Got to keep something in mind that this was live. That’s right live without any aid from any equipment just the raw beautiful voices. Of course my stand out will always be George. He had such a beautiful tone that made his voice so incredibly velvety. It’s pure perfection to me.
I remember as a young teenager singing along with Elton John in all his songs, but when George Michael came out with this I was like DAMN!!! This is one of my favorite duo performances of all time too. The voices, the harmonies...it was spiritual! Beautifully orchestrated and brilliantly sung! 👏 BRAVA ❤🎤🎶🎹
This performance was phenomenal probably my best in my 60 yrs of listening to music. No disrespect to J. Timberlake he can't compare at all to these two iconic singers especially George Michael. This is an Elton John song tho George wrote and produced all his songs. Incredible voice!!!!
I haven’t heard this in ages and I had chills going up and down my arms. Their voices blend together so well, that was magical. I still think that Jimmy Barns and John Farnham’s duet “when something is wrong with my baby” live version on “Hey, Hey it’s Saturday” is still the best I’ve heard. The first time I heard this I was driving to work and it gave me chills then. Great pick and reaction💕
George and Elton - two of the best and finest voices of all time are together on stage here, and the whole thing is a live performance. Both are divine.
I totally appreciate the fact that you do not interrupt a song while you’re listening to it! It’s so frustrating when people stop it when I know an amazing part is about to start and it’s just it gets deflated because of the interruption. So thank you for that. There are so many great singers and duets, this is right up there in my top 10 which probably has 30 or 40 songs in it lol. Keep on keeping on renaissance man!
FACTS!! If I see one more reactor who pauses right at a brilliant part, it completely puts me right OFF. DEREK reactions is exactly that!, he is truly every second stopping the song.
Amazing. Two legends killing it. Chills every time with the song. I really want you to watch this live video you will get so much more out of it. Song written by Elton John in 1977 and he had a huge hit. George re-recorded it in the early 90s and another huge hit. This was the last concert of one of George Michaels tours and he invited Alton out to sing it together. Shows off Michael’s vocals like never before. This was surely a moment. They also performed together at the Academy Awards or Grammys can’t remember but the exquisite writing talent of Elton John is also on display. Great choice.❤️❤️❤️✌️
1,2,3... falling in love with you was so easy for me...my beautiful george❤️❤️❤️ How i miss you so mutch❤️🙏 this performance by george is phenomanol....i mean his voice is so incredibly beautiful..... goosbumps ... togheter they where epic...... George invited elton ho was just out of rehab.....elton told he was terrified performing for first time since getting sober....you can see him thank George at the end 1,2,3 also a great beautiful song George did whit his friend and basgitarist deon estus...ho was with george from the periode of wham and when he went solo....deon also was cold the third member of wham......they had a great friendship...george support deon by making a album...deon made a hit cold ..heven help me... george and deon wrote it togheter... And george did the background vocals.....sadly deon past away at oktober 11 ,2021...at the age of 65 🙏 you sut watch sometime
Dear Kathryn, Yes Magnifacent duet, yet the video is so much better. You can actually, hear & feel the emotion. As for the song with Natalie & her father is beautiful, but This is about George & Elton!
George Michael's song You Have Been Loved is a beautiful song if you get the chance. Worth checking out. Love your reaction to this one! Always loved the song by Elton, but this duet is KILLER!
Take a listen to the duet George did with Aretha Franklin. Cannot remember the title right now. Also take a look at George singing at the Freddy Mercury benefit concert….he kills it!
Yes, this always gives me goosebumps. I never get tired of hearing it. And George had the most perfect, pitch - such a powerful voice, and Elton is a legend, of course. I enjoyed watching your facial expressions and knew you were loving it!
In a time when 90% of the music is just garbage, there actually was a time not so very ago when artists like George Michael and Elton John made some of the best, most heartfelt music in history. Auto-tune and lip-sync were unheard of and not needed, because real voices and instruments ruled the day...Many of today's artists might be remembered for a decade or two....George's and Elton's music will be listened to as long as there are people still around to hear it...RIP George!
This made me so happy! I watched your expression from beginning to end. When you figured out where the song was from was so great to see that smile and WOW SUCH TALENT! So glad you appreciated. Love you brother. 💖 🎶🙏
My all time favorite of Elton John. This version is a close second! I actually saw Elton John in concert 6 years ago in The Woodlands, (Houston area), and he was still great!! Love your "New" segments!!
Best Live Duet, Ever! Chills, omg. The audience knowing/suspecting Elton John was upcoming, listen to the the roars and constant cheers. Saw Elton John Live in San Antonio, TX. This tops it! I'm 61...I should do a reaction channel listening to modern music, like from the 2000s n up. Lol. Love your channel. 😂❤
It's such a shame you couldn't see them on video, just on photo. Never mind, I have seen this video many a time!! Met Elton (Sir!) in 1972, I was 12 yrs old but amazed to meet such an incredible person with Bernie Taupin & the band. My brother asked him for his autograph, he's 5 yrs older than me. What a lovely man he was, what with his personality & ofcourse his genious singing & amazing piano, just fabulous!!!
Thank you for the reaction. And to Ricky Marden ... such a dedicated GM fan. It's too bad you didn't use the concert, though ... which is where this recording came from.
@Modern Renaissance Man , George Michael did a few duets with some big hitters . He did a duet with Whitney Houston " If i told you that " , he did a duet with Aretha Franklin " I knew you were waiting for me " , he did a duet with Mary J Blige " As " and he also did a duet with Stevie Wonder " Living for the City " .
Hey hey Ty! Still with ya- I just can’t deal with the news and political stuff most of the time- it works up my anger, anxiety,etc.. But I know you’re out there giving an outlet and making a difference.. keep it up! Always sending love- 💙💜👍✌️
Amazing to hear them together. There's also a phenomenal duet video from a concert of Shania Twain's her and Elton John they did duets of one of her songs and one of his it was amazing and they were so sweet together
Ty, you should check out Tamplin Vocal Academy on UA-cam. He’s a longtime voice coach. He analyzes both voices and discusses how they sing. He mentions which is the better voice.
Raymond, I don't understand what your saying in Destination? I'd really like to know what you meant! Possibly, friendship? If so, I'd like to speak my mind on that situation! It will not be good!
Larry Graham (Sly & the Family Stone) and his single "One in a Million". I first heard this song early one Sunday morning. The video showed Mr Graham walking into a music studio. I'd never heard him alone before. It was momentous.
Where's the video? What a letdown. For this performance is Epic!!! How could you Not show these two perform together. Just hearing it is not the same. We're missing so much.
You have given me a new appreciation of George Michael - I never was a fan until now. I have always been an Elton John fan. I saw him perform this song many years ago when it came out. Listen to Ticking on the Caribou album. A great song that few people seem to know. ua-cam.com/video/2WJK7yeTWo8/v-deo.html
George wrote a song for Elton back in the early 90s. Unfortunately the album it was to feature in never came to fruition because of his dispute with Sony. I have heard it, and it is absolutely stunning. George was a phenom in the music business. Aretha also wanted him to write and produce for her too. Just the fact that George not only sang with Elton, but also with Mary J, Whitney, Aretha, Ray Charles, Tony Bennett, Paul McCartney and many more tells you that he was a world renowned musician. He wasn’t only Wham! or Faith. He was so much more than that. The albums that followed 1987 are truly his best work. And what a voice, oh that voice! It just got better and better with time.
Actually saw Elton john live in Blackpool. Poxy shitty crap northern weather meant the concert was cancelled midway through. Dont let anyone tell you england is glorious in the summer 🤣🤣
Please react to Grand Funk Railroad "Inside Looking Out" live. It is without a doubt the most passionate, intense, energetic live performance I've ever seen. I imagine I'll die before I see its like again. Here is the link to the live performance: ua-cam.com/video/NxcOxvEsE_Y/v-deo.html
George Michael is the whole package
Got to keep something in mind that this was live. That’s right live without any aid from any equipment just the raw beautiful voices. Of course my stand out will always be George. He had such a beautiful tone that made his voice so incredibly velvety. It’s pure perfection to me.
He was the BEST❤️🥰❤️🥰❤️🥰

