Of course. These are stereotypes and pretty broad ones at that. I personally know many 1st generation Indian-American children of immigrants who date across race. Some of those kids (people in their late teens and 20s) actually become HYPER Westernized and only date outside their race and adopt a lot of the culture and mannerisms of the broader culture (listen mostly to hip hop and mainstream American pop music, only eat Western food, dress very trendily, etc.).
Because you never meet a real indian girl , if I date anybody my parents will shoot me .

1) it's a comical exaggeration 2) it's more meant to reflect how it feels, than necessarily how they behave. If you meet parents from a very different culture it can be very intimidating
Not generalizing but in most cases, either they will be rude or strict upfront, or they will secretly warn their daughter about him without him knowing it. Suspicions are common, especially if they are the daughter's parents. My past relationships have all broken up not because of the women, but because of their parents (caste issues, social stigma, they disliked independent careers since they pay lesser than standard jobs, etc). I am an Indian too. but yeah times are slowly changing for the good...

Also, to us god is one entity and different religions in our eyes are simply different interpretations of the same higher power. I go to the gurudwara with her to pray to the same god she comes with me to pray to in the catholic church. Also, our wedding was a non-religious one and we kept it small as we both preferred putting our money into a home.

Our family is big, just bringing all siblings with their families together is 100+ people, adding, uncles and aunties
and there love ones, you easy end up with 1000+ people for a wedding and/or funeral.
We celebrate nearly every birthday from each other and of course weddings which take place all over the globe.
Besides, I love spicy food, hence no problem and I love classical Indian music.

I can relate to some things in this video like how my hubs can't keep up with the names of my relatives and how I love my Indian food and he begs for mashed potatoes ! Indian parents do love guys with a steady career and a good education. But they are usually quite respectful of their son-in-law and treats him like a king !

that's true for all Indian irrespective of a boy or a girl. I'm an Indian, currently in relationship with an Indian guy. Whenever his parent's call, he is like super saint, and everything. As a Indian girl, even I am not that pretentious than he is while dealing with his family. But you will find thus attitude with most the Indians because there is an immense generation gap between people born before 90s and after. Like the gap you have with your grandparent's, we have that kind of difference in thinking with our parents. Our grandparents are of different league altogether. So we have to survive in the current mess, we have to keep a saint mask or our parent's will beat the shit out of us or never gonna talk to us. So, we tell them about private lives (like being in a relationship or drinking habits etc etc ) only when it is absolute necessity otherwise we just pretend to be traditional in front them and secretly enjoy our lives!

As an Indian woman married to an Italian man ..this is so true but I’m definitely not into the whole pleasing and trying hard type. My husband worked super hard to get me and I was incredibly rude to him in the beginning. My husband said he definitely related to the me loving my Indian music part. And the spicy food part . My parents are a little non traditional in a sense my father is Russian and my mother is Indian so it wasn’t terrible for my husband. I prepared my husband to meet my mom so it wasn’t terrible.

I nearly married an indian lady. what put me off was she tried too hard to please me. As a western man it sort of freaked me out. I felt like she wasn't just relaxing and being herself. In my opinion Indian women are among the most attractive women on earth. Not only are they stunningly beautiful on the outside (many of them have breathtaking eyes) but from what I saw with next to all of my Indian colleagues at work (living and working in Europe but in a big international firm, so there are a lot of Indians in my team whom I also sometimes had to visit in India for business trips) they are also very family oriented, loyal and caring on top of being very smart and well educated. Never had an Indian girlfriend but if I ever happened to be single again, I would definitely consider dating Indian women.
