4:18 If I remember right, if you beat Castlevania 3 with Sypha as your partner, then you get an ending where it's revealed she was a woman the whole time. Basically the Metroid twist.
Well it wasn't known until the end in both games. So it could have been a woman or man, we just didn't know. Assuming it was a man until shown that it is a woman is an extreme bias you had.
@@Realmfaker except the game referred to sypha as a man, and even the instruction manual said she was a guy. Same thing with Samus in Metroid with the instruction manual.
Castlevania III pulls a Metroid with Sypha. She's referred to as a "he" in the instruction manual, but at the end of the game she pulls her cloak down and you see her blonde hair.
I think what it really is is that this season was basically a teaser season. Sort of the creator's way of saying "Hey, so this is something we made. What do you guys think of it?" That's my guess as to why this season is only 4 episodes long.
CaptCooldude. The reason why this is only 4 episodes, is because this was actually a movie. But Netflix wanted a series, so they cut it into four parts.
CaptCooldude. Yeah. And from what I was told, next season is 8 episodes cause this was originally going to be a trilogy. So next season is the other two movies. I don't know why they didn't just do the movies.
In Castlevania lore, Dracula's castle never appears in the same place nor does it have the same layout every time in appears. In all likelihood, that was just the ruins of Dracula's castle that Trevor's great grandfather explored. I do hope that when Trevor's story is told they explore other Belmonts.
There definitely were priests that fought historically. Usually they'd use maces and other blunt weapons that were less likely to draw blood. It's not like every priest was a warrior by any means, but it was hardly unheard of.
This seems to be roughly following Castlevania 3. The Belmonts were exiled because the people where scared of their power, but they found Trevor to combat Dracula. Sypha’s gender was not mentioned in the Japanese game, I recall, until the end (with her in your party). In English, the implied genderless pronouns became default male pronouns making the reveal a little more surprising.
Nice reaction! I really like this episode. The only problem I had was Trevor's turn to a hero, it felt rushed. His development was good, but it didn't feel earned. I do like Trevor though, he is easily one of my most favorite heroes now. Sypha was a woman in the game, but she disguised herself as a man to protect herself. The next episode is awesome, can't wait to see what you think. I also thought that "I swear it just moved" line was hilarious too Rick. 😄
It still bugs me that the same people who noticed, and were annoyed by, the mispronunciation of the names in The Last Airbender movie *still* hear names from the characters own mouths and later on completely ignore it and just guess at what they wrote down.
The Bishop's plan is basically that of any power-hungry man. He wanted to rule the people completely through religion, but he was merely a bishop, not an archbishop. When Dracula declared his war, he left that city and was stationed in another town with a church. He planned to hide in that church and control the people's faith, believing that so long as he was in the church, no one could harm him. Then while Dracula slaughtered everyone else, his city would remain standing and he would rule everyone.
No Sypha was always a girl in the games. The ending if you have her as your partner shows she's female. The whole thing about her being referred to as "he" in the game and manual was because it was a "Samus Is A Girl" twist.
Apex Devil popular? No cause it doesn't have the regular pretty boys at all, good enough? That's where you are wrong it is better than main stream anime
I do believe it wasn't a girl it was a boy I've only seen the game being played a couple times but for my understanding it only a vague similarity to the games itself it has the same storyline basis but it's not too similar to it so there's either people that really love the series or really hate it because it doesn't go like the video game completely it's just Loosely based off of the video game as in there will be some similarities but it's not really the same as how the video game goes it is but it isn't in my opinion
Ok I know I'm late but am I the only one who immediately guessed Sypha's pronouns when everyone carefully avoided using her name of male/female pronouns for her? Usually that means they're trying to trick you into thinking they're referring to a man when they are actually referring to a woman. (All though I did hold out hope that she was nonbinary until they confirmed that she's a woman.

when i played the game i was thinking she was a woman the whole time it was weird for me but she looked like a woman to me
Sypha was Castlevania's equivalent of Samus, in that we were told this character was a guy until the very end of Castlevania III.
MariktheGunslinger Metroivania strikes again.

my gods one of my friends and his brother have been females all this time
"God shits in my dinner once again" probably my favourite line from this episode.
randomm065 Sypha: "I'm Sypha Belnades."
Trevor: "I don't care..."
KamektheMagikoopa1 lol that was a good one too.
Once again, the gods jam cock in FUCKING ASS!
It is a good quote

Renegade Hero Ahh okay. That makes sense since the episodes are only 20 minutes long.
CaptCooldude. Yeah. And from what I was told, next season is 8 episodes cause this was originally going to be a trilogy. So next season is the other two movies. I don't know why they didn't just do the movies.
Renegade Hero Huh...yeah good question. Cuz you can watch Netflix shows all at once anyways lol.
Munzur Baba. Ahhh, that makes sense, thanks.

I think it's the castles "roots" when castlevania is summoned pathways form underground and can stretch out for miles

but even so, these weapons aren't exactly..... priestly. it's meant to convey a feeling of "this is wrong"
This series is underrated. I'm noticing not a lot of people know about it on your channel. It should definetley get more views.
Sypha's a girl, it is revealed at the end of the game and you see her long hair.

Sypha is revealed to be a woman in her ending.
Everyone thinks it's a guy when people vaguely talk about them.
that's how english works, it's a holdover from latin and old germanic.
That cyclops fight tho
WE NEED MORE REACTORS REACTING TO THIS SHOW!!!!!!!!
Congrats on 200K subs. Loving the content.

Aaron did.
