Nice video. You explain the sight tape selection process so well! I have that same sight & love it! I had rotator cuff surgery a year ago & am only able to draw 52 lbs on my PSE React. I'm using Easton HEXX 400 arrows w/lite-weight inserts & 100 grain points. The bow is shooting 275 fps & I can get out to 91 yards before fletching contact with the sight.
You can shoot with the odd fletching down
Very helpful. I also wear glasses and am opposite eye dominant and need to close my left eye when using a sight. Watching you shoot makes me feel not so weird 👍😎🎯
So glad you just posted this video. I just bought my first ever single pin sight. I got the cbe tactic hybrid and plan on setting it up this weekend. I’ve been a little anxious and overwhelmed thinking about it but after watching this video I feel much better about it!

These are some nice sights ! As an HVAC guy I’d lose that cover on your AC condenser , you’re recirculating the heat down through your coils !

I'm shooting a Solution SS 60 lb 26 in draw around 400 grains. The gentleman said my 350 spine black eagle rampages should be shooting arpund 260 fps. This gives me hope that this sight which I'm wanting to buy next month has tapes that will shoot the suggested speed. I'm okay with the trade off meaning i can shoot out to whatever it allows before fletching contact. I highly doubt in my lifetime I will shoot any animal over 50 to 60 yards if even given that opportunity. Cheers Nate.

Thanks for the great advice nate. I shoot a custom sight. Its a spot Hogg fast Eddie xl wt A shrewd optum 35mm scope and the shrewd rod for adjustments and a shrewd 4 power lens. It works great in my bridge lock in my V3X 29.

Dude Redline just sent me a sight to review and I didn’t know there was sight tape in it! I threw it away🤷
I'll have to mess around with the solid stop. I'm not sure if that will work on my Tommy Hogg.
I used to do the 20/60 sight in for my tapes and found that further distances were always off, so now I do 30 and 80 (90 on a good shooting day) and that gets me a much more precise tape for longer distance practice.
Also, that bow is pretty much my dream color scheme! Green riser and Verde limbs! I wouldn't complain if an Elevate showed up at my door in that color combo...

Higher twist rate dont slow down any faster than offset or low helical we tested 3,6 and 9 degree helical out to 100yrds and was only 1-2fps difference i test everything before taking any advice on my setups and id suggest everyone should.glad to see you making vids again

What happened to your easy v sight?
Man why does it need to be soo complicated. Just get a caliper take a precise measurement from the same sight between your 2 most accurate marks let's say 20 and 50 and take your caliper and find the tape that is matching the measurement perfectly and this is it .

Agreed! I shifted to the EZ-V sight the past few years, & it's the ultimate hunting sight in my opinion. It requires some practice, but that part has been FUN! I don't touch a range finder all summer. I shoot all over the yard at very distances and train myself to rely on the sight picture If someone gave me the most expensive movable pin sight on the market, I would toss the thing in the trash. Well, I may keep it as a backup single fixed pin sight, but that's about it! The last thing I want to do when the buck of a lifetime is approaching is mess with my darn sight & guess where I should set it! Seriously, I want to be focused on pulling back undetected & putting one through the boiler room. I can't fathom using a movable pin in a treestand hunting situation, but apparently many do. The market is flooded with expensive sights, & I wouldn't spend a penny on any of them! Seriously, I see them as expensive, over complicated junk!
PSA on Redline sight. YOU HAVE TO GET A LONGER PINCH BOLT THAT SECURES VERTICAL MACRO ADJUSTMENT OR YOU WILL HATE LIFE!

Good to hear, I live in California so I cant visit yet but appreciate the knowledge you share.
I don't understand the concept of a movable pin for a real life hunting situation. A live target is NOT a 3-d shoot. When it's crunch time, I am focused on pulling back undetected. The last thing in the world I want to do is mess with my sight. I surely don't want to guess where I should have it set! Seriously, I don't get it, & I have been bow hunting for over 35 years? I would never place a sight like that on my bow. Once I am pulled back, the best shot may happen at 20 yards or 35 yards. It's a live animal & not a stationary target. So what do you guys do? Guess what yardage the shot will be, set your sight accordingly, & pull back? I shoot the best when I don't throw the instinctive part of archery out the door. I don't even care for multiple pin sights. I can see using these types of sights for a 3-d shoot, but I practice with what I hunt with year round. That's where the instinctive part of archery comes into play. I don't throw all that out the window because I am using a compound bow with a sight instead of a recurve or longbow without one. I'm an old geezer, & I think I could jump an arrow at 100 yards. 😀
I use a single pin slider. For me, multi pin sights are just too busy. While I wait, I play a game with myself and try to guess distances from my stand to landmarks such as trees and logs. Then I will range them and make a mental note. I’ll set my pin for the average distance I may take a shot. If something changes, I’ll use my mental “range card” adjust accordingly.
@@limjahey3119 That's way too much for me to process when it's crunch time. I like a single fixed vertical pin, because I feel it's better for lining up against a deer's body. I sight it in for 25 yards & practice enough to instinctively know where to put the pin on anything a bit longer than that. If it's a close shot, aiming for the heart will work. I need to rely on commonsense & let my instincts take over. A bit far out means aim a bit high. Anything beyond that, the deer wins that day. I can sense when a shot doesn't feel right for me.
