  • (Edited April 2022 - I no longer use the settings shown in this video. I now use 340 pressure, single cut, and no backing.) In this video, I discuss basic information about hotfix rhinestones for beginners. When I began using hotfix rhinestones, I was overwhelmed with information that I didn't understand. If you are new to hotfix rhinestones or thinking about using hotfix rhinestones, I hope this video is helpful:)
    Some products used (includes Amazon Affiliate links):
    SS10 Hotfix Rhinestones (I used the crystal ones, which is just a clear stone without color) www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07...
    Rhinestone Flock and Transfer Tape Starter Pack (there are 4 options - I bought the one with 10 pieces of each for about $39) (EDITED JANUARY 2022 - OVER TIME, I HAVE EXPERIENCED THAT ROCK IT FLOCK FROM HEAT TRANSFER WAREHOUSE IS EASIER TO CUT) www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09...
    Brush www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...
    Wax Pencils to Pick Up Rhinestones www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09...
    Rhinestone Picker Tool (my favorite instead of the wax pencil I used in the video) www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07...

    Go to the dollar store and buy a small bristle brush hair brush. I like the kind that is a roll looking brush to swipe the template over a trash can. You can also use a toothbrush.

    What about cutting the flock with the back on and not on a mat? That is how I do vinyl.

    How strong is the adhesion for stones? I randomly came across your video, and like a magpie or raven, I'm drawn to all things sparkly!

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  5 місяців тому +1

      The adhesion, if pressed correctly, is very good. I wash my rhinestone shirts inside out in the washing machine. Then I hang dry them. I do add them all to the dryer when they are dry or almost dry to fluff them up.

    nice one video for us. what size for cutting 6ss holes? and also i use other cutting machine and this machine have small display i found " speed and force" so how much speed and force i use for this flock ?

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  Рік тому

      The 6ss holes, according to Silhouette's software, should be .102 inches in diameter. I have only used a Cricut Maker, so I am not sure about speed and force. What machine are you using?

      Actually I am making this product and I haven't been able to know what that back white paper is.
      Here in India we can't use flock because of the costing.
