much FUN!
You're not human if you can listen to this without tapping your foot! 😊
What are you talking about my whole leg is shaking
I’m a metal head and this makes my whole body move
That driving rhythm, guitar, and vocal…..oh my goodness!
Dominika's extended speech at the end about how much she loves CCR... was just beautiful to watch. She was overflowing with a heart full of joy for the music.
You two are so much fun to watch. Such a great couple.
So glad you went for the long version. 🤩
Yes, without those solos it's disappointing.
John not only sings great, but he sings great with his gui-tar too. 😎
That's right 👍🎸
Thank you for you guys reactions! This is CCR at their BEST!!!! Love CCR!!!! LOVE this song. One of my favorites!!! CCR is one of my all-time favorite Rock bands!!!!
I am jealous of you guys hearing this song for the first time. I remember hearing this song 50 years ago and had the same reaction. Good vibes
Thx’s for playing long version. Iconic!!!
Great jam to a classic song. Doug Clifford pounding them drums like a jackhammer.
This is the long version, it's killer. 😎
You are going to be very happy to know CCR has a large selection of some of the best ever. everybody on the planet needs to hear them sing and play so that they might live happily everafter.
Fogerty has soul in his voice and in his guitar strings. His guitar alone just makes you feel some type of way.
Have you done CCR ‘Down On The Corner’. Great reaction!
That song always makes me feel like I'm driving on the bridge over lake Pontchartrain in Louisiana. Amazing how a group from SOUTHERN California can make it so swampy
You're right, but they were from Norther California I'm pretty sure. 👍
Yes, Northern California 😎
Great reaction.
This album, Cosmo’s Factory, was their biggest album. The last cut on the album was “Long As I Can See The Light”. It is truly unbelievable.
John Fogerty would tell you it’s probably the best song he ever wrote. It’s certainly the best song he ever sang. Very sad. But hopeful too, in a way. His sax solo, again, is just kind of unbelievable, especially for somebody who’s not a sax player.
I think if you react to it, just react to the song. Listen to it, and words, and his vocals through those headphones. It will transport you someplace else. No need for some after the fact video to help you get this one. Although there is a present day video somebody has produced.
Thanks for your reactions. You’re doing great work!
@@ShannonKoch-j5d Berkeley California, to be exact.😎
Excellent! The long version is WAY BETTER than the radio version…..
❤CCR❤🎉🎉🎉🎉 Always a WIN🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
This song and I Put a Spell on You are my fave CCR songs this band has been a fave since I was a child in the 1960s and basically grew up with their music.
I love this song. 😎
Finally, a reaction to the full version. Thanks!
There you go again..... taken me back..... IN THE DAY!!! U GUYS R THE BEST❣️👍👍❤❤✌️
Thank both of you for yet another GREAT reaction!! Enjoyed watching y'all "dance" in your seats! (Shout out to Andrei!!) LOVE YOU GUYS....best of UA-cam!
Excellent cover by Creedence!! I love it!!!❤
Greatest musical generation the world has ever seen!🎶🎶🌎🎶🎶 We put a Drum Kit in every garage !!😜..🇺🇸❤🇬🇧..😅
Try 'Lodi' as your next CCR adventure. It's my favorite CCR track.
Absolutely my favorite band when I was a teenager in the 70s. Love CCR!
As y'all know..CCR has very few, if any, bad music! Thank you for the reaction, it was pure joy watching you!💖💖
I would love to see you react to Bob Seger "Night Moves", another artist who has few bad songs and we grew up with!
Welcome to the CCR fan club ❤❤❤❤❤. The joy in your eyes and faces is just beautiful. There's a whole lot of music out there for you
I love them too !!!
Unbelievable song especially the jam session
One of CCRs best! You picked the long version which is the one to listen to to get the full CCR 'in the swamp' vibe. Love your reaction!
Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong wrote I Heard It Through the Grapevine. The first recorded version was by Gladys Knight and the Pips, and used a very different arrangement from the Marvin Gaye and CCR versions.
Whitfield and Strong wrote a lot of songs, mostly for Motown artists. Some of their other songs are Ain't Too Proud to Beg, Ball of Confusion (That's What the World Is Today), Car Wash, Cloud Nine, I Can't Get Next to You, I Wish It Would Rain, Just My Imagination (Running Away with Me), Papa Was a Rollin' Stone, Psychedelic Shack, Superstar (Remember How You Got Where You Are), The Undisputed Truth, War, and You're My Everything. Most of these were recorded by The Temptations.
