Then George during his few years of protest against Sony went on a what was called a cover to cover tour where he just did covers because he didn’t want Sony to benefit from anything. This song once they released it live went to number one all over the world. Which, by the way, never reached that number one spot when Elton John released it in the 70s.
I was lucky to see George and Elton performing live in different concerts over the years (although not this event). Both very talented and both really respected each other's work.