The fact that this is a LIVE performance gets even MORE props!!!
One of my favorite collaborations of all time! George Michael killed it! Elton already legend. Period
I actually like it better than the original.
@@snoopyfan1476 agree
George Michael had such a beautiful tone to his voice. He is missed.
George Michael is one of the most amazing entertainer. RIP George.
George Michael truly haf a voice of no other. So pure. Angelic. He is truly missed. 80s wouldnt been same without him. 😕😔
I get goose bumps every time I hear them do this!
This is one of my favorite songs/videos. Not just beautiful but also heartfelt
This performance was phenomenal probably my best in my 60 yrs of listening to music. No disrespect to J. Timberlake he can't compare at all to these two iconic singers especially George Michael. This is an Elton John song tho George wrote and produced all his songs. Incredible voice!!!!
If I listen to this song every day, I think my life will be better 🙌

Two absolute legends, timeless, I miss George so much, what a talent we've lost
Don’t even ask how many times this old woman has watched this video.
It does NOT get any better than these 2 leaving it all on the stage
I count myself blessed that I saw George Michael live twice. The man did NOT disappoint. Maaaan.
George and Elton - two of the best and finest voices of all time are together on stage here, and the whole thing is a live performance. Both are divine.
Agree!!
You are the first of those who critique that tell the truth in what you hear. Most others say everyone is chillingly good. Thank you.
You’re not alone!! It’s THE BEST!!!!
Great song Elton & George together sound Awsome R.I.P George ✝️
such a beautiful duet from two exceptional artist. We have been losing too many wonderful artist. Thank you so much for this.
Poor Elton, lost 2 of his closest friends within a few yrs of each other ❤
I totally appreciate the fact that you do not interrupt a song while you’re listening to it! In case no one mentioned it already? This is an Elton John original piece.

