George Michael is probably the most loved artist of the past 40 years in the UK. He had success in the US in the late 80s but never stopped being hugely popular in the UK and much of Europe. He died very suddenly and shockingly on Christmas Day 2016. He has ‘national treasure’ status here. check out his unplugged videos, especially ‘you have been loved’ but any of his tracks are worth checking out.
I love the fact that he is so admired, appreciated and loved in the UK. I live in the US but never stopped following his career once he stepped away from the US market. I have everything that he put out and I adore him. He’s my absolute favorite singer songwriter.
George had one of the best voices live. Not only was that echoed by his fans but music critics alike said that he sounded better live than his recordings. He had so much power, range and emotion in his voice that it filled up the entire stadium. I saw him several times in concert and can attest to the fact that his voice gave me chills.
I cannot believe you've never listened to George Michael before, hell, the guy is legendary. He wrote and sung THE most awesome songs. You gotta check his songs out man, you just gotta, you don't know what you're missing.
You should watch the movie Rocketman about Elton John's life this is the first show he performed after he came out of rehab. So sad the George Michael died from addiction rest in peace George this is one of Elton John's best songs
In a time when 90% of the music is just garbage, there actually was a time not so very ago when artists like George and Elton made some of the best, most heartfelt music in history. Auto-tune and lip-sync were unheard of and not needed, because real voices and instruments ruled the day...Many of today's artists might be remembered for a decade or two....George Michael and Elton John's music will be listened to as long as there are people around to hear it...RIP George!
So sad that George Michael died of natural causes in 2017. He was only 53 yrs old. Elton John also such a genious. Love him singing 'Don't go breaking my heart' xx
You don't know who George Michael is, think you are in a class of your own. If it helps I have watched other you tubers do this song and they do not make the picture smaller

No George died from Heart Failure (natural causes). George did have issues with drugs in the past but not at the time of his death as I understand.
