Problem was, he was never in a team in f1 that truly valued him and red bull should've been more aware of the implications of booting him so young

The "torpedo" incident in china was Vettal's fault if anyone bothered to check the replay.

@@f1resort204 The torpedo comment came at Chinese GP, where Vettal steered into Kimi tagging Kimi's front wheel and spun into Kyvat. I think that's pretty clear. If anything it's the Ferrarri's at fault and Kyvat just happened to past by and got hit by a spinning Vettal.

Yeah probably, no one, ever bothered to check a "replay" of that.
If you look and watch carefully, vettel had no where to go, either to get sandwich by both kimi and torpedo can cause a massive crash, hit torpedo while diving for some reason and cause a massive crash.
He was simply not making the corner with that speed, that was fully intended to divebomb and cut off anyone. There's no racing line concievable when everyone's slowing down where you can carry that speed and make the corner, which gets slower and slower until it turns left. It was a fully intended divebomb.
6:31 Daniil Kvyat came 2nd in the LMP2 class at the 2023 1000 Miles of Sebring in the FIA World Endurance Championship. Which was his only podium of the year. He finished the season in 9th place in the category for LMP2 drivers with 63 points.
1:20 Funnily enough, Oscar Piastri was a grid kid at that race for Daniil Kvyat.
Also Kvyat didn't breakdown on the formation lap. It was on the out lap BEFORE the formation lap.
Max took bascially his entire life lol. Thats what happened.
thanks for this video! Kvyat is my absolut favourite driver! i despise how they treated him. his story is a really tragic one. i really hope he can be competitive in FE or maybe get antoher chance in f1 with another team.

Seb loved Michael and Verstappens are family friends with Schumachers, Seb doesn't hate Max.
@@MartinWasTaken I'm sure all is fine now but there was a LOT of frustration from Seb about Max when Max got in the RB.
Max, I'd think. Kvyat was a hazard on the road, sure, but that was during the peak of Merc's dominance. Max, while (moderately) less volatile, was a much faster and better wheelman than Daniil AND started getting up to pace right when Seb was fighting for titles for the Scuderia

I'm convinced that if Red Bull had promoted Kvyat, not Albon, to partner Verstappen...Kvyat would still be there and would be a more consistent and successful number 2 than Perez.

I think if kvyat went back to red bull in 2019 instead of Albon and red bull showed that they believed in him and he was guaranteed the rest of 2019 and 2020 then I think he would have done better than Albon did I still think red bull go for Perez in 2021 and replace him but after doing solid at red bull I think he gets a 2 year deal at a mid pack team and would still be on the grid today probably at Williams or haas

the problem wasn't his skill, it was due to his gung ho/maverick mindset and his ability to consistently follow team race strategies. this is not yet including the countless FIA penalties he imposed on the teams he drove for.. He is fast no question, but he became a liability based on track records on his overall career far more than the additional value he could bring onto the team

Kvyatt was preferd more than Sainz it was Antonio Felix da Costa, who originally was the enter to toro rosso, how ever due to russia interest in having a russian driver on russian GP they pick him instead
He was a good driver but had the bad fortunate of being in the way of an inevitable Max Verstappen

Not a huge loss imho, with all due respect etc and not trying to be political, the guy was literally _a Russian sportsman_ (showing severe lack of respect for his peers) and the fact that he was a good driver simply wasn't enough to counter that behavior. Hope he has fun in Formula E and that Formula E gets some more attention so he can be famous there, if he can just respect the others on the track a little more he'll be fine & still have an amazing racing career.
