Four guys just playing, no gimmicks, no lightshow, no dancers and still they get the crowd to dance & be happy. And no cell phones makes it even better....
Did you notice how everyone was enjoying themselves and into the music. No cell phones! Oh, how this old man misses those days. Concerts were so fun back then. It was music and just about the music. Peace my friends!
So many great songs: Sweet Hitchhiker, Down On The Corner, Fortunate Son, Midnite Special, Who Will Stop The Rain, Have You Ever Seen The Rain, Travelin' Band & Born On The Bayou
Keep On Chooglin' is my favorite CCR tune. I was a young teenager when this was released. All my friends would get together on Saturday night and play music. Chooglin' is the best to dance to. So much fun. Thank you.
Why why why have anybody else not reacted to this song but they did not choose the right one you guys got the right one I’m surprised that stage didn’t catch on fire. I wish more people would have reacted to this one. Good job.
pure FUN!! Can you feel the vibe ..I was dancing in my kitchen!!JOY...and I have been to many concerts just like this back in the 70's. It so freeing..I can't explain it but is an experience that takes you out of this paradigm
CCR has the highest slugging percentage of all time. Seemingly every time you listen to one of their songs, it becomes your new favorite. Until you listen to the next one. "Chooglin'" is a made up word of Fogerty's, basically to mean something like partying, or cruising. He first used it in the opening track of the same album that "Keep on Chooglin'" is on, that is, "Born on the Bayou", which is the epitome of the swamp rock sound. Absolutely give that one a listen, but be sure to listen to the full 5-minute version. There are some shortened ones out there.
John Fogerty has been a solo for years. Since he was lead guitar, harmonica, and singer what ever he does sounds like CCR. He is CCR. He is still rocking on.
The first time I ever heard the word " chooglin " was a line in their " Rollin on the River " song ( I think ) which says " I wish I was on a fast train a chooglin on down to New Orleans " so I am pretty sure that it's an onomatopeia of the sound a train makes . Follow the beat in this song , it's the beat of an old locomotive going down the tracks and a lot of Fogerty's harmonica on this mimics the sound of a train whistle
totally awesome !!! can't believe that you guys are reaction to this great tune. I have asked so many reactors to do this banger and you guys are the first ones to do it ... FABULOUS !!!!! thanks so much. BTW: they always played this one to close their shows.
One of my FAV, CCR songs !! The whole "Bayou Country" album was solid, every song... I saw them twice from 69-71 !! Try listening to "Chooglin" LIVE from Woodstock, 1969. Awesome !! Love you guys.
For my money, one of the top 3 American bands of all time. In a sense like The Beatles in that they put out so much great music in only about 6 years of recording, if that much. Check out Born on the Bayou, Proud Mary, Fortunate Sone, Bad Moon Rising, Who’ll Stop the Rain, Cotton Fields, Run Through the Jungle and Penthouse Pauper. And there are so, so many more. John Fogarty, the frontman and lead guitarist and principal writer, after a decade of silence post band breakup came back to launch a titanic solo career that continues to this day. He is considered among rock royalty.
When I was 15 in 1969, CCR was my all time favorite band, so much so that my record player needle wore right through to the other side of the record. I think I noticed a tear in your eye when you read the outcome of the band at the end, that's exactly how I felt when they broke up.
Love CCR, yes it’s a shame they never got back together but it just was a bad marriage. Thank you so much for always playing favorite music. You guys rock. Peace and Love.✌🏻❤🌹
I’ve seen them a few times and to me it’s the whole experience from listening and moving to music you love to hear and on top of that probably getting high from some drug back then..I do also believe getting high combined with great music like you said makes you feel childlike again and freely enjoying like a child ,an escape from inevitable adulthood similar to what you said..a child’s energy goes beyond
Nxt song, Long as I can see the light. Most si gs by CCR are what's known as radio friendly , because they fit in time restraints from back before FM radio became a thing. Theb you have keep on Chooglin to proud Mary and you see the true nature of the band , enjoy.
Saw John Fogerty in concert in 2006, my ears are still ringing from Keep on Chooglin on that night😜 played with heaps of guitar harmonics, feedback and just pure guitar riffs, was brilliant.
