And I’ll get to my manicure appointment no matter what! And pedicure even in winter 😅 crazy how far social pressure and tradition go! But a woman is a woman, someone caring and keeping up her family. But then I’ve got a caring husband, too. If a man is lazy? He’s not a man for me, no matter how “hot” looking he is! The hottest man for me? Is a family man for whom his wife and kids are a priority!!!

Accurate! Only men always had chores, it's not a modern change. In Ukraine we don't have a "husband is prince and wife is housekeeper" mindset. I'm Ukrainian and I know that I have relatives somwhere in Parana, Brazil. In the first half of XX century millions of Ukrainians migrated to Brazil. So, most likely you have Ukrainian roots (besides, your name - Valentina, is common and very widespread in Ukraine)
@@olehtomilov2909 Yes, the state of Paraná received many Ukrainian immigrants and the architecture of the churches there is highly influenced by traditional Ukrainian architecture, I've never visited but I've seen pictures, I was born in a northern and distant state and my ancestry is mostly Portuguese, but seeing this one video, the girl's personality and expectations match my personality more than the Brazilian girl's video on this channel. I always thought Valentina was a Latin name, I didn't know it was also used in Slavic countries, interesting.
I met a girl from Ukraine in college (I live in the U.S.). She went by the English translation of her first name, which is Janet. I miss her. Hope she and her family are doing well. :(

Hey everyone! Hope you enjoyed the newest YKYD. I have held on to making a Ukrainian version for a while just because politics aside, it is quite similar to the Russian mindset. I'm born in Moscow, with a Ukrainian dad, so I have experienced both worlds and a few minor differences aside - we are so SO similar. Also, I know a lot of you liked Olha's wardrobe, which is not surprising cause she is a fashion influencer - you can check her out on Instagram for more styles! Let's just say, this girl came to set super prepared. 🤗 Up next - we have YKYD a Chilean man and maybe we will tackle Belgium after, so stay tuned!
Honestly I’ve known people from Russia, Ukraine and Poland (amongst others). Politics aside, they seem to get along real well stateside. Heck my Polish boss dates a Ukrainian man and 40 years ago that would’ve been unheard of
Then again, I have a friend whose Mom is from Poland. Daughter had a Ukrainian friend and her mom goes “just be careful around her” so while the political situation is changing in the US, it’s not perfect. But we want to give peace a chance
I wondered if Marina is Ashkenazi Jewish because she doesn’t look Slavic at all. I would never have guess that she’s Russian/Ukrainian until she said she’s Russian many many many videos years ago. She shares same features as Mila Kunis.
Yes, to some extent our men spoil us. I learned to pay for myself in the US. Then, upon return, when I was trying to do that, my dates were offended) I guess it is something that can be negotiated
I’m Ukrainian by blood, grew up in Latvia in Russian culture and family. Russian, Ukrainian, Latvian, and I know other countries like Belarus, Lithuania, Moldova, are all very very similar. In some cases are even identical. Depends where you grew up but Slavic women are Slavic women, come on. 😆😆 If you keep your tradition that is. Cause some Slavic girls moved to different countries they don’t even know their culture. I thankfully do, even though I moved to UK when I was 9. Still consider myself Russian. Depends where you’re roots are really, and where you spent your childhood. Mine I spent mostly in Latvia, and summers with grandparents in Ukraine. Love my Slavic culture. ❤️
I have a genuine question. Are Ukrainians from eastern Ukraine different from Western Ukrainians? Individually I have met 2 Eastern Ukrainians and 2 Western Ukrainians. Western ones were more hard to socialize/ice break (as shown in this video). They were very reserved, serious. But unlike them, the Eastern Ukrainians I have met were much easy going, much easily socializing. I am wondering whether it was just a coincidence or there is a general difference between Eastern and Western Ukrainians?
I wouldn't say it is a strict dichotomy between the West and the East, it is rather a gradient, and not a simple one. :) There's also Central Ukraine, and there's Southern Ukraine (especially Bessarabian part of it), each region has its specifics and culture. The western part of Ukraine is not homogeneous either: compare Volyň, Zakarpatja, Lviv and Bukovina - I wouldnt even try to fit this into one sentence. And like they say in the video, we always tend to generalize, but individual experiences might vary. There's a quite entertaining channel on UA-cam, Ukraïner - they run different expeditions and interview various people around. Before them I never realized how much diversity is there.
I am asking in terms of their "seriousness" in the first contact. I remember that one of the Western Ukrainians was from the part of Ukraine that was neighboring Romania (and I think the Ukrainians living there actually belong to an ethnic minority, different from the majority of Ukrainians). She was a very serious, reserved, cold girl. But the girl from the East was from Donetsk. But she migrated to Kiev after the war (so she was definitely pro-Ukrainian, than pro-Russian😄). She was very open, very friendly, easygoing. All of you here described me general differences between East and West (like religion and the language they speak). I am aware of that difference. I am wondering specifically about the difference in the character of "coldness/seriousness" and "warmness/quick-socializer". Does this trait has a regional pattern in Ukraine (like Easterners being warmer than Westerners)?
@@РэйЧехов lol that's just not true. There's no Russian or Polish influence, i think you read too much internet instead of going there. There's russian influence in russia and polish influence in poland and ukrainian influence in ukraine.

