My dad and step dad always made me fix my own vehicles, although I hated it at the time, it turned out to be the most valuable life lesson, because everyone wants a car, but not everyone can work on them.
It amazes me when people say they can't change oil....I think in my head "BS, either you can't, just unwilling to learn or feel it's beneath you" because if that same person can cook easy mac then they can change their oil, roughly same amount of steps. 😆
My fathers friend had one of the first 300C in the Netherlands with the V8 Hemi engine. I remember my friend taking the car when his parent went asleep, we pushed the car with 3 man of the driveway, to start the engine 200 meters further. We where like 15 years old and overhere you need to be 18 for your license. The sound of the V8 was so impressive to me i would never forget that night and the people staring at us when we where at Mcdonalds. Now i am looking for my own 300C and ofcourse one with a V8 Hemi.
That's awesome! I happen to really like these vehicles, but for whatever reason my wife can't stand them 😂 So I don't think I'll ever have one to keep, but something about the styling always spoke to me.
My sixteen year old son likes chargers and challengers. He sparked my interest in these cars as well and this paved the way to a closer relationship in a somewhat challenging world for teenagers. I purchased my first charger RT this past year which was exciting for the both of us. My son participated in negotiated the deal and help me take delivery. It was good for him to experience the car buying process and business which is not taught in high school. That is how my interest took off. We enjoy Mopars and have been to the track several times.
Owning my first vehicle really initiated my interest in cars. I would help my father do maintenance on his quite a bit. Wish I would have shown more interest from the beginning to have known more sooner. Now my husband is kind enough and patient enough to let me help and explain. It's intriguing and I never stop wanting to learn more. Really enjoy your videos!!
My dad always had me working on cars since I was about 5. It was always brake jobs or little things on his Impala SS or my mothers Charger RT even my grandfathers Corvette. I started to them take interest in cars, especially muscle cars. This is how I got passionate into cars

in 2008, I bought a, 2009 Dodge Charger RT. in 2009, I bought a 2006 Chrysler 300C for my wife which had just 37k miles on it. the 300C was her favorite car since and I'll be honest, I do miss the 300C more then the Charger RT. i mean, they are the exact same vehicle, except for the body and wheels, but still. lol the 300C had and has the higher class/quality look
for the 6 out of 9 vehicles I've owned, I used the Flowmaster Super 40 series exhaust system. at idle it isn't super loud, but when you Rev it or get on it when driving, that is when it yells with that old school muscle car sound (in my opinion) then at cruise speed, it would have a nice good sounding light rumble. my trucks used the 3 inch pipes and the cars used the 2.5 inch or also 3 inch. I can't remember. pretty sure 3 inch as well. not sure why I might be thinking 2.5 inch ha.
I bought a 06' heritage 300 last year and have enjoying the "grandpa-ness" of it, btw I am a granddad. I been thinking about going louder and lower, so i was very excited to see recently uploaded videos on just that. Your instruction is top notch, these are 2 projects I wouldn't hesitate to try. Hope you continue to upgrade the 300 in the future.
That's awesome Chris! I'd like to see it if you do end up modifying it, these cars almost look wrong without 20" wheels on them. Thanks for the compliments and I hope you stick around to see some of my other projects as well. 👍
I had an 07 300 and they are just great cars all around with the Hemi. Check out Blastin Bobs pipes if you want great sound without spending much money. I had the 7db kit and it sounded great, but didnt have much drone during cruising
I grew up watching my uncles fix and build cars and I've just have always been found or cars over my life I've had good fortune of learning from some very talented people as your self, I was a track and wheel vehicle mechanic for the Arny for 6years and when I got out the military I went back to school to learn other aspects of automobile repair and modification, I was just given a 06 300c the engine has thrown rod it black the body is in great shape, I plan to do as much as I can my self ,being a disabled veteran my fixed income resources are very, so maybe some one will donate some of the things I need ,thank for all you have taught me watching your videos, thanks and I'll be watching and learning from you 👍
I grew up with our dad teaching us how to maintain, diagnose, fix and repair our vehicles. Not just to save money but also to be more self sufficient. As a result growing up I really enjoyed anything that moved under it’s own power and if something broke or needed more power or other improvement while at times stressful was, and still is rewarding to take care of it ourselves. I like seeing things do what their designed to do and pushing them near their limits. I currently drive a 06 6.0 f250 crew cab long bed 4x4. This is my work, tow, and play vehicle it’s had a hard life but is well maintained and runs strong I’d never be able to afford it if I didn’t work on my own stuff and have saved thousands of dollars doing my own repairs and modifications. Really enjoy your videos even if they don’t apply to what I have it’s a good learning experience and maybe I can help someone else. Far as video ideas anything diesel, 4x4, or fast.
