bread flour 250g / 1,3/4cup
caster sugar 50g / 1/4cup
salt 1/2tsp
instant yeast 1tsp
potato puree 50g / 1/4cup
whole egg 1(50g+-)
fresh milk 80ml
unsalted butter 30g / 1/8cup
egg yolk 1
caster sugar 1,1/2Tbsp
fresh milk 70ml
all-purpose flour 1Tbsp
vanilla extract 1/2tsp
Bake at 180°C / 356°F for 17-20 minutes

Tried this recipe cause my dad liked potato bread from this one restaurant and I wanted to make some for him. This recipe was DELICIOUSSSS!!! My dad could not get enough and I had to make another batch! He said it tasted better than the ones from the restaurant :') Thank you for sharing this!
I made this yesterday but I used AP flour and oil because Out of butter but still it came out soft fluffy. My husband and daughter loves it. Thank you 🤗

I've just baked a batch of this recipe. I didn't have potato so replaced it with pumpkin. The replacement turns out unexpectedly successful. Thanks for great recipe anyway.

Seriously? He just added like a tiny bit of potato to give a different name to the bread. It won't be any different from regular bread. You could add that amount of poison and it wouldn't matter 🤣
@@ns6926 Yes, I noticed the rolls had very little potato in them, only quarter of a cup in the whole batch.

Pumpkin puree is awesome like that! You can also use it instead of the eggs and oil in cake batter and it works perfect.
i tried it today and it came out amazing i ate it with cream and honey with warm milk and was amazing so soft fluffy
I just made this yesterday. My first time to make . My boss really like it. They say its very nice. Better than outside. I changed to sweet potato instead of potato and still the come out was so amazing. I just used Plain flour coz i don't have bread flour 😁

Great video!!! In the last step: preparing la cream de pattisiere... I suggest to add the vanilla extract once the cream is already cold. This is because all the aromatic compounds steam in the air at high temperature...
I made this exact recipe and it works!! Love itttt! I used sweet potato and added butterscotch chips, and dobled the recipe. Makes 12 huge fluffy buns! I wish i could upload pictures here 😂 thanks for the recipe!

@@hildaarias2431 En el video le echan fría, pero yo para activar la levadura que tenemos en el país tibio la leche, le diluyo en la leche tibia el azúcar y a esa mezcla le agrego la levadura, así la activo. Dejo la mezcla tapada unos quince minutos y esa mezcla uso. Usan levadura instantánea a mí me toca activarla.

I just wanted to try making the bread using mashed oats..
Just made this yesterday and it was wonderful. You could really not taste any potato since it's just a teeny tiny amount, but nonetheless, this is sooooo freaking soft and fluffy. The touch of custard on top makes it much better. I actually ate my share of the buns 21 hours later (kept in an air-tight container at room temp) because of intermittent fasting schedule (lol), it's a tiiiiiny bit more firm than it was yesterday but it still has that fluff and it's really pretty good. Will be making another batch tomorrow but I'm planning to put the remaining custard (tastes really great btw, compared to other custards I've made before) from yesterday inside the buns as well. Overall, Apron's recipes are really keepers.

Just remember that in the videos you see they use bread flour that has higher percentage of gluten that’s why in all the baking videos their stuff looks so soft and fluffy so please don’t feel bad when your stuff doesn’t look as good and continue experimenting! Baking is so much fun ❤️
