So glad you did this video, Dan! I know a lot of us have been thinking about what is left/possible for Origins, and your video bringing attention to it caries a lot of weight with Mattel. Rio Blast and Two-Bad are definitely at the top of my list. A lot of these missing characters are on the Eternia Playset box so hopefully they keep up their good track record of getting box art figures made (like all those Snakemen and Frog Monger and now Sy-Clone). For vehicles my top pick is the Bashasaurus, a unique looking vehicle with a really fun play feature and could easily be made.

How about Mattel bring in the character designs from Galaxy Warriors, Galaxy Fighters, and other knock-off lines of figures that were made in the same basic style as the original line. Those would make some fun additions to a collection.
I definitely want some giants! And He-Ro & Eldor. I agree Plasmar & Strobo should be in the line. And Gygor?! Yes please! Saurod & Blade definitely need to be done. I’d love a Goat Man too! And Evil Robot finally should be in the line officially
Two Bad is a SDCC exclusive this year. It’s the two characters that make up the character as separate figures in a two pack and there’s a separate torso that fits over them to convert two characters into one.
Hopefully they made plenty & it'll be offered on Creations as well as at the con. If not, hopefully they at least plan to release a standard version on Creations.
I think we’re all but guaranteed He-Ro, Eldor, and anything heavily and repeatedly added to the packaging art. I certainly hope to get a Fright Zone/Slime Pit combo. If Photog doesn’t happen, it’ll be a crime. A CRIME!!!
The addition of the Sun Man characters and figures was an interesting idea. The Turtles of Grayskull and Street Sharks is a great idea. Mattel should add a few more crossover type characters.
I absolutely concur with the idea of "vintage" including the unproduced vintage stuff. He-Ro, Gygor, Photog, Ted Mayer's unproduced Horde concepts, Mark Taylor's rhino centaur dude. "Vintage Plus" as it were.
I wonder how battle bones would work now these days. Any one else noticed. No more carrying cases too for figures. We need a fright zone & Slime pit too. but I am sure one is coming. I noticed too the horde had 2 playsets.
Thank you for bringing up the Princess of Power line. I grew up with the MOTU and recently got a few origins figures before turning my attention to the WWE variants (an indie pro wrestler here, lol). I picked up a She-Ra for myself and my daughter, who has really gotten into the cartoon series. And I was bummed to realize so many characters weren't made into figures (Shadow Weaver and Scorpia are at the top of my list). I hope they do work on the POP line, but in the meantime, I've gotten my little one several POP characters from the Masterverse and Classics line. Great MOTU videos. Keep it up Dan!
Thank you for doing this video! I had been looking at my Origins figures the other day, and began to wonder what’s left! You did all of the work for me lol!
Hey Dan......thank you so much for providing us with all this information on the original MOTU line......some of the figures you talked about I never knew existed. I'll be looking forward to seeing some of these figures in the future in the origins line🙏 Thanks again brother. Great channel man👌👌❤️
“… at the rate they’ve been releasing these on Mattel Creations, it’s gonna take us another four years to finish off the vintage toy line.” Honestly, I’m okay with that. Our wallets need some recovery time! 😅
You have a point, i want all these figures but there is no way i can afford them if they all come out too quickly. My biggest concern is the £9 p&p on MC, it would be ok if i was ordering multiple figures at once but thats a huge cost for a single figure order.
Imagine if they did waves of 4 figures at a time on MC. As long as they weren't all deluxe, it'd be more or less like finding a full wave in stores. They could be shipped together to save us some $ on shipping too.
@@ioncewasmikey Lots of people have remarked that MC doing release of a full wave would benefit people for p&p saving. So far MC sadly havent listened or its not possible todo.
I can remember seeing those laser light Heman and Skeketor and the 2 giants in Italy.... Many many many of them. And eternia was also there (it was in bibione summer vacation.) got it all from there as a kid.
The princess of power figures are probably any part of the cartoon line. That's why I believe the cartoon line is being front-loaded with master the universe figures. The next set of releases will probably be princess of power heavy.