Now if you’ll excuse me I gotta install a camshaft sensor in my 6.0 so it will well go again 😔. Never said it was reliable but when it runs so much fun!!
When you are doing this by yourself, try bungee cords to hold the thing up temporarily. It will make fighting this thing off so much easier... especially if you are laying on your back in a driveway!
I installed the factory cat back exhaust from my '12 Challenger on our '14 300C, used two 4" spacers and had 2 extra clamps, bolted right up like stock and has that nasty hemi rumble at idle, pretty quiet when driving it and the 2.5" exhaust tubing really woke it up(stock is 2.25"). Had to shut off MDS with my tuner tool as the drone was very noticeable when it would come on, no more drone and runs great, and hauls a$$! Also cost me a total of 8 bucks for 2 ea. 2.5" ID extensions at the auto parts store. Great video for someone who is contemplating a cat back exhaust upgrade! I'd use some anti-seize on the ends of the factory mid pipes to facilitate installation, and make it easier if you ever need to remove it again.
Personally, I really like the sound of the 2013 SRT8 exhaust 2.5” cat back. I installed this on my 2008 5.7. Chrysler 300 C. Had to make a small sleeve too connect to the stock 2” exhaust. It sounds very deep and throaty. It was amazing how good it fit!
If you can repurpose factory parts like that it's definitely the best option! The factories spend so much money getting those parts just right, and I agree they do sound great! 👍
Just earned a sub from me! This is my first muscle car. I do have flowmasters on my 5.7 I’m so glad i found your channel because the 300 is so overshadowed by its charger cousin !
A 72 chevelle when I was like 10, That was the first time I heard a v 8 and got hooked. I am pretty sure you gave the piston away by now, I just want it to share my experience. And by the way that chevelle was a new car when I was a kid, I am old. Great video.
I’ve always liked taking things apart to and putting them back together to better understand how things work. And I’ve always preferred fixing things myself instead of paying someone else. I’d say I really got into cars when I got my first. A 1986 FJ60 Toyota Land Cruiser. It’s old and rusty but with regular maintenance I learned from various family members, the internet, and the car manual itself it’s more reliable than the 2006 Ford Escape that we had. My land cruiser doesn’t get much drive time nowadays but hopefully I can learn just enough to swap the frame and replace the leaf springs before next fall.
I’d love to have that messed up piston! Nobody in my family has ever really been big on cars, and neither was I until I got one. As soon as I got one though, I got to work tearing into it. I dove straight into replacing my rear wheel bearings and suspension after never having worked on a car in my life. That was a serious challenge and there were plenty of times where I thought I had completely screwed myself and my car would never be drivable again. I must say though, the feeling of accomplishment after every project I finish I totally worth it though. Now I’ve got my own dirt bike and am in the process of buying my first truck as well!! It’s so exciting to have my own little fleet of vehicles. I’m also currently going to college for automotive technology which I never thought I would, but here I am. Cars really are my passion and I just figured I’d share my story online because I’ve never told anyone how I really got started :-)
Love it, this is exactly what I'm looking to hear! We need more new blood in this industry for sure. I remember that exact same feeling when I was 15, I bought a VW bug, took it completely apart and then thought, "How am I ever going to put it back together again?" 😂 Great job!

I bought my first car @ 15 for $15, a 65 Nova. It had a 6 banger with a rod through the block. I pulled it out and built a 283 (60 over) with domed pistons, a solid cam, and, did my own 3 angle valve job (big back then:). Found a Munci M21 and a 456 rear end. Added an aluminum high rise with a holley 650, headers and then got into all kinds of trouble. I used to go to the court house on Fridays to pay my tickets..LOL. I also built a Vega, and an El Camino years ago, and today have a Hemi Charger in the driveway and a Hellcat Challenger in the garage.
Simple longtubes straigt pipes with hi flow cats and just the resonators and the sound is awesome and lot of hp gains to did that to my Awd 5,7l 300c 2005 works like bat out of hell
I been going through a rewatching yor videos. I recently did a 3in catless mid pipe through a 2.25 Hpipe flowmaster super 40s 2.25 pipe dumped into 4 inch tips an 😱 i love it with my thumpr cam. As close to old school muscle sound as I'm gonna get. 🤘🤘🤘
The part-shipping is now gone but my interest in cars was brought to me by my sister who seemed to love them back in the day. Now she likes them but not that hell of a lot. I am the car guy of the family that wants to Supercharge his V8 (and the only crazy enough to have a V8 in his garage). And I have also a question: How can I make this car have a little more like a burbling sound? I saw a Challenger have that only by doing a resonator delete, but these ones sound a bit different when doing that. Would it need a completely new catback and headers?
