  • I recently bought a new CBE tactic Hybrid. It is my first slider. The Tactic Hybrid is definitely a budget minded slider when compared with some other slider sights. However it has great build quality and performance.
    I will walk you through the steps that I took to sight in from 20 yards all the way to 100 yards. The instructions that are included seemed a bit confusing to me, but ultimately I found my own Jeremy Riggin' way of doing it. I hope it helps, and please let me know if you have any questions.
    Timeline
    0:00 intro
    1:20 What is the goal
    3:23 starting at 20 yards to 60 yards
    6:15 picking sight tape
    7:43 checking sight tape at 50 yards
    8:20 checking sight tape at 100 yards
    9:48 Cost and Overview

    More camera angles than Carter has pills!!! Great looking work, buddy! Good on the sight tapes as well. I also need to make a video about that at some point. :/

      Thanks, I appreciate it. I thought I would put the phone, go pro and drone to work. I imagine your list of content to make can be pretty long.

      Well imagine that. I do a search for a review of this sight and Jeremy is the first search result and the first comment is from Nate.

    Nice video. I’ve watched about 5 hours of slider videos and just could not seem to grasp the floater and sight tapes and it clicked in the instant you explained floater pin is 40 so at the home position you put your 40 yard mark. Duh! Excellent job explaining the entire sight in, choosing the right tape and floater pin set up.

    The sight is clear on the side so it can pick up natural light during the day. If you cover that with black the fiber optic will be useless without a light... good video I want to pick up this one i have a CBE tactic micro and want the slide style

    Nice site and review. That is similar to my Spot Hogg Fast Eddie that I just put on my BowTech Zion. The Spot Hogg comes with calibration tape already to help you figure out which site tape you need just by looking at the calibration tape. Again thanks for the review. Juddie - J & J TOA

      I was looking at the Spott Hoog but just couldnt justify spend that much money after i bought anew bow this year. I had to go the "budget" route with the sight this year. It was my first slider and i love it.

      I'm glad it helped. I struggled to understand their directions and even struggled to find a video that explained it well. I actually just posted a new video on the same setup. Thanks for watching!

    I own a shop and carry these, I finally mounted one to my Mathews to test. Great video, only question i have is why in the hell does that bow sound so loud. I carry Elites and never noticed that on mine.

      I think that my string stop was not adjusted correctly and was hitting hard. It recently flew off while i was shooting.

    Well explained but I’m not a movable sight guy. Crazy though I just ordered a topoint yesterday. I wanted a budget sight that had length out in front of the riser. Hunt Happy Hunt Safe

      That's another reason that i like this sight. It's a 3 pin, so i can have the 20, 30, and 40 set for hunting. Then have the slider for up to 100 for 3d. Which i plan to do a few times this year.

    Do I have to sight my 20 30 and 40 pin before I move back to 60 to find my sight tape?

    • @j.r.outdoors247
      @j.r.outdoors247  2 роки тому

      The short answer is no. But I did have mine sighted in prior to figuring out my sight tape.

    Hey do I use my top pin for 20 and 60 ?

    • @j.r.outdoors247
      @j.r.outdoors247  Рік тому

      You can use your top pin as your floater, but i always use my bottom pin as the floater. I did another video that might help explain it better.

    So if you are bottomed out with the housing and pin 1 is 20yrd and the site tape starts at 40yrd for pin 2. How do you get to 30yrd?
    You can only drop the housing to move to 50 yard with the 2nd pin.
    Oh wait.... shit... so if you drop down to 50 yards for the floater then pin 1 is now 30 yards?
    Think I just figured it out as I was typing this comment LOL.
    So if I moved to the 80 yard on the sight tape for pin 2,, then pin 1 would be 60 yard?
    Is this the only way to set it up?
    What if I did pin1 (20yrd) pin 2 (30yrd) and pin 3 (40yrd)
    And then lined the 20yrd on the site tape to pin one. If I move to the 40yrd mark on the site tape with pin one.
    Would pin 2 be 50yrd and pin 3 be 60yrd?

      That is a great question. I have never tried that. I when i sighted it in. I used pin 1- 20yrds, pin 2- 30 yrds, and pin 3- 40 yrds. Then used the 3rd pin for the floater and adjusted the sight tape to whatever yardage i was shooting. I never tried using the 1st or 2nd pin when i adjusted the floater. I'll have to try that. I will be resighting everything in a few weeks because i got new arrows. I'm planning to record it again. I'll have to try that.
