A few peeps here saying this is no problem. Let's put it this way. If there was an accident, insurance would inspect it and deny the claim. Put that in your pipe and smoke it
It sometimes takes a "boaters eye" to spot what is going on. This looks to be a transport, not daily trailering of this boat on this trailer. If you look under the boat on the trailer bunks you will see wood blocks raising the boat up a little. Looks like wood positioned on the trailer to fit this hull. Then to not have to adjust the winch stand (or scuff the bow with the roller) they just used a heavy duty ratchet strap to secure it to the winch stand. They also have straps on the stern. Even though the trailer says Cobalt it could be a trailer from another model. This is fine for a point A to point B transport. But another strap from the bow eye straight down to the center beam of the trailer would have been a good extra measure.
What would I warn the driver of? This person obviously strapped the boat that way on purpose and therefore knows about it. I guess I could have yelled “you’re an idiot for purposely securing the boat as such”….
@@wdlfbio well you probably should've 🤣cause when he slams on the breaks in an emergency it can fly off and kill someone Edit under further inspection with the straps on the back thats boat aint going anywhere its secure.
There is nothing wrong he has transom straps and the bow strap is holding the bow down.the bow strap is a 10k strap and the winch cable is only a 5k pull cable.plus it's a bunk trailer you could leave it on not strapped down and the boat wouldn't move.alot of big boat guys do the same set up
@@Bubbles99718 not the way he has it set up there is a strap pulling forward and strap holding it backwards unless the straps break its not gonna budge.ive been hauling and servicing boats for 35 plus years and hauled many boats up and down the east coast never had one move on me
Dude doesn’t want to mar the bow with the bow roller. Lol
The way the bar is angled and the way the boat would pull if it went backwards would be fine . It won’t go up
Good example of everything's fine until it's not.
Things can happen quickly
Its all good the straps on the back keeping it from sliding forward that boat aint going nowhere
Absolutely 0.00 to 0.01 shows tight restraints better than most on road today..
Looks like a bunker trailer. Boat is not going anywhere.

I guess they could afford over 150,000 for a new one....

The boat was actually strapped to the trailer and is probably in transportation temporarily on that trailer.
The boat is so heavy you could not even pull it out with a truck . .I guess 5000 lb boat .
I do that but I secure it a little better lol . I always throws and extra strap around it
Is that a Ram 1500 towing the boat? I think that’s a Ram 1500
I don't see the problem. He has it strapped down at the stern, too. That's boats not going anywhere.
Wasn’t there a chain hooked to the bow eye?
It happens when you pull the boat out of the water. Once the bunks dry a little the boat isn’t going no where
Strap must've broke. Happened to me once and did pretty much the same thing.
Stop fast, it’ll be just fine. 🤪
To bad that adjustable winch tower won’t self adjust. 😳
if the winch is broken then not a fail. I didn't see a strap or hook on the winch.
$100k truck $100K boat, Sure. $10 winch. no thanks.
$100,000 truck? Uhh….no sir. You could buy almost 3 of those for that. Boat ain’t $100k either. Geezus wtf 🤦♂️
@@nwbklr Have you priced out a new 4x4 lately?
@@nwbklr that boat, Cobalt, depending on power and other options can be 300k
That’s brave good of them.
It’s ok they are rich enough for a 150k cobalt lmao
Well if it where me I would have strapped it to some kind of angel tourds the front of the trailer
it's only a problem if it falls off.
This boat is too heavy to just slide off

That's a first for me.

Big fail there bud
This is what's wrong with society. Let's film it, but don't warn the guy. We'll film the ensuing accident and all the gore too...

Hi can somey tell me what’s he done wrong? I’m not much of an expert
The boat should be secured against the bow stop. Apparently, they couldn’t get it all the way forward, so just added a strap to help hold it.