YES to Origins Princess of Power characters and horses!!! I would also love to see more of the vehicles, but I don't think we will. For whatever reason, it seems like fans aren't picking up the vehicles. Look how many are on clearance. I keep buying 70% off BBTS Stridors to customize and army build
I’m a huge 3rd Party Transformer collector as well as MOTU Origins. I used to only buy one of each Origins to keep on the card but since Chinese New Year and Transformers were pretty much at a stop I started buying one more of each to open and display. Within a month I only have about 12 figures left that I need another one of for a loose collection display. Unfortunately I’m kinda getting down to some of the harder to get and more expensive ones. I love this line, but we have so many more to go with characters, vehicles, and a play set or two.
On the note of an attack track, with the turtles having a cross over I think the chances on a show accurate attack track is better, after all can't have the turtles with out a party wagon, so they could do a cross over Party Attack Track. As well as a normal Attack Track. 😁😁
The problem is it needs mechanics and a little engine which increases the costs immensely. And with the weak sales of Origins vehicles stuff like the Dragon Walker will only be possible as crowdfunding on Mattel Creations.
@@melkor2301 I would be fine with them not including the motor, just have the mechanic of the body flipping around by moving the dragon head with your hand. (Dunno how difficult that would be though)
Since I have most of the vintage figures to me the appeal of Origins has been getting ones that weren’t done then in 5.5. There are a few times, though, where I picked up one I have in Vintage so I could actually hold or pose it safely.
If you could tell Mattel to make like 500 more of each Origins figure they release online so people who work during the day can get the figures and not have to pay scalper prices. The last one I was able to get was Grizzlor.
I agree with EVERYTHING you said but one thing. I want ALL of them for Masterverse. But here my one argument. Imagine if the Scale of the Giant was in scale with Masterverse, that would add its size to the Origins line.
They could definitely give us some proper sized giants, if Mother Board is any indicator on the sizes of figures they can make for the existing lines. Both versions of the Attak Trak, were one of the fan vote options...so they've already got ideas for that going. Here's hoping they'll eventually give us all those options they had, maybe the fan vote was used to gauge fan interest and set up priorities on what to do first.
When this line was first released...I LOVED the build and tooling...so much potential is there. We've seen that with not only the MOTU figures, but mattel extended it to also include WWE, Sun-man, and Ninja turtles!! I've even made customs utilizing the parts and bodies...including a Rambo and Conan to name a couple....I was all IN on the origins line.....unfortunately, I've not seen a single figure past the Jitsu/Buzz-off wave in stores....but that was fine, I still had Amazon...but than in came the exclusives...it got to the point that Origins became a pain to collect...and it stopped being fun...
My top wanted: Two-bad, Modulok, Multibot, Dragstor, Rio blast, Blast Attack, Stondar, Laser light He-man and Skeletor and Hurricane Hordak. Slime pit and Battlebones These are the most wanted. 🔥
I wonder if Mattel could do Blast-Attack with a torso that shoots off the head, arms, and waist-down like a Crash Dummy. Could even have the limb connection ports be the same interchangeable ones as the rest of origins.
Hey Dan, thanks for another great video (as you always do). For me, personally, before going into 88´s characters (which I really consider not that exciting/cheap re-use of parts from other characters) and other obscure ones, I´d think of filmation IMPORTANT characters like Shadow Weaver and Princess of Power staples like Bow, Glimmer, Catra, Swift Wind, Scorpia, etc and the new adventures´ figures and vehicles (Slush Head, Quakke, etc). There are tons of characters left that we do want...and Mattel knows it....
They’ve announced some for the origins line that were never made in vintage. Stuff based on concepts or mini comics. I will be content if they continue with this in between the vintage figures and continue to expand the line while they finish the classics. Just not all at once for my wallet’s sake! Looking forward to more vehicles and play sets as well. Gwildor is high on my list with battle bones and the battle ram
A play set I belive is needed but it might come out in the cartoon line is Eternous Place It was never given a toy and it a big part of the universe its the good guys home, Hope they do still keep up on Origins Line.
For Blast attack they could just focus on the armoire and body parts "blasting" off. Kind of feels better blasting off pieces rather than your whole body.
