My 2012 5.7 awd 300s only got up to 129 and the governor kicked in, couldn't even get 131, I did get high performance tires rated up to 168, I would love to get a tune and take off the governor
Tunes dont always take off the limiter. Most raise it. Again, for legal liability reason. Every 97-04 Dakota was limited to 98mph for tires, the Superchips limiter raises it to 114. Just shy under that 118mph T rating which the last set of Wranglers I had on it were T rated.

I just bought a brand new final 300C 23’ and that 392 sounds so good and really should’ve been offered 15-22, I would’ve loved a Hellcat version and would’ve been one of the first to order if it was available. It’s crazy how they electronically limited it to just 160 when the SRT from 12-14’ had 3 less gears and 15 less HP & was drag limited 🤷🏾♂️

2.7 v6 2005 to 130-135 just one time ( families not my daily mine's a 60's charger, anyways i try not to drive gramps/cop-type car's as i get into trouble/stupidity with them ) nowadays i wouldn't go past 60-90mph as it's got a wreck'd/rebuild history from getting rear-ended sitting at a light as the driver was texting/distracted and 50mph~slammer yes the vin is/was probably a tan/gold hurtz rental or under cover cop car 1st in Arizona metro-phoenix

quick exclaimer here, european models DID have limiters, generally at 250 km/h or 155mp/h, since we don't use such a convolutedly pointless tiresystem, the factory usually puts on the best tire for the job and for best specs right from the factorywith the limiter simply because that is the speed legal limit on the fastest limi ted sections of the autobahn.
@paulvolkmann2979 just fyi, the Motown Edition is no different to any other V6 with the 8-speed. There aren’t any power upgrades on the car, it’s the identical engine and performance to the 3.6L 8-speed shown in the video.
The 2.7 was a failure and never should have ended up in such a large car. Too big to be fuel efficient but too small to be powerful. The worst of both worlds. Plus mediocre reliability at best
After what distances for those top speed runs? Over a mile, 2 miles or half the county? Between gearing and if its an older model with a 4 or 5spd auto... FYI unlimited theoretical top speed of my Dakota is 202mph at 6000rpm in 5th with the 3.55 gear. Where 2nd runs out at 71mph at 5400rpm, stock governor hit at 98mph. Though at the time took roughly a mile to hit that due to the long gearing.

The Challenger Hellcat Redeye, CTS-V, BMW M Series, Mercedes AMGs, most things Porsche, and other stock vehicles are pretty close in terms of acceleration to Tesla’s fastest model, the Plaid S. But if you like driving a car that looks like it’s pregnant or a mini van crossover, it’s your prerogative. God damn they’re ugly.

My Chinese car is better than dodge or Chrysler it has a really cool design, consumes less fuel and has never had such problems with automatic windows

Drag limit is a lie on the 2023. Its electronically limited to 160. I have one and the car had more rmp to go when hitting 160.
Same with my 5.7 i could be going 100+ cruising and it would shift to six and just limp when it gets to 130. So imagine shifting thru 7-8.

The 2023 300C has a limiter on it at 160. It is not drag limited to 160 as the earlier ones with less power and gears broke 170
Used to drive for dollar rent a car in 2005 an top out the Chrysler 300 3.5 v6 got it about 147 mph so I guess the dollar rental had no limiter 😂😂

The 3.6L's were tested in sport mode which prevents the transmission from shifting into 8th gear. I'd like to see it tested in normal mode.

I can confirm a stock '06 300C is speed limited to 126 mph.
