- (Edited April 2022 - I no longer use the settings shown in this video. I now use 340 pressure, single cut, and no backing.) In this video, I discuss basic information about hotfix rhinestones for beginners. When I began using hotfix rhinestones, I was overwhelmed with information that I didn't understand. If you are new to hotfix rhinestones or thinking about using hotfix rhinestones, I hope this video is helpful:)
Some products used (includes Amazon Affiliate links):

love the simple way you communicate your points yet detailed, especially the difference cutting with and without backing. I have not cut my first template, feeling lucky that I watched your video before cutting. thank you..

Thank you!
I'm just getting ready to attempt this method for applying my hit fix rhinestones. Thank you so much for your detailed tutorial. It has given me the confidence to begin!
Thanks so much for your comment! Rhinestones are so much fun to use. Since making this video, I have found that the flock and transfer tape from Heat Transfer Warehouse is so much easier to use.
Sheryl, did you happen to try this method yet? Would love to hear how it came out if you did.
So helpful I’m a beginner, just getting familiar with rhinestones projects
I hope you end up loving them as much as I do!!! They are so fun:)
Wow love the way you explained this. I don’t have a cricut though, however I have a laser machine
Thank you so much! I have cut a lot of rhinestone templates on my Glowforge laser, but only using Glitter Cardstock. The rhinestone template material is not laser safe. Thank you so much for watching!
Turned out great!
Thank you! Looking forward to doing more bling:)
Love it! Thank you 😊

TFS...great tutorial
Thank you Nicole. It was very basic, but hopefully helpful to someone:) I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving!
Yes, I did thank u. Hope u had a nice Thanksgiving as well😊
GOOD MORNING...GREAT VIDEO FRIEND
Thank you Stacey!!!
Great demo! I like to cut on mat.🤩
Thanks RUG'l! I have modified my cut settings over time and I no longer cut twice:)
Go to the dollar store and buy a small bristle brush hair brush. I like the kind that is a roll looking brush to swipe the template over a trash can. You can also use a toothbrush.
Such a great suggestion!!! I will try that. Thanks so much!
super halpful vidio
Hey Making with Marylin!
Hey Big Boi!!
try using a sticky lint roller it works x
I ended up discovering that through watching another person's live. Someone in the chat suggested it so I bought one of the super sticky rollers:) Thanks so much for watching and sharing the suggestion!
What about cutting the flock with the back on and not on a mat? That is how I do vinyl.
Which machine do you cut with? I would love to try that!
How strong is the adhesion for stones? I randomly came across your video, and like a magpie or raven, I'm drawn to all things sparkly!
The adhesion, if pressed correctly, is very good. I wash my rhinestone shirts inside out in the washing machine. Then I hang dry them. I do add them all to the dryer when they are dry or almost dry to fluff them up.
@@MakingwithMarilyn Oh my goodness, I just asked you on another video! Haha! Thank you so much for responding. Your videos have been a wealth of knowledge!
❤
Thanks Uni!
nice one video for us. what size for cutting 6ss holes? and also i use other cutting machine and this machine have small display i found " speed and force" so how much speed and force i use for this flock ?
The 6ss holes, according to Silhouette's software, should be .102 inches in diameter. I have only used a Cricut Maker, so I am not sure about speed and force. What machine are you using?
@@MakingwithMarilyn its Seiki SK870 model
@@MajidKhan-jr4vk I am not familiar with that cutting machine. You might be able to search UA-cam for a video on how to use it to cut rhinestone flock.
❤️🤗👍🏼
I mean back white paper
Can these be used on wood?
I never even thought of trying that, but it's a great question, so I will give it a try and do a short video on it:)
@@MakingwithMarilyn Thanks for making the video! I watched it the other day! Great work!
@@mshopey32 Thank you for the idea!!!
😊s
What is that back paper called?
The white paper on the back is just the protective cover for the sticky side of the flock. Thanks for watching!
But what's the name?
Of that paper
@@moinuddin4947 sorry about that. I am cutting rhinestone flock. I prefer the pink flock from Heat Transfer Warehouse over this Amazon rhinestone flock.
Actually I am making this product and I haven't been able to know what that back white paper is.
Here in India we can't use flock because of the costing.