One day back in the summer of ‘69…..I got a bit too stoned, and I rocked out on my kazoo along with this entire song. I couldn’t talk the next day. 😏🙄✌️😁
I'm happy you felt the connection with the crowd. The song is not the most complex it's just groovy and fun. No matter your mood by the end of this song you'll be tapping your feet and bobbing your head and have a little more energy to help you get thru your day. Chooglin- Not only is John a great song writer, He's added a new word the the English language.😂
The band was comprised mostly of Vietnam veterans for your information. Yes, they were just having so much fun. The word you might have been searching for... building to a crescendo.
Freaking great performance, and reaction..please keep in mind , CCR, " I heard it thru the Grapevine" the un cut version from album Cosmos Factory, please do not do 3 minute radio edit. ❤
@@MerchantOfAlba It was great to watch you. You're reactions are genuine. It's fun to watch people react to music I grew up with. Every note and word in most all of these songs is etched deep in my brain, so it's impossible to me to hear one like it was the first time for me. But it's cool to see you guys hear it for the first time. Thanks for your channel.
YYEEESSSSS..!!! AN ALL TIME FAVOURITE, N I CAN RELATE TO BEING IN A ROCKIN CROWD LIKE THAT. IT WAS EITHER 1969 OR 1970, THAT I HEARD THEM ACROSS A RIVER, A MILE WIDE. THE SOUNDS COMING ACROSS THAT WATER ON A STILL SUMMERS EVENING WAS INCREDIBLE. GREAT REACTIONS…. LOVE THOSE SMILES 👏 LOOKING FORWARD TO UR REACTIONS TO THIER SONG, SUZY Q. ROCK ON 👊🖖
Another gem from your reactions. Just a request...a reaction to Blowing in the Wind, a meaningful song from Bob Dylan, but sung by Peter Paul and Mary. Kind regards, HUGO an uruguayan un USA
And did you see how they were all “in the moment” and transported? How joyous the crowd was? You can’t be transported if you’re watching through a phone. Young people are missing that Feeling from concerts I think… and how can a band grab energy from the crowd if they look out from the stage and see a sea of screens? I honestly would like to know. How does that feel?
John Fogerty, as a solo artist, actually got sued for sounding like CCR, he was a driving force singer & songwriter of most of their songs, of course he sounded like CCR. John & his brother Tom never reconciled, Tom died in Sept of 1990. John has continues a successful solo career. The last album I believe it was called "Madi Gras" where they split up the compositions between the members is the least strong of their output, John wanted to prove that it was his compositions & vocals that propelled them, I think he was right.
Love your reactions. This were from a few town over from Oakland in El Cerrito (if I'm not mistaken)...they have a "sound" and they stay in their lane...it's honest straight ahead music. The music IS the gimmick. John is still playing live catch him while you can if you can...even at his advanced age he still puts on a helluva show. There was bad blood due record company nonsense...I won't go into it it's all out there on the web....very unfortunate.
Four guys just playing, no gimmicks, no lightshow, no dancers and still they get the crowd to dance & be happy. And no cell phones makes it even better....
No auto tune. Just talent👍 we had some of the best music bk then😡
Did you notice how everyone was enjoying themselves and into the music. No cell phones! Oh, how this old man misses those days. Concerts were so fun back then. It was music and just about the music. Peace my friends!
They were all as high as a kite! Oh, the music too. 🙂
You must react to the LONG version of "I Heard It Through The Grape Vine" 11 minutes and 3 seconds long by CCR.
Swamp Rock…they created their own Genre! 😉🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
So many great songs: Sweet Hitchhiker, Down On The Corner, Fortunate Son, Midnite Special, Who Will Stop The Rain, Have You Ever Seen The Rain, Travelin' Band & Born On The Bayou
Ok... I am 70 years old, CCR is my very favorite band of all time.
That says alot.😊
67and ditto-still lov them..
Never gonna be an ass kicking voice like John's! One of a kind!!
All those young folks...in their early to mid-seventies now. Time is undefeated.
77…….and yup.
Must be a real kick for people in the crowd to show their grandkids!
Over 50 yrs ago and still sounds great-jam band max. John -muli talented. Still at it in his 70s👍
John Fogerty was an underrated guitarist. Nothing flashy, but solid. Great review. ☮💚🎶
Keep On Chooglin' is my favorite CCR tune. I was a young teenager when this was released. All my friends would get together on Saturday night and play music. Chooglin' is the best to dance to. So much fun.