Nice idea for a Video.👍 I already looked it up which figures of the vintageline are still missing. I hope we will get at least the missing figures. I am already into the CARTOON-LINE. Maybe they can go more crazy with this one. Love the first figures so far.
I don't any "Origins" figures, but it would be cool to see the entire vintage line made. As for me, I just want more "Mega Construx" sets. Also, I know they're technically not a 'vintage' character, I would want to see most of the guest characters that were in "Classics", particularly Drago-Man and Sir Laser Lot. They can keep Specter or whatever he was called.
The last figure I asked for as a kid was Tung Lashor, who I think I had to get on Mattel Creations for Origins. I had Two Bad and Modulok, also among my last few figures so those are the last of absolute musts for me.
@@nitro1048 I only saw deluxe figures at stores after the Jitsu/Buzz Off/Sorceress wave (July 2022!) so every figure wave since I had to buy at online retail
We need strong arm, lord masque, and plundor. It's good we are getting geldor from the mini comics to the origins line. I believe he's going to be mattel creations exclusive.
I really want origins to finish what classics couldn't. I want all the vintage MOTU, POP, and NA. I want all the new adventures characters done in origins style. And imagine an origins starship eternia! It would be amazing!
Origins has been incredible. I hope they go into new designs after they complete the vintage series. Necro-Conda is freakin' killer! I want to see more original characters.
It’s been a rumor for quite a while from several sources that Two Bad is indeed coming as a SDCC-exclusive this year (possibly as a multi-pack with Tuvar and Baddrah?) So, it’s likely true. Also heard that Modulok is coming sooner rather than later. Personally, I wouldn’t mind if Mattel releases both of them together in one package as the Megabeast. Might be the only Origins figures I get more than one of (if I remember correctly, I definitely had 2 Moduloks as a kid, it was the one exception my parents made because of the ability to build my own figure with multiples). I think He-Ro, Eldor and Sharella are practically givens at this point as well if the packaging for the Moat Monster and King Grayskull are any indication. They’re using “The Powers of Grayskull” branding after all. I’m surprised that we haven’t gotten Catra in Origins at the very least. She was the only other PoP figure I had growing up. Getting more Princess of Power would be awesome. I mean, they’ve been releasing them for Masterverse, so why can’t they for Origins, right? Lastly, I would really like to see some of the New Adventures figures make it to Origins at some point. I appreciate that era a LOT more now than I did in the early 90s! It would be interesting to have some of those figures in the Origins style. And yeah, I really want Fearless Photog!!! ~Damon
Slightly disagree with the giant size, I respect the choice, and like you said you want people to get the version they want, but I’d like the giants to be Andre/Krang size. Better for shelf space. So many figs lol! But I’ll be chill if I don’t get my choice.
Was it Funko that made some Savage World of DC figures (They looked like DC characters in MOTU style). Those designs would be great with the MOTU Origins articulation. They would make fun monsters and warriors to add to a display or diorama.
Queen Marlena is the most important character that needs to be made to complete the royal family. We should get her in the animation line, but she might have a different body to the females in origins.

How about Mattel bring in the character designs from Galaxy Warriors, Galaxy Fighters, and other knock-off lines of figures that were made in the same basic style as the original line.
Those would make some fun additions to a collection.
Although they released She-Ra in Origins, my guess would be they will probably leave PotP characters for the Filmation line (and Masterverse PotP).
Dragon Walker, Attak Trak and Battle ram would be awesome.
How do you know this?
@@geoffmarker9799 A product SKU was discovered
Hopefully they made plenty & it'll be offered on Creations as well as at the con. If not, hopefully they at least plan to release a standard version on Creations.
What happened to NIGHT STALKER? They announced it over a year ago, but no more mention of it.
These looks awesome great vid Dan looking forward to your first whatnot 👍
I absolutely concur with the idea of "vintage" including the unproduced vintage stuff. He-Ro, Gygor, Photog, Ted Mayer's unproduced Horde concepts, Mark Taylor's rhino centaur dude. "Vintage Plus" as it were.
Horde Prime. You could make him like the classics version or something completely different. He could be in Origins or Cartoon collection.
Great channel man👌👌❤️
I like that colorful survival tinder .
