Hey! Trap Jaw! So messing with him more, I realized that you can remove the elbow section of his mechanical arm and plug the blaster directly into the shoulder! I'm so bummed I missed this for the video! 🤦♂️ But this makes him much .ore accurate, and I love it! The Jaw on mine still won't move, though. Some folks have told me the Jaw should move fine. I may need to try warming it up, but mine feels very stuck in place. 🤷♂️ Either way, I wish I'd have figured out the arm before shooting. I'll post pics on my socials and maybe do an update next Saturday. Have a great weekend, all!
Oh also just a side note I reviewed both Trap-jaw and merman together mainly because they’re the only toon line figures I have so far but I showcase the different card back from the US and the European release we have here
That's great! Glad to hear that! Also, on your question, MOTU for a few weeks in a row wouldn't bother me, haha. 😉😂 Also, is there a Pixel Dan list of bucket list vintage toy stores/shows? That could be a fun product, and maybe some stores would sponsor you to be on your list? There is a lot of info for shows online, but without PowerCon this year, I am hoping for something MOTU-heavy.
I absolutely adore the Origins Cartoon collection. I have three of the four in this video. Just don't have Stratus. Love Teela but sadly my robot and shield have gone missing. It's a pitty you can't buy accessories packs. Mer-man is just amazing. I love the Trapjaw figure. I don't know what it is about them but I just love this line. Thank you for the reviews Pixel Dan.
Thanks again, Dan, great video. The Super 7 Mer-man color seems to be the most Filmation accurate, looking at the cartoon? Extendar - Frustrates me to see how good the front of card artwork of the figure looks. I wish we could get this artwork on the front of the other cards, like Slamurai, Eternia Goddess, Lord Gr'asp, as it gives the card fronts that extra punch. Might also have helped sell more figures at retail too?
The filmation stuff is looking really good. As for what you should cover - whatever you are excited about! Your enthusiasm comes through in the videos, so give us what feels good to cover that particular week - and ty!
I imagine that sword for Teela is super soft because of how pointy it is. Even if it was molded in the same plastic as the accessories from other/previous figures, it might be a little too dangerous for kids.
I'm on the fence about getting more of the animation origins figures. Not that I don't like them, I actually would like to go full completionism on them. But right now my wallet doth protest, haha. Very happy to see Dragstor teased. He's to me what Mosquitor is to Pixeldan
30:45 I think we should be fine Dan, mostly because the Origins Extendar's gold arms are molded in swirled gold PVC plastic and the vintage Extendar had his pearlescent PVC hands painted gold. I bought my friend's vintage Extendar from him in High School back in the 90's and one hand had turned green and the paint peeled off up to his elbow. So I think this new version finally eliminated that potential issue.
The comic for Extendar has an actual image from the original comic in it. And they tease an evil version of Extendar at the end. Looking like a Horde soldier.
Mix up the reviews Dan. Most of the joy I get from your videos is seeing your excitement. I personally love the MOTU & TMNT stuff you do, but if there's new or different things you want to show us along with that, go ahead.
Thanks for the flip through the Extendar mini-comic he’s a character I always thought looked cool but i knew next to nothing about him! So finding out his backstory is basically Kamen Rider’s backstory is awesome and now im sad i missed out on him cause he’d look great in my Kamen Rider collection
I was really tempted by the Cartoon Collection, but Super7’s retros are still the ones in my collection - they just feel more like the vintage ones to me. I hope we’ll get guys that Super7 didn’t get to, especially PoP. Great to get a fresh Extendar though!
Fun thing about Extendar. He's the first figure we can swap the hands and feet with, since they use the same pegs for the extension parts for his action feature.
Extendar has always been one of my favorites. I was super happy to get my new one, he's fantastic. I really liked the story about him and Dragstor's origins with Hordak's experiments so I can't wait until we get Dragstor as well but I fear that we sadly won't get his action feature.
Another major problem with "exclusives" is that they are so limited. What if the action figure breaks? How can people get a replacement if they are all sold out? These limited "exclusives" are simply no fun and no good.
@@AintNobodyAtAll Most of the time, at least in my area, the shelves and pegs are completely empty. I don't see how anything ever has a chance to go on clearance. The emplty shelves and pegs prevent the possibility of new fans, collectors, and customers from spending money on the products.

OMG. The Trap Jaw references one of the episodes me and my friends quote all the time because of the silliest lines ever "Only magical creatures like Trap Jaw can eat rocks!"
Mine came shipped to the UK just in that mailer box, luckily it never got any damage. I wasn't a fan of him as a kid but now I think he's cool and I love his artwork on the back of the card
I really dig the origins/cartoon Stratos more than the others. To be honest, I saw Stratos at Wal Mart once and got him. Glad I did because unlike Magic Mike Stratos he has become hard to find. As for the rest I do think Mattel knocked these out of the park. Can’t wait to see more. Thanks for taking the time to review this line and look forward to seeing more from you.
You didn't unfold Extendar's shield all the way. The large square part can fold out too, doubling it in size. I would also recommend putting it on his left hand, so that he can hold it properly in the extended form.
How are you doing, Pixel Dan? Wow! All of those MOTU Figures looked Absolutely Magnificent! I love the Detailing and Designed on those Figs. Amazing Toys Reviewing, Friend. Great Awesome Video as always! 😎😎😎👍👍
Another great review! As for future video topics, I’d personally love to hear you talk about anything and everything toy related new or old. Your appeal is your personality and excitement, so as long as you got that everyone will watch!! Much love!!
I’m selective on the cartoon line (Teela, and Stratos, Beastman and gifted Skeletor from Mr. Home Arcade) only getting what I need for some holes. But he works perfectly in my Origins collection display along with two of the naked Stratos’ - remember the other Avian warriors were skin color? I never had Extendar, but he is an impressive figure one of my new Favs 🎉
My version of the mailerboxes of Sy-Klone and Rokkon also didn´t have any arts of the figures on them. The last figure i got which came in a boxart mailerbox was He-Skeletor.
Origins Extendar blew me away .. such a fantastic figure! Perfect update of the original and he is one of the very few examples where Origins actually wins over Classics. Mer-Man - the Cartoon Collection figure is fun and I love the Pearl accessory, but does anyone else feel the head sculpt is a bit off? The best head sculpt is Classics and, ironically, the most accurate color to Filmation is Super 7's. It doesn't seem so while lining the figures up, but after watching "Teela's Quest" today, I believe it is. Speaking of that episode, it's not only Mer-Man's best episode but one of the best episodes of the series. So the Crimson Pearl staff packaged withe the neo-vintage Mer-Man is one of my favorite Mer-Man accessories ever and wish it was included with the Cartoon Collection Mer-Man as well. 😊
The ideal Masters of the Universe cartoon would bring ALL the characters together (New Adventures, Princess of Power, etc.).... and have stories like the original and 200X series (classic story telling mixed with more action oriented stories from 200X)... with animation style like the original rotosciping and a little extra flair like the 200X series. I was mad I had to get an Extendar off eBay at twice the price. I never got an email notification that he was going on sale so I didn't even hear about it until 12 hours after it ended.
Do Extendor's arm extensions go on his legs, to double up the extension on his legs, and vice versa for his leg extensions? Buying multiple Extendor's would give him extra long legs/arms, but the rest of his extensions could not be doubled up I think!
I really wish trap jaw had come with the fly swatter or energy bow. And read your comment about him above so that’s cool.(I picked up 1) I think merman fig is good but the likeness in the face isn’t as good as the others. Same with stratos.