Barrett Strong was also a singer. His biggest hit was Money (That's What I Want), which was the first hit record for the Motown label.
The recording/release history is all mixed up. It was written for Gladys Knight but they were the third to record it. The Miracles recorded it first, then Marvin Gaye, and finally Gladys Knight. But her version was the first released. It became Motown's biggest seller up to that point. Then the Miracles recording was released almost a year later, and then the Marvin Gaye version was released and eclipsed the original. And this was released a year and a half later.
Thank you for the info. Warm wishes from Romania ☺️
you reviewed one of the greatest studio jam sessions ever.
You’re welcome in America, America has so much music to share with the world. You would love the country, music, food and friendly people.
Maybe one day 😊💚
An oldie and a goodie for sure; a different track than I usually heard on the radio, but same melody and lyrics. The grapevine was the gossip from one person to another to another. Classic 70s rock, so good, thanks, guys👍🏻
All this great music came out when I was a teenager. CCR, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Janice Joplin… 🎉
It's nice seeing you enjoying CCR! The vocals and instruments are so recognizable. I was still in High school when their string of hits started and still enjoy their sound to this day.
My CCR favorite by far. Great workout tune!
They took this song, had fun with it and made it their own. You just have to move when you listen, it's just an energetic good time 🎉🎉🎉
It was really hard to stay in the chair 😁💚
There was a huge successful commercial for California Raisins and I Heard it Through the Grapevine was sung by the raisins great animation for that long ago you should definitely react to the California Raisins singing I Heard it Through the Grapevine
Real music. It's fun to just rock out to a song sometimes feeling nothing but happiness!!
Good morning Andrei & Dominika. One of the best covers ever! Love you guys!
Rock on, Dominika! Andre’s in the groove! Get down! CCR, good stuff!
This is such a great song. I like all 3 hit versions of this songs by Gladys Knight & The Pips, Marvin Gaye & CCR. But my favorite is by CCR. Glad you listened to the 11 min. studio version by them. It is a masterpiece. You have a huge catalogue of CCR's songs to go through. "Bad Moon Rising", "Lodi", "Feelin' Blue", "Commotion", "Night Time Is The Right Time", "Down On The Corner", "Fortunate Son", "Cotton Fields", "Midnight Special", "Who'll Stop The Rain", "Up Around the Bend", "Run Through The Jungle", "Long As I Can See the Light", "Suzie Q", "Sweet Hitch-Hiker" etc.
There y'all go again "GROOVIN" 😎🎵
"Fortunate Son" is my favorite CCR song but i love them all.
Imagine being a teenager cruising with your friends around your home town listening to this song on the radio with the volume full blast. That teenager was me. It was fantastic. BTW - another GREAT CCR song is "Fortunate Son."
That was me too
Wonderful, I was cruising with my good friend back in 70s England!!...
With a few smokes, obviously!!..
I forgot how good this was. I actually have this album stashed away somewhere in storage. I inherited my older brother's album collection when he passed, and this one is definitely in there.
I should dig it out and give it a spin. The entire album is great, as I recall.
There's good people all over the world and music brings us together love your reaction
One song by them that is always overshadowed to everyones great loss is Graveyard Train. About a guy who has a fight with his woman and she runs out. Before they can work the problem out she is killed in an accident. Many dont know the song but Imho its among their best.
It's brilliant, in the style of Howlin' Wolf I think. Very underrated song.
I know this song my wife and l listened to it she caught that train 2 years ago
The guitar solos sends it to another stratosphere. Period.
Purfectly portrays the heartbreak....
There was a raisin commercial back in the day.. ( Don't ask me when, I'm 67 yrs old).. and the raisins came out of the box onto the table, dancing to this song), so whenever this song starts up, I see dancing raisins.
🤣
OMG… CANT IMAGINE HOW MANY TIMES IVE PLAYED THIS SONG IN THE LAST 54yrs. EPIC EPIC EPIC..!!! WROTE A SONG FOR EVERYONE, SUZIE Q… TWO SONGS UR GONNA LOVE. ROCK ON 👊🖖
Some random thoughts.....glad you listened to the longer version of this song.....one of my favorite bands.....back in the day, CCR described themselves as lean, clean, and bluesy.....toward the end of this song, the bass seems to ramble more in a most delightful way. Thanks and keep up the good work.
