What a hero... this amazing teacher doesn't even use ads in the middle of his videos in order to not distract students from learning... WOW much respect and thanks for such a detailed video on glycolysis!
UGH! You got me through ALL my chemistry classes so far. WHY didn't I think to look to you for Biochemistry until exam 3?!?! Better late than never. THANK YOU SO MUCH
You should get paid more than professors this was super helpful. My teacher is making me memorize very dense notes and I know it would take me a whole night but watching this just saved me soo much time. God bless this man
24 years from medical school but I feel happy to watch such incredible , excellent and easy explanation of this basic biochemistry lecturer. I still remember how many hours we spent to memorize and understand such topics
I've watched a good number of videos on glycolysis but this one is extremely well oriented and super sunken into the real world of biochem👍👍 Excellent sir...
@@king-yq5xj The extra H for an acid would create -COOH group from the -COO, not the impossible spot it is in this video. (in reality, in pH 7 environments, these would all be acids instead)
What I love about this video is how it really explains and expands the chemical reactions. This way, I know what reaction is happening each step of the pathway and for someone like me who's always asking the question why? Why is this happening? This video is the best friend I needed to understand glycolysis. And there was little distraction so I was able to focus. And you didn't rush the process. You took it step by step and I wasn't confused at any point. Thank you so much! I really can't tell you how grateful I am.
Thank you so much for making this so much simpler to learn!!! Compared to other videos that do it in 10 minutes or less, this one is well worth the 40+minutes, very thorough and answers questions I never knew I needed to ask!!!
goodness gracious THANK YOU so much!!! I have a biochem exam in just a few hours, (third exam in a row rip), and I honestly don't think I'll do well but this has helped so much. The explanations actually made me understand and remember a bit better, I was getting so frustrated with my lectures and notes before this. At least I have glycolysis down for my exam now haha. Thanks again, your videos have been saving me since high school :)
I didn't need this detailed explanation, but it finally helped me understand glycolysis after learning it 100 times in so many different courses. FInally. Thank you so much
i've always come to this channel whenever i need help with understanding chemistry, physics and biology. u're the best teacher ever and u've made very complicated things so much easier to be understood. Not even once was i confused while watching ur video. AWESOME!!!
Who are you man, where do you come from, why are you so knowledgeable in anything I ever need. An absolute GOAT 🐐🐐🐐. Seriously man, the stricture of your video is amazing, how detailed it is amazing and your ability to explain it simply and at a steady pace is amazing. Be genuinely proud of yourself , you have a tremendous ability.
Agree with that this is amazing ... I just randomly search for biochemistry but no suitable video ik found after that video I play all the playlist about my syllabus and take all the lectures which is given in my syllabus and I satisfied that I'll pass k exam with high grades
Warning people it is detailed? Really? It's actually very straightforward and easy to understand. Is the general public that incompetent in science? I love this video. My high school students understand this.
I think you need to one day show your face cuz you are doing the best thing ever. God bless you so much for what you are doing. Anytime I come to you, I get sorted out. Kudos to you man
BEST UA-cam TEACHER EVER... YOU'RE OUR HERO ALL OVER THE WORLD, YOUR VIDEOS ARE EASY TO UNDERSTAND AND YOU NARROW EVERYTHING DOWN TO SUCH AN EXTENT THAT EVEN A LOW GRADE STUDENT CAN UNDERSTAND🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I literally cried happy tears after I watched THIS video 😭. Biochemistry is a lot to handle and it doesn't help the fact that the few teachers who know rap in class. Thank you so much for this❤️💝✨. I'll be sticking around this channel for a loonngg tiimmeee.
I needed all of it!! Thank you so much for making this video! I have had a lot of trouble understanding glycolysis when reading about it, but this visualization really helped!
Thorough yet easy breakdown of a long process, well done. Only thing I will point out is that in Step 9, the Phosphoenol Pyruvate is drawn with a carbon with 5 bonds (impossible). It should have the -C, -O, and =C but not the -H as it was removed by dehydration. Once again great video, much better explained than most professors.
you are the best tutor ! had it not been for this video I would have not understood glycolysis . Thank you so much. This topic was confusing and hard to understand until I watched this video
You are truly blessed. Words cannot express how amazing a teacher you are. This is what I have been looking for....teaching that allows me to completely understand😊AMAZING!!
thank you so much sir ...i've been watching your tutorial videos for three years now. you've helped me to have clear understanding of science and mathematics ...i was trying to search for other pathways from your playlist, such as citric acid cycle , gluconeogenesis but i couldn't find them ..kindly make some more playlists on many other biochemistry pathways than you ... this is amazingg . i am from humanities background studying msc dietetics and applied nutrition and this video made me understand every bit of glycolysis when I thought understanding this isn't my cup of tea , I have always ignored biochem but now your videos helped me a lot . thankyou for doing what you do
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO. I NEEDED EVERY DETAIL. I APPRECIATE THE BREAKDOWN OMG. I WISH I WASNT A BROKE COLLEGE STUDENT, I WOULD HAVE LOVED TOPAY YOU. THANK YOU SO MUCH AHHH
Of a truth I couldn't really find any detailed video on glycolysis and I happen to come across your channel. You're such a darlin' .thank you so much 😊
Carbon has 5 bonds on Phosphoenol Pyruvate in Step 9, time: 38.30 at first it was confusing when you said both the H and OH was removed because the H was still in the products. Other than that THANK YOU FOR THE DETAILS in Glycolysis! Much much appreciated!
me too, i dunno why in the right sight, it still has H, but he said it lost H in the left. Can u explain for me? I had a presentation about this on this Friday. I am Vietnamese, sorry if I write English not very well!
this must be the best video and he must be the best lecturer. what unhelpful video! GOD! have no words! love from Ethiopia! i have a test the day after tomorrow and i am sure i will examine the exam itself by the help of this video! thanks!