Losing one’s ego…being a part of a crowd….you transcend your sense of self. Great feeling.
Back when music was FUN!!!!
CCR
The last song you hear is always your favorite. 🙂🙃🙂
That girl with the Kodac Instamatic, she has some of the best pictures......I wundered when she got home when they were developed.

Agreed. It's crazy how many classics they created in such a short period of time. For my money, they define the term "classic rock."
John Fogerty has been a solo for years. Since he was lead guitar, harmonica, and singer what ever he does sounds like CCR. He is CCR. He is still rocking on.
Love "Bad Moon Rising"
It's an efun shame that Doug and stu couldn't work things out with John! May Tom rest in peace!.
68 years old and this song (and all CCR songs) always get me up on my feet dancing. Love this band!

And this is live no auto tune no gimmicks just talent
Gosh, those were the days! Great music, no gimmicks, wonderful vibe. People just enjoying the moment! Thanks so much!
Great drummer, Doug Clifford.
One of my top CCR numbers
CCR ROCKS. AWESOME SONG
they call them ( CCR ) Great band and legendary are they
totally awesome !!! can't believe that you guys are reaction to this great tune. I have asked so many reactors to do this banger and you guys are the first ones to do it ... FABULOUS !!!!! thanks so much. BTW: they always played this one to close their shows.
I love rock and roll ! This was great. Fun reaction thanks
When you can get the whole audience standing up and dancing your doing it right 😊

Great choice, amazing live
Love CCR and love seeing people react to them. Thank you.
These were the good old days when the audience could get to the edge of the stage. No security gap between audience and band which kills the intimacy.
You dont need to be getting intimate with them anyway. Leave them alone.
If you can choose it, you can refuse it!!! Keep on chooglin!

What a great country!!!
México Love's CCR forever ❤
You can't go wrong with CCR thank you ❤

And this is why they were voted the best group in the world in early 70s
Thanks a lot so many memories ! I have 6 yrs. When hear them On The Radio ! 🫵👏👏👏👏🤔🤔🤔👏👏👏💯
One day back in the summer of ‘69…..I got a bit too stoned, and I rocked out on my kazoo along with this entire song. I couldn’t talk the next day. 😏🙄✌️😁
That’s Rock n Roll 🤘🤘
Love it!❤❤
As Dick Clark used to say, easy to dance to and you just have to move when you hear the song
Grew up on CCR👍👏 no bad songs and lots to hear.

React to Favorite Son, Proud Mary as well as I Heard it Through the Grapevine
It’s a Jam song ,they just play ☮️
Keep on Chooglin = having fun..... John Fogerty invented it in this way
CCR was roots rock.
Hello friends; May I suggest you check out the group "Orleans" doing their song, "Dance With Me"? I think you'll be happy you did.
Hello! Fron Dominican Repúblic! Please react to: Have you ever see the Rain! From Credence clearwther!!!!!!
"Keep On Choogling" I thought meant .... riding the rail.
Notice what you dont see. People with cell phones filming the show instead of being in the moment ....
Most bands ended their time together because of arguments that they couldn't resolve. Music is a hard business.