Love, love, love this song!! Thank you for the trip down memory lane.
Probably one of the best duets ever….fantastic vocals
First time I ever heard this song was this version, and its video.
Dear Kathryn, Yes Magnifacent duet, yet the video is so much better. You can actually, hear & feel the emotion. As for the song with Natalie & her father is beautiful, but This is about George & Elton!
I heard this song as a teenager on MTV back when they played music videos and I loved it. ❤️
George Michael's song You Have Been Loved is a beautiful song if you get the chance. Worth checking out.
Love your reaction to this one!
Always loved the song by Elton, but this duet is KILLER!
Very honest opinion of this duet....truly epic!
Take a listen to the duet George did with Aretha Franklin. Cannot remember the title right now. Also take a look at George singing at the Freddy Mercury benefit concert….he kills it!
Man that dude could sang!! Correction both of those gentlemen can sang. Sorry, I just got a little lost on the opening.
I saw this award show live on cable, back in the day of running to the kitchen (or the bathroom) during commercials
I heard it 1st in the mid 70s!!! Thank you for all you do.

Awww man…I love watching this with the live concert video❤️
Geeze I'm seeing this the first time one year late.
Love it...
I love your reactions to music. I agree this is one of the best duo performances.
This made me so happy! I watched your expression from beginning to end. When you figured out where the song was from was so great to see that smile and WOW SUCH TALENT! So glad you appreciated. Love you brother. 💖 🎶🙏
This is totally classic great music.
You are soooo right !!

I love your passion in everything you do.
Always brings me a smile on my face🥰
Dos grandes!! Impecable interpretación, nada más que decir 💯✨
This was part of a 90+ minute concert. I had the double tape and listened to it many times in the mid 80's. Highly recommended.
Ah…..double cassettes. Those were the days!
No internet, no social media . Just getting lost In the music.
you nailed it !! These two and this song was like so good !! Goosebumps everywhere !
Thank you for the reaction. And to Ricky Marden ... such a dedicated GM fan.
It's too bad you didn't use the concert, though ... which is where this recording came from.
You’re welcome Sally.
You need to check out Elton John's "Funeral for a Friend/Love Lies Bleeding."
One of my.favs
Check out Elton doing the song Live in Rio from 1995.
I love your videos! Most of all, thank you for your past months of hard work. I’ll leave it at that. America needs more people like you. ❤️🇺🇸❤️
Perfection.(Sorry to the Justin fans ,he just isn`t in the same league).
I remember when this came out
One of my favourite duets is Paul McCartney & Michael Jackson " Say , say ,Say "
You Need the Video...to truly experience their union.

Amazing to hear them together. There's also a phenomenal duet video from a concert of Shania Twain's her and Elton John they did duets of one of her songs and one of his it was amazing and they were so sweet together

yes, that's a terrific analysis.
I love the song.. but I feel bad for their destination..

Larry Graham (Sly & the Family Stone) and his single "One in a Million". I first heard this song early one Sunday morning. The video showed Mr Graham walking into a music studio. I'd never heard him alone before. It was momentous.
Yes!❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️
Even better....if you can believe that lol....is the live vid
When I saw Elton John in the title, the first thing I thought was " *PIN BALL WIZARD* "
Unfortunately, the Sun went Down On Me
Timberlake?? Aiken???
What???
This is Elton John!!! A legend!
The quintessential duet here.
Where's the video? What a letdown. For this performance is Epic!!! How could you Not show these two perform together. Just hearing it is not the same. We're missing so much.
The first time I heard this song was Roger Daltrey’s cover. Elton does it the best but Roger’s version is still really good.
one more try george michael
Have u seen the pbs special with Seal & Michael Bolton? When a man loves a woman medley…
OK, you just got a new old (57) white lady subscriber!
Damn Man U should played live video. Great
You have given me a new appreciation of George Michael - I never was a fan until now. I have always been an Elton John fan. I saw him perform this song many years ago when it came out. It's Elton's song, but then they did a duet of it
Think i got song im doing this month 😂😂😂
Need to watch the Faith video by George Michael.
And the video? That would have helped your analysis.
Simon n Garfunkel💕
This was a beautiful duet, and George Micheal sang his part. But for me, Elton Johns solo recording does it for me.
One of the favorite duets?
Heard Natalie and Nat King Cole sing "Unforgettable"? It is.
You really have to see that live. It loses in the translation.
Ha Ha Ha...
We can't hear you when the song is playing.