Wow! I can listen to that language whole day and not get tired. Ukrainian women are beautiful. they become more prettier the moment they start speaking thanx to your channel. Awesome
Having a family is something many women do want actually. I feel like as an American who grew up with a polish mother, it’s a similar view. Women want men who take the lead, but also mature and caring. I do like the gender roles as well as long as their is teamwork and respect. The Catholic faith is part of Ukraine, too. May GOD Bless Y’all and May Mary, The Mother of Jesus Christ Protect Y’all Always. ✝️🕊❤️
I grew up in a big catholic family as well? My mother is a Scottish immigrant to the USA and she was a police woman. And it’s true in some cases personally ? (And I know this may change I don’t for right now tho) want to have a family but I’m only in my 20’s I got plenty of time to worry about that. For now I just wanna do my music dream and career.
I guess it's has something to do with the generation, so young generation tend to be more different than the previous ones, so now for me it's really rare to see a woman who likes cooking, no matter the country lol
So cute and truly episode. I'm also Ukrainian. My German husband was surprised every time when i went to buy milk with a full make-up 👸 or cooked for dinner a lot of dishes. Intercultural relationships are always hard and interesting, life full of compromise and communication. But they are totally worth it. Remember, its 2021 now and women have the same rights as men. But sometimes we want the simple things; be a woman when man should be a man 👫
I agree with you. I want to be a rock musician right? But one day in the future ? I want a husband who will be there for me when I need him. Like the guy in the video. I also never am seen without makeup I guess it runs in my family. No woman is in my family. I’m not Ukrainian (I’m not disrespecting the culture it seems really awesome!) but I get what your saying.

so so so was waiting for this one. 200% true. 1 thing you guys missed, as to how much ukrainian women are supportive to her man, no matter what. like in the russian video. awsome built.
omg its so accurate. My gf is from Kiew. She is in Germany because of the war and she is really like this. I love her classical view on things and how feminine and carrying she is.
Some of it horrifies me as a Ukrainians woman. I don't like that chitchat on the sofa. Also I would always detest the idea of dressing out just to throw garbage or buy some bread. But Ukrainian women are indeed very strong, opinionated, educated, feminine and family-oriented.
This is the, bar none, most accurate depiction I have seen of what it's like to date a Ukrainian woman. It is very unnerving, for an American guy at least, to have a woman care for him like this. It is also hard to understand the perimeter/city/keep defenses that need to be taken down. It's not perfect for all Slavic women, of course, but I still feel like this is the first video I've seen that is "accurate enough" to send to my skeptical friends after studying, befriending, and dating Ukrainian women for the last 20 years! Kudos--very helpful video!
There is a lot we can learn from these women. You can be well-educated, have a job and still be a humble person who wants to contribute to society and have a partner and kids when you come home after work. P.S.: Brazilians are everywhere ahaha
As an eastern European myself I can assure you that it is possible to be a hot, high educated, succeful, Mother or/and wife that every single day cooks healthy meal and have a perfectly clean house-it is possible but quite exhausting:) I do not recommend it:)
Here is more to learn. Ukrainian women practice a woodoo tradition of adding some of their menstruation blood to red wine and offering it to a man. They think it makes the man to fall madly in love with the woman-owner of that blood.
Perfect! It is so spot on! I have really close friends in Ukraine and have taken trips to Kharkiv to spend time with them. I see why so many men can fall in love with Ukrainian women))).
You know you're dating a Ukrainian woman when she's fighting on the front lines next to you to protect her country from an illegal and immoral invasion from Putin. And somehow she's even more beautiful with a gun in her hands.
I am interested in a video on dating a Swedish woman and possibly on dating a Swedish man. I recently started taking Swedish language lessons. Swedish society seems much friendlier to women than Ukraine.
This video really helped me understand the ")" as smiley face. I never had a clue before, now when I go back to her emails I can see a lot of ) in many sentences. At first I thought she forgot the open parentheses. lol
I'm Brazilian and this helps me understand things I didn't understand about their cultural differences. they are very complex people but the few that make a friendship seem to me to be good people! :D
I married a Ukrainian, . .16 years and we have a 15 year old daughter, . . .still don't understand her mental processes. LOL! But my wife had a great sense of humor and that was obvious from the start. I have been to 28 different countries and Ukraine has some of the most beautiful women on earth. Just be careful to weed out the materialistic ones if that is possible.
There is a common aspect between Eastern Europe and the Middle East in terms of family aspect in which both sides values it to the most Lovely ukrainien lady May the war stop soon Greetings from Libya
Another great video Marina! I’ve always loved your Slavic/Eastern European Women videos the most. It’s nice that they generally are not PC and want men to be men and women be women; Embracing each other’s differences and not trying to blur the lines between femininity/masculinity for the sake of equality etc.

