@@ricardoramos1059 he’s the bald Dwarf with the beard. He has a scene with Thorin in the third film actually saying to him “You cannot see what you have become”
Agreed; however, as horrible as it is, I'm glad the series doesn't shy away or sugarcoat things by only having adult deaths. It really shows the gravity of what happens when you fuck with Dracula.
If the series follows Castlevania III, The sleeping Soldier should be Alucard, and the magic person should be Sylphia (if I'm remembering my names correctly) who was the ice mage chick from the game...
It was probably mentioned last time, but the 3D Castlevania games like Lament of Innocence are a different continuity from the original 2D ones. They're only connected via theme and names, not events..
No, Lament of Innocence was a shitty attempt at a retcon of Sonia Belmont. Curse of Darkness was an actual good story, about a former lieutenant under Dracula having defected during Castlevania III and basically costing him the fight against Trevor. The game itself takes place not long after Castlevania III, since you work with Trevor, who even mentions he had help fighting Dracula. The Lords of Shadow games started the different continuity.
Oh I can't wait for your reactions next week, it's gonna be great! The little pops of you guys are so awesome! I'm really enjoying your reaction so far, keep up the good work. By the way, Sypha was the character's name Rick.
Their not. the 4 episodes were made to see if there was interest in the project. If it did well, then season 2 will pick up where they left off and try to finish it in the following 8 episodes, if not leaving space for a 3rd season. Netflix liked the response and instantly ordered the 8 episodes of season 2, so we will see what is covered.
The "last son" line is a joke about getting kicked in the balls, he's saying he'll be the last of line cause he won't be able to make a baby. At least that was my interpretation.
you made it all up, Leon Belmont after failing to save his beloved (who is now the soul inside the whip, giving it hatred towards creatures of darkness) SWORE that his lineage would fight the night, he wasn't cursed to it.
No. No no no no. Do NOT acknowledge the dipshit decision to retcon a good story in favor of garbage. The REAL story is that Sonia Belmont faced Dracula, and Alucard tested her mettle. At some point, they had a child together, which is why the Belmont family is so powerful, and also why they face Dracula. Lament of Innocence is a garbage story, a garbage retcon, all because SOMEONE didn't think a female should be the start of the fight against Dracula. Dracula was NOT some idiot named Mathias. He was NOT a friend to Belmonts. It was a terrible decision, and anyone who was a fan of it should be banned from playing or even being associated with anything Castlevania.
I'm sorry but are you aknowledging the travesty that is castlevania legends for gameboy? a castlevania with candles that when destroyed don't give anything good AND opens up the floor making you fall into a boring pitfight? Castlevania legends was never supposed to be. And Lament of Innocence is far better than the miserable pile of shit that is lords of shadow.
@@TimedRevolver ok. but chronologically that makes 0 sense, since that kid is implied to be Trevor and Trevor is presumably older than Alucard in this universe. you can like that timeline better, but at the very least this show is not following it. ((Leon shows up later, which i get you didn't know at the time of posting this, but that pretty much confirms it.)) i also think you may be conflating the fact that sonia was a chick with her game being good which...no. it wasn't. sure, the best part of LoI was the amazingly cheesy voice acting, with the game being overall meh, but it at least told a more logical story than legends two. i have no problem with sonia. if leon and her swapped games, I would still like LoI better. i think she's a bland character, but a lot of the castlevania protags are and she came from an eight bit game, so i'll cut her slack on it. but just because she's female doesn't make her story good. and just because you don't like a game doesn't mean everyone else has to ignore it. seriously, you're gatekeeping over a preference in characters and game. that's a tad ridiculous. ((though i will grant you that there are. no interesting female characters in lament. elizabetha's personality is that she's dead and sara is a piece of cardboard.)) if they reworked her into being important to canon again (without retconning something else because seriously, let's not make things more confusing), i wouldn't be against it. actually, her being in a game that isn't bad would be pretty cool.
@@shadestained I was responding to someone who was assuming the show followed the story of the games, which even in the first 'season', it clearly didn't. It paid homage, but it wasn't lifted directly. I wasn't talking about Legends being good or bad. I was saying that she was retconned away because IGA didn't think a woman should be the first Belmont to face Dracula. As a result, we got a terrible story about some guy BECOMING Dracula, and Leon's wife being in the whip like this is the Bionic Commando reboot. Lament took what was good about Castlevania and pissed all over it just because IGA wanted a male to be the Belmont's first, not a woman. You obviously have no idea what you're on about. I know entirely too much about the series as a whole.
@@TimedRevolver i don't think anyone thought this was directly lifted from the games, given that the show isn't talking about Dracula creating a "bad world filled with evil", but even so i don't see why you felt the need to correct them on their choice of story, especially if this doesn't directly follow the games. though I may be wrong on this front, I don't know. but i'll acknowledge that i brought up game quality too much when the original point you made was focused on story quality. you can think LoI is stupid, you're entitled to that opinion, but the point I was trying to make was that arguing that people shouldn't be allowed to like a series because they want to accept the storyline of a game you hate is ridiculous. if I failed to make that point, that's one thing, but if you actually think everyone has to accept your view of the series that's just something I don't even want to try to argue. this is a campy video game about vampires. also, no idea what i'm talking about? in terms of the series or just me being an idiot? i'm sorry if I was being rude or said something blatantly, factually incorrect or something. tldr: please don't lord your preferences over everyone else's and gatekeep, especially when the subject isn't controversial ((I doubt the majority of people who prefer LoI to Legends feel that way because they hate women or something)), and you can enjoy things and still be critical of them. but then again, i'm bad at making coherent responses. i'm really not trying to say something rude or inflammatory, and i don't want to start a long argument about this or anything. :)
Leon went after Walter Bernhardt to rescue his fiancé..his friend Matthias became Dracula..Belmont took an oath to hunt Dracula..HOWEVER, by chance they break Dracula's immortality and shatter the crimson stone, Walter will once again be released and set a new journey for the Belmonts
Just by 2 eps i know its going to be a good franchise. The story, voice, mythical aspect, action and gore. Its just refreshing and deep. Looking forward to watching it, 4 seasons lego!
In Lamment of Innocence Leon's wife was kidnapped by Walter the Vampire that rule Castlevania and had the power of a Magic Stone, in the ending Mathias/Dracula, Leon's best friend appears saying that he used Leon and his wife to adquire the magic stone and become a vampire and thus Dracula and the Belmonts parted ways from friendship
