Enzymes - Catalysts

- This biology video tutorial provides a basic introduction into enzymes - most of which are protein based catalysts that speed up chemical reactions by lowering the activation energy of the transition state. Some enzymes are RNA based catalysts called Ribozymes. This video discusses the method of how enzymes interact with their substrates using the lock and key model as well as the induced fit model. When an enzyme binds with its substrate, it forms an intermediate known as the enzyme substrate complex. This intermediate quickly breaks down into the original enzyme and the products of the reaction. The enzyme is not consumed in the process thus allowing it to be reused in another cycle.

All of your videos are so helpful. They helped me get an A in organic chemistry. Now I’m in biochemistry with a professor who doesn’t teach, so I’m back to learn from you! You’ve been instrumental in getting me through the chemistry portion of my degree. Thank you ❤️
We are the luckiest students!
Best generation 😁
I think All we med students can agree that you've saved us...God has used you and we love you 😍❤
Iam learning different type of objects specially Math from your page since school - (right now I am medicine student)
you helped me to success in medical university you are a hero ❤️
I pray every time i play your videos you are such a talented teacher 🙏🏻🙂
you deserve way more views. your voice is so soothing!
Creepy
Soothing but boring
No body would fall asleep on your class. Nobody. And no body will fail. Because everything is straight to the point.
THANK YOU is the only thing i can give in return for this hard work please keep on helping us.
He's like a sugar daddy fr,he spoils us with such useful things
righttt
A sucrose daddy
I was looking for some other reactions and to be honest I didn’t understand everything but your explanation is so good that that I understood more about what I am looking for 👍 thanks
you have been helping everyone alot on thier educational journey. Thank you very much
I didn't find anyone like you pls do more videos on biology
I just love the way you teach.. You make things so easy for us to understand.. Thank you so much. Best wishes for you. ❤️
Me too dear
everytime halfway through your videos i have to big you up because you explain things so easily i grasp it so quick, better than my actual teachers at university
Keep up with the biology videos they are great
Omg I’m pre med and your vids are getting me through school
been watching you since high school and now am in 2nd year in college and I still watch your videos
I learn so much from your channel! Thank you again and again.
the best teacher ever
Your explanation is really helpful 🙏🙏🙏
Speechless. May Almighty God bless you the more
You are perfect
Thank you so much
Could you please also cover cell division. So mitosis and meiosis and the cell cycle
Please do this
Continue sir you are helping us than our lectures
Tnx very much for this vid it helped me a lot 💖.
you're a blessing! Ily, man. 💛
your are the best in the world i really can't thank u enough
Sir as soon as i finish my studies i need to see u...
Thank God there is you.
This is just the best
Very good 😊
Please can u make full video on the entire enzymology course
Could you please do a video on microscopy. SEM and TEM please
Thank you so much sir
Which proffesion please 🙏
I have a question ?what is the product of the first phase of the forward reaction when given that most enzymes controlled reactions are reversible given an example of reversible controlled reaction e.g(Glucose + Oxygen forward and backward arrows carbon (lV) oxide + water + energy)
Thanks a lot.
thank you
proeases also can have the suffix in, like trypsin.
Thanks 💗
Sir I have a question
Sir how much time does an enzyme takes to complete its work with the substitute like how much time does a substitute takes to Deattach from the enzyme once it attaches
Once the reaction is done, it doesn't have a definite time, it's according to the reaction
@@habibamagdy6043 oh thank you 😊
Competitive inhibitors are hella irritating! Talkin bout “me first me first me first!” 🤮😒
🤣🤣🤣
Plz do glycolysis
Thank u
Thanks
I just knew u would have enzyme part 😂🎉
i literally love u
That's awesome
where the anabolism reactions at LOL just kidding. i know theres a lot of bio on your plate. ill keep watching theses!
thank you :-)
thank you for this video. ^^)
anyone here in 2021 ;)
10:41 I guess you meant that the inhibitor will bind to the enzyme not the substrate
Wow, I'm early
magic 💗 even he make me cry cuz I understand something will make my degree low and I don't like that
What’s a channel!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
please help me kirchhoff s law please prof 🙏🙏🙏
