    I finally found a tutorial which explained step by step this process including the drying time. You have answered all my questions regarding the honeycomb method and erased my fears if trying this process. Thank you very much for taking the time to thoroughly explain the process including the tips at the end of video.

    I really enjoyed watching your tutorial. It is very informative. I have a magnifying lamp I use with other work I do that I would most likely use so it’s hands free working on the tumbler. This is a very tedious type of craft. I probably would use the flock template method myself since my time is limited. I also appreciated your ‘tip’ on the glue bottle metal extension piece removal. Thank you for sharing ❤

      I am posting a new video within a day or so if you want to see how it comes out. I used rainbow colored rhinestones on the new one and it is va va voooommmm! I used about 2200 SS10 stones on the new one, but the number will vary depending on if your tumbler is the same size and the size of stones. I didn't put a name on the new one so it went a LOT faster than my prior tumblers.

    Your cup turned out gorgeous. Where did you get your Velcro circle from? I need something to guide me so that my line is straight at the top and bottom.

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  2 роки тому +2

      I just cut a piece of velcro off some that I got from my husband's stash, but you can get velcro or velcro tape at places like Home Depot, etc. It is the double sided and does not have a sticky back, so it sticks to itself.

      Yes, after you clean it, it is good to go. I am going to do a short video of cleaning the tumbler and will probably upload it Tuesday morning if you are interested in watching it. Thank you for watching and good luck to you in your blinging. I practiced a little bit when I got started on a free promotional cup that I had received at my work. I didn't bling the whole thing, but practiced doing my honeycomb pattern and getting the feel of everything.

    At the very end of blinging your tumbler…do I epoxy it, to seal them all?

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  2 роки тому

      I do not epoxy mine. I let the glue dry for at least a day, but preferably more, and then I wash/scrub it. There should be a very short follow up video that shows the cleaning process. Thanks for watching!!!

    HAVE YOU EVER TRIED E6000 IN THOSE LITTLE BOTTLES AND IF SO HOW DID IT HOLD UP?

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  2 роки тому +1

      I have not tried E6000 with rhinestones. I have used it in jewelry before though. I think the bond would be really good. Not sure if it would flow nicely from the bottle or not - it might be too thick. I might do a search and see if I find anyone using it in the bottles. Thanks for watching Stacey and I will probably "see" you later tonight online! I had to miss Big Boi's show last night.

      @MakingwithMarilyn  Рік тому

      Thank you Miss Havisham! I don't have a separate tutorial on that, but if you have any specific questions, I would be happy to help. Do you currently use a cutting machine, such as a Cricut or Silhouette?

  • @albaniahernandez8521

    Thank you, what size did you sizes the name( length width)

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  10 місяців тому

      I use between 6.5 - 7 inches wide by up to 2 inches tall for the tallest letters. Then, of course, I turn it to add to the tumbler so that it goes from top to bottom.

    I know this be a stupid question how many rhinestones on an average does it take to complete the bling

    • @MakingwithMarilyn
      @MakingwithMarilyn  2 роки тому +1

      That is a great question. For the tumblers that I bling, using SS20 stones, I believe it has taken around 2450 stones. If you have a name or other design, this will change a bit. But 2450 is pretty close if you are doing a 20 ounce tumbler using the honeycomb method.

This one is just BasyirahScript. The others I have are called BasyirahScript Set 1 and BasyirahScript Set 3. I assume there is a Set 2 but I don't know for sure. I make the word how I want it and then stretch it to the amount of space I want to fill. For this tumbler, the tallest letter would have been about 2.25 inches.