Did you reinstall the crossmember? I just install a complete Magna Flow exhaust and it will not go back due to size of pipes. I just ordered a custom cam setup and Jay Greene tune. summer is going to be fun. I also tried lowering the front of my AWD and there is no kit. I was able to level the car with 1 1/2 rear lowering setup from eibach. Videos are great.
I did reinstall the crossmember, but honestly its not that important, the metal is pretty flimsy I doubt its doing much. That sounds like a fun project you've got, shoot me a picture when its all done 👍
Oh man automobiles wasn’t just a passion it was more like a way for me to express myself and get through my problems and me and my father had a special bond and when he passed I never got the chance to have his car bc it was crushed so before it’s my time to go I will make sure I have the exact make model color and mods he had on his truck that’s my mission
I have always been muscle car guy. I'm 79 now but still own my 1969 L46 Corvette which I purchased new. Its getting hard for me to drive it it now but being still I am a muscle car enthusiast, I purchased a 2023 Chrysler 300C. You may or may not know about thia vehicle but only 2000 were made for the US. I just had to have one and I love it. Check it out. Armen
My passion about cars has been since I was a kid my dad owned exotic cars that I remember my uncles worked on cars being master mechanics so my passion goes from there I started to work on cars myself i just enjoyed finding the problem and fixing it it was my dopamine 🙏
I was browsing through Hemi videos and found yours very entertaining and full of great advice. If you have time I'm hoping you can and a question. My son owns a 2008 Chrysler 300c 5.7 with 67k miles and it always seems to run a bit hot normally around 208 degrees, is that normal. The car has no mods except for a cold air intake, Thanks for the great videos.
After I owned my first car my 2008 Dodge Charger SRT8 I didn’t kno what I had I just thought it looked cool. And the more I’d robe it the more I wanted to know about it started watching donut media and any other car review /performance videos I just love cars and anything cars from the culture to racing to even car designs
I’ve always just deleted mufflers and resonators. But I’m after the loudest possible impact and popping crackle after burn. In my wife’s 2017 challenger rt I think I’ll leave the resonators and just delete the mufflers for her sanity’s sake
Quick question. I want to try and add the same exhaust but I"m afraid of droning especially when MDS kicks on. How has your experience been with the exhaust and droning???
Does this exhaust system resume or drone really bad inside the car when you're accelerating moderately but not hard I have a flowmaster system on my car and it sucks so would you please let me know if it drones really bad inside the car
It's not too bad until you hit about 65+mph, then it's truly awful 😄 The only way I could live with it is by removing the MDS system. If it stays in 8cyl mode it's not too bad.
Thanks for another informative and concise video ! Would you see any benefits to adding this system to an '07 - 5.7 Hemi in a PowerWagon and would you recommend it ? (fuel economy or any other benefit other than looks or sound)
I remember riding in one of those back when they first came out. They were using them as the pace cars for the Coronado vintage speed festival races. They were taking spectators around the course. It was so quiet lol, def needed a cat back like this to open it up a bit. 👍
Will a muffler from a Diesel engine work the for a gas engine? My FJ60’s muffler is a bit busted but I’ve got a muffler from a BJ60 in pretty decent shape and wondering if there’s a difference.
I got a mint 300c awd 5.7 to buy, only problem is that the engine had to be replaced, according to the owner. Should that be a red flag, or is it actually a positive to have a brand new engine, even though the old one had to die for some reason (hope that reason isn’t still present in the rest of the car that didn’t get replaced…)
It does sound fantastic, but I caution you: if you're not planning on turning off the MDS system don't do it. Basically any aftermarket exhaust drones horrifically when MDS kicks in.
Do the bullets have to slide all the way onto the pipes or just a little bit? I'm having issues with one exhaust tip angles to the left hitting my bumper
I've had much more time with the car at this point. Up to 65 mph it's not an issue, 70mph and above especially when it drops into 4 cylinder mode..... Its quite terrible 😂
Unfortunately this setup is only designed to fit the Hemi powered vehicles, and the pre-2009 models at that. Honestly I don't think an exhaust like this sounds very good on a v6 engine, they just end up sounding obnoxious in my opinion. As far as legality, I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't pass inspection since it doesn't affect anything emissions wise, but who knows with California?
@@ReignitedAuto Hahaha definitely there’s no telling with California & thank you for the advice regarding this kit with my car, so beefing up the exhaust wouldn’t help deepen the sound of my engine at all? Wow that sucks lol
I have a question for you hopefully you can give me some in site. I have a 2018 Dodge Charger I was think of getting a stroker kit. What do you recommend if it’s just going to be for the street weekend car, and do the cylinders need to be bored? Any help would be great thanks.
