Wow. My daughter likes to make t-shirts and we have viewed a few videos on you tube and then this was recommended on my home page. You have so many great topics. Glad I found this! 9:59 to help pick up rhinestones. Genius !!!
Creating custom items is such a fun activity. I'm a person that is not afraid to think outside the box and use whatever works to get a project completed. Thank you for your kindness.
Thank you I saw the price of the magic flock I said oh no, got to be another way, And there you are with your tutorial, thank you so much ! keep up the great work !
Thanks for sharing. It works so well, I've been using cardstock for my rhinestone templates for over a year now and it's cost effective. Saves you a lot from magic flocks.
This is an amazing video I just got into rhinestones and do not want to use the flock for price reasons. I like the rhinestone embellishment magnet ones but they also cost money after a while and then you have to store a whole bunch of them somewhere. Thank you thank you for this video
Hello Kimberly 👋🏽. I was scrolling UA-cam and came upon your channel. I am so happy because what I was looking for, I found it on your channel. I was looking for a way to make Rhinestone Templates out of Cardstock in which your video has. Thank You so much. Your way is very economical and inexpensive and this is exactly what I was searching for. Great Video. I have one question, what else can I use to transfer the Rhinestones from the Cardstock if I don't have any scrap vinyl? I'm new at this Rhinestone thing and is just now getting into it. Also, I just Subscribed to your channel. Now, I'm officially a New Subscriber. Again, thank you for this video and leaving it up on your channel, because after all, it is 2 years old. Lol 😅. Awesome video. ❤️😊
Thank you so much for your kindness. I am glad the video helped you. To answer your question I will do a video so you can see exactly what alternatives I would recommend.
Thank you so much this is very helpful. Starting out you’re right that stuff is really expensive, and you don’t even know if you’re going to like doing it. This way I can test it for a lot less expense. Thank you so much
Yes Rhonda. I always say test before you buy. We have to be smart with our money and even smarter when it comes to business decisions. Thanks for visiting my channel.💞
I have an addition to your template. I use dollar tree glitter vinyl on the top of the card stock. The reason is nothing will stick to it! I have been making cheer bows that have 20ss stones in a wave patters the entire length of the bow & there is a lot of empty space that allows the transfer medium to stick to the card stock causing the stones to move. The cheap DT glitter vinyl does the trick. Plus the silhouette mat is wonderful to stick your template.
Blessings to you! I've been making t-shirts over a year but really wanted to get v into the 'Bling' shirts. I purchased some magic flock and made several templates However it's costly. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. I don't think I've enjoyed a video presentation as much as yours! You made it easy to understand and completely use friendly. God bless you and may you prosper in all things God. I'm watching you for more info! Abundant Blessings!)
@@TheEducatedNatural if you don't mind I have a question. I'm brand new but have wanted to get started for about 2 years. Which size stones should I begin with? Are the SS10 in maybe the Crystal AB and I was thinking the Black Diamond a good start?
Most people start with ss10 hotfix stones. The next size is the ss6. For nonhotfix stones which are flat back stones most people start with ss10 and up. Rhinestone size just depends on what you are doing and personal preference. If you are looking to purchase rhinestones in bulk I'd suggest looking for a UA-camr named The Baby's Booty. She has a rhinestone buy in going on currently.
I totally agree with you Kim I would most definitely pat them in there. I appreciate your tutoring because I was most definitely looking to start working with rhinestones. Thanks for sharing.

I came to your channel from Making with Marilyn. This is a game changer for those on a budget. Thanks for the tips of using felt and carrier sheets from your scrape vinyl. In other words, why buy extra supply, use what you have. Never thought to use carrier sheets as transfer paper. Mind blowing. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
@@TheEducatedNatural Exactly and that Astro Bright is cheap when you think of how much of it you get. Plus you can color code your templates for different projects. : )

Hi, I just started trying to use rhinestone designs. I tried using this cardstock to make my template. The heat fix transfer tape pulled some paper up when I pulled the stones up. Any suggestions. I’m torn about moving forward with this project. Thanks
Transfer tape can adhere to the cardstock if it's a strong tact tape. I typically take some of the stickiness off the tape by lightly rubbing it on my shirt prior to lifting the stones. Another option is trying different cardstock such as glitter cardstock. If nothing works you could always use rhinestone flock.

I always use cardstock with the cricut to cut my rhinestone templates. Then I attach the template to a dollar tree cutting mat.
Thanks Katherine. Adding it to a cutting mat is another great option.
