It’s a stout little guy. Pushing your boat well. Good work

Those motors just seem to like running on the Bay! You ure got that motor running like new. Hard to believe its a 1949 and runnng that strong.

Did ChrisCraft make those themselves or someone else...?

Yes! They made them but Mercury outboard was threatening to sue them so they sold to Oliver Farm Machinery of Michigan. Oliver continued using the same powerhead. I have a few Olivers on here too! Thanks for watching 👀!

Then Oliver attempted to start a deal with Perkins of England 🇬🇧 to make them for Oliver overseas and somehow that was supposed to be a cost cutting measure? In the end, Perkins took over completely. I have a Perkins 6.5hp that looks exactly like my Oliver made Wizard Powermatic 5.5hp but the Perkins is rated at 6.5hp. Same exact powerhead as the Wizard. I can't put pictures here as I don't think you can or if you can I don't know how. If you want to look me up on Facebook and add me I can show you a better explanation and pictures of the Perkins and the Oliver's and the Wizards it's kind of a jumbled story here. You can find me on Facebook as Doug Parker and I also have American Legion vintage Outboards on Facebook page

Yer videos are great but I think you've got a lifetime of experience worth putting in book form. Keep up the good work!