You are incredible. You have explained this so it is easy to understand. Thank you for your time, effort, and knowledge. You have saved me more times than I can count. Thank you!!
Thank you so much for making this video!!! It really helped understand the topic very well. Whenever I struggle with my courses, I directly go to your channel!!! For step 9, the carbon can only form four bonds, you drew 6 bonds for carbon
Ure a HERO i just finished my biochemistry class and didn't understand a thung and all the vid on youtube only simply things and ur just what i want thanks alot
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I was having a hard time comprehending the pathway of glycolysis and was on the verge of yet another mental breakdown lmao. You've explained this very well and I'm looking forward to check out more of your videos on biochemistry :) cheers
This video is so detailed and thorough. Thank you so much for your time and producing such wonderful content. I wrote everything out and will have to re-study all of this, but these videos are helpful when reviewing all of the material learned in undergrad in biology.
Thank you so much! This video really helps me a lot.🥰 This whole video took 41 minutes to explain the whole glycolysis process but my school lecture video for glycolysis took only 3 minutes. 🤣
The extra details were SUPER helpful! Yes, I only needed, as you put "a basic overview," but I liked the biochem breakdown because now I understand where all the molecule changes occur and why they occur.

in step 9 the 2nd carbon of phosphoenol pyruvate has 5 bonds , correct that . this video is very helpful thank you.

Good for you, finishing up my pre reqs and this with physics II has really challenged me. MCAT in the spring then applying in the summer. Any tips?

This video was INCREDIBLE.
Just one little thing phosphoenol pyruvate in step 9 had an extra H. Just drop a little marker should be fine.
Was going to say that until I saw your comment.
If you add an extra H it will be pyruvic acid instead of pyruvate; thus, the lecture is on point, my brother.
@@king-yq5xj The extra H for an acid would create -COOH group from the -COO, not the impossible spot it is in this video. (in reality, in pH 7 environments, these would all be acids instead)
yes I thought so too, for a water molecule to come out that extra H can't be there.
