You have to read the bio on this song. They originally performed together when George was in his early 20s at the live aid charity concert. Then George during his few years of protest against Sony went on a what was called a cover to cover tour where he just did covers because he didn’t want Sony to benefit from anything. This song once they released it live went to number one all over the world. Which, by the way, never reached that number one spot when Elton John released it in the 70s.