I'm happy y'all decided to do this version, I think the ending with the guitar solo is special..
CCR were great .Perfect sound for the times. Everyone liked them in their heyday. There must be someone who didn’t like them then but I didn’t come across them. Thanks that was fun.
Love your reactions to all the great music ! Thank you for keeping this music alive in all of us ❤
Glad you like them! Love and peace from Romania 💚
one of the very few reactors to play the long version of this song. good job!
Can't get any better than CCR. Even if it's A song about a break up you just can't help but want to dance. John Fogerty's voice is one of a kind. He could sing anything and I would have to bop along. Love you guys. Great reaction as always. Peace, love and great music...✌🤗😁😁😁😁💃💃💃💃💃💃💃💃
Thank you 😊💚
All you'r followers and Patreons waited for someone like you both , Reactors with the heart and soul at the right spot ... feel to be alive ... god bless you , stay healthy and what you are ... two hearts beat together in this crazy times
I had this album as a teenager, and I used to sit in my room playing this song over and over again!
Funny thing, so happy to hear this song and sad for the years I missed enjoying it in the past. Well, better late than never. ✌🏻
When my son was about 10 my older sister would take him on road trips and my sister had The Doors, CCR, Beatles, Stones blasting. Now he is in his mid 30’s he knows all the tunes from the late 60’s 😊 he’s into Japanese music nowadays but still knows these great classics!
I’m pleased you love ccr , I was a teen in the sixties and they were great , we were so lucky then , great groups ,
Great song & great reaction! What more could you ask for in a reaction? Nothing more, nothing less! I'm so happy you two appreciate CCR! They're the greatest & so timeless. Much love & inner peace! ❤ ✌🏼
This tune is so groovy👍🎶💕
One of the great covers of all time. And Dominika.....you have a an appreciation of great drumming from one of your favorites....a guy named Neil Peart.
That's true. I love Neil Peart! Thanks to him I pay more attention to drummers now. Warm greetings from Romania 💚
Well, Dominika, I think you both are on a journey through music, through times, through cultures, through many countries, and through emotions.
That's so true 💚
Thank you for reacting to the longer version of this song!
Great music is indeed timeless! 🎵🎵🎵🎵
I always enjoy your reactions they make the songs even better and I've heard them a thousand times! Good job!
Happy you liked it 😊💚
One of my favorite all time bands. Wore out an 8 tape of their songs. while riding around in my 65 Catalina . Check out the California Raisins version.
Domenika: Your statement summarizing your musical journey..."So well said!"..AND..you nearly said "..I never 'hoyd'.....Not quite, but nearly. I loved it!
Unexpected! That was gold : )
Welcome! You are now official members of the CCR Soul Transformation Club..... FEEL the difference! Woo Hoo!!

Love you guys! Thanks
Music is human - everybody can dance!
If you don't move to this song, you'll never will.
CCR song Proud Mary 😀
Saw these bad boys in concert! ( bad meaning good) great times! That was John on guitar! Sweeeeeet!
I am 64 years old. This song is imprinted on my brain. As a kid with much older siblings, and a groovy mother, this is all I heard over and over all day while my father was at work. I remember dancing with my Mom in the family living room in front of the console stereo. This and Herb Albert . Or Hey Jude.
Beautiful memories 😍
Plus there are whole worlds of JAZZ, CLASSICAL AND BLUE GRASS AND MORE!!!!!
I truly love love love these guys this is a great reaction love from Manchester in the uk ❤❤ sent to you both.
G'day my favorite music reaction couple!

There is a great music video of them performing this song.
Back in the Day, that song was playing on every Beer Bar I walked into. "Run thru the Jungle" is another one. I'm old now. USMC Nam Vet.
I am so happy that You guys love this band as much as I do: I was 9 years old when I listened a cover for the band Cream by a Guatemalan band " SOS ", song was Medalla, but by cream's name was badge, and I really loved all the pop in the sixties in spanish and english, specially the seventies; Creedence was my first favorite group when I was eleven years old, then I got to know Grand Funk railroad, then the rest of Great American Bands together with the british bands: thank you for loving this music so much part of my childhood, lived in San Francisco CA., for 30 years, now living the the Guatemalan highlands, still loving to hear CCR, and all the great american Rock and Pop music forever!
Thank you for sharing and glad you enjoyed it 😊
You guys are great. Hope you come over. People are people.
That's right 👍💚