Great video!!!! But my most favorite thing is your shirt!!!!!! That print lives forever in my mind
“… at the rate they’ve been releasing these on Mattel Creations, it’s gonna take us another four years to finish off the vintage toy line.”
Honestly, I’m okay with that.
The way I look at it yeah 4 years but that's 4 more years this line is alive for and who knows what else we might get in that time
@@ioncewasmikey Lots of people have remarked that MC doing release of a full wave would benefit people for p&p saving.
This just got me interested again into the line thank you!
The gigantasaurus
Finish the story Mattel!
I will be more than happy if the line continued for another 4 years🎉
On the note of an attack track, with the turtles having a cross over I think the chances on a show accurate attack track is better, after all can't have the turtles with out a party wagon, so they could do a cross over Party Attack Track. As well as a normal Attack Track. 😁😁
Necroconda is new but I’m very excited for him & the other upcoming additions to the Snake Men
Bashosaurus, was awesome. Dragon walker. Spidor, there are several vehicles. I also wished they would make the origins weapons packs.
What, no ♥ for the Dragon Walker? 😝 I mean, no joke, I'd totally buy one! 😍
Dragon Walker was the badass-est vehicle of all. I wish I had a life-size version to drive when commuting to work
Since I have most of the vintage figures to me the appeal of Origins has been getting ones that weren’t done then in 5.5. There are a few times, though, where I picked up one I have in Vintage so I could actually hold or pose it safely.
The Fright Fighter is my #1 want from Origins before it ends. Also Lodar, Icer, and Shikoti.
Toy federation just featured cliff climber, tower tools, and aquattack on their channel and my immediate thought was they need origins versions!
Bandai is doing transforming egg Godzilla figures this year so that's a funny call back
My top wanted: Two-bad, Modulok, Multibot, Dragstor, Rio blast, Blast Attack, Stondar, Laser light He-man and Skeletor and Hurricane Hordak.
Slime pit and Battlebones
These are the most wanted. 🔥
I would never. NEVER forget Dragstor.
I wonder if Mattel could do Blast-Attack with a torso that shoots off the head, arms, and waist-down like a Crash Dummy. Could even have the limb connection ports be the same interchangeable ones as the rest of origins.
SPYDOR vehicle
I think the meteorbs would have to be a Mattel creations exclusive if they were made.
oh please. Get into ALL of the concept characters and figures.
That would be a lot of fun. (time: 21:20)
Hey Dan, thanks for another great video (as you always do).
Slime Pit and Fright Zone should be in the same PlaySet combined … and may be include some Doom Tower parts
Nice idea for a Video.👍 I already looked it up which figures of the vintageline are still missing. I hope we will get at least the missing figures. I am already into the CARTOON-LINE. Maybe they can go more crazy with this one. Love the first figures so far.
I want a new Skeletor with that heavy robe he sometimes wore in the vintage mini-comics.
I know one guy from the Org that wants the Meteorbs 😊❤ Personally I think they should!
Gygor, yes! Castle Grayskullman too. 👍👍
Your list was perfect.
I want the rest of the horde figures and playsets first and hope we will see some at the next Con
It is possible to remove attachment on Trap Jaw cyborg arm, making it shorter for a laser rifle.
~Damon
What about the New Adventures figures? Those would be awesome in the Origins style, rather than the style we got in the 90s.
We've had SunMan now we need Fuerza T all the characters plus the unreleased ones
I’m down for Gygor, absolutely.
Slightly disagree with the giant size, I respect the choice, and like you said you want people to get the version they want, but I’d like the giants to be Andre/Krang size. Better for shelf space. So many figs lol! But I’ll be chill if I don’t get my choice.
I would buy some meteors, mainly because of you. If Mattel doesn’t there’s always eBay
I’m waiting on laser heman and skeletor
Was it Funko that made some Savage World of DC figures (They looked like DC characters in MOTU style).
Those designs would be great with the MOTU Origins articulation.
They would make fun monsters and warriors to add to a display or diorama.
Queen Marlena is the most important character that needs to be made to complete the royal family. We should get her in the animation line, but she might have a different body to the females in origins.