All this is why the UN will never take any action against Russia, and it has China standing firmly, to veto any condemning resolution tabled in the UN Security Council. Endgame is Russia, and it’s President Putin, will get everything they want from this war, and more, at their convenience, and time schedule. All the while the US, and NATO, will look like fools, again, criminal fools, who this time have miscalculated, and have shot themselves in the foot Now that’s SAD!!! You can use a computer, an internet browser, google like search engine and tally the statistics on sites like United Nations, Human Rights institutions…The results may be more acceptable to you…Just a few key words to direct your search…Vietnam, Korea, Afghanistan, Iraq, Yugoslavia, Syria, Yemen…and illegal regimes change activities in South America and Africa…I am sure the number add up…. Nobody like war (except the MIC, and those taking their brides), but if 15,000 of your neighbors or family were being killed by some bad group, what would you do? Sit by and complain or try and stop them. Example of MIC companies: Raytheon, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics, Honeywell, General Electric, Textron

I’m Brazilian but after this video I think I’m deep down an Ukrainian woman
😄😄 Who knows. Check your roots, your family tree 😃

Hi ❤❤
I don't hear an Eastern European accent from you. Did you mostly grow up North America?
@@velvetthundr she is, check out the video in which she did a DNA test

@@svitlanaklymenko6932 Did you date American men who didn't offer to pay for you?
Eastern Ukraine has more Russian influence, and Western is more Polish. So the character's, religion, attitude to Russia and Poland is different.
no there's no difference, it's just a matter of individual personality and 4 people can't really be representative i hope you understand :)
I love how they say Ďakujem (Thank you) the same way as we do here in Slovakia. I believe we're the only two nations in the world who say is the same way.

Hello
I grew up in a big catholic family as well? My mother is a Scottish immigrant to the USA and she was a police woman. And it’s true in some cases personally ? So cute and truly episode. I'm also Ukrainian. My German husband was surprised every time when i went to buy milk with a full make-up 👸 or cooked for dinner a lot of dishes.
Intercultural relationships are always hard and interesting, life full of compromise and communication. But they are totally worth it.
Remember, its 2021 now and women have the same rights as men. But sometimes we want the simple things; be a woman when man should be a man 👫
“We” don’t want that… speak for yourself
I agree with you. I want to be a rock musician right? But one day in the future ? I want a husband who will be there for me when I need him. Like the guy in the video. Because people in Russia though slightly in this way, the war started. Saying that we are similar is really offensive.

You gotta love Ukrainian women. Not only beautiful, but love their mentality!!
Did they ever offer you a glass of red wine? Ukrainian women practice a woodoo tradition of adding some of their menstruation blood to red wine and offering it to a man. They think it makes the man to fall madly in love with the woman-owner of that blood.

Haha I am Polish and I am 100% like her, especially when she roasted woman power :D
What a lovely video! Also, all of her clothing looks so nice!