I don't have any direct experience with a stroker kit. I think it would be cool, and the extra torque would be nice, but I think for the same money you could upgrade your 5.7 significantly and realize similar gains in power. Cylinders shouldn't need to be done unless there's been an issue with blow-by, which I doubt.
@@ReignitedAuto Thank you for the information. I really appreciate you reply back. Really enjoy watching your videos on pulling the engine piece by piece. I really want to try and pull the motor and do the mods myself. Just a little intimidated to take on that task. You made it look easy haha. Thanks again
That would definitely be more dramatic, but also more expensive, you'll see in the next video on Thursday which direction I went 👍 thanks for watching!
@@ReignitedAuto awesome man appreciate the reply, I currently have gutted cats and replaced the stock mufflers with super 40s and just pipe all the way back. It sounds good but I'm looking for something different
I've got a 2009 300c awd. Been a great car except the leather seats dont last. They cracked to shit after a few years. All those cat back kits are way overpriced for what you get. If the stock exhaust is still good just rip out the suitcase muffler and clamp a couple feet of straight pipe in its place. Would sound basically the same for way cheap. Like 20 bucks worth of pipe and clamps.
My dad had a chrysler 300 2005 and 7 years later we had we bought a nissan rouge 2017 sl well we selled the chrysler funny because the car sounded like a big rig and we drove around it was mad loud if you had it nahhhh it sounds like a truck

I'm getting myself a set, butt my 300c is SRT, and the sound is much better. I had the same set up on my 04 Mustang Mach1, and the sound was sick ❤❤❤
I like it , i built my 2005 my self . And she stands the way I wanted
I definitely like these cars, probably going to build another one soon, with much more power 👍
That sounds like a fun project you've got, shoot me a picture when its all done 👍
what cam did you go with. And how much did the tune cost?
@@egrayy9500I went with a custom cam, I'm in about $3500 with everything. Cam, lifters, heads are getting some work.
Let us know how that goes brother, would love to see how it turns out
Oh man automobiles wasn’t just a passion it was more like a way for me to express myself and get through my problems and me and my father had a special bond and when he passed I never got the chance to have his car bc it was crushed so before it’s my time to go I will make sure I have the exact make model color and mods he had on his truck that’s my mission
Awesome! I hope you get there, connections to our family are always the best reasons 👍
I love your videos, especially on the 300. I have 2013 model, that’s getting another engine as well.
2013 new engine already?? Is it by your choice??
I have always been muscle car guy. I'm 79 now but still own my 1969 L46 Corvette which I purchased new. Its getting hard for me to drive it it now but being still I am a muscle car enthusiast, I purchased a 2023 Chrysler 300C. You may or may not know about thia vehicle but only 2000 were made for the US. I just had to have one and I love it. Check it out.

My passion about cars has been since I was a kid my dad owned exotic cars that I remember my uncles worked on cars being master mechanics so my passion goes from there I started to work on cars myself i just enjoyed finding the problem and fixing it it was my dopamine 🙏
There's a real satisfaction to it: It was broken, and you fixed it! I feel the same. Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching! 👍
did i miss it or was their no video of what it sounded like after the changes
I love the throaty sound at low speeds and when you punch it, however the drone sound cruising is little much. That would drive me nuts.
Too right, the drone when it drops into MDS mode is pretty much unbearable.
I have a question I set my timing and replaced the camshaft put everything back on and now it turns over but won’t start did I do something wrong
208 is the stock thermostat temp so it's operating correctly 👍
Sweet bro that 5.7 sounds good 👌🏻
Appreciate it 👍 like the original SRT8, don't see many of those anymore.
What would that system set you back finacially? It sounds just right for me.
I thought it was a little more expensive than it should have been. I've got a link in the video description, but it's basically $600
Good job on the series. Thank you for posting.
Thanks man I appreciate you watching!
Okay For My 2006 Chrysler 5.7 Hemi It Won’t Crank Up Can The Computer System Make It Not Crank Up?
After I owned my first car my 2008 Dodge Charger SRT8 I didn’t kno what I had I just thought it looked cool. And the more I’d robe it the more I wanted to know about it started watching donut media and any other car review /performance videos I just love cars and anything cars from the culture to racing to even car designs
That's a sweet first car!
Keep going bro i got a 2012 chrystler i want to work on and you videos help alot.
I’ve always just deleted mufflers and resonators. But I’m after the loudest possible impact and popping crackle after burn. In my wife’s 2017 challenger rt I think I’ll leave the resonators and just delete the mufflers for her sanity’s sake
Good video man. What state is this in because in California it's not allowed change your exhaust from frome factory
Would like to see tund shortly headers install (5.7)2011 Ram with broken bolts
I do currently have a video up on the broken bolts on a Ram 2500- It's the OTHER hemi tick, check it out on the channel 👍
Dang the exhaust system really from Amazon? Amazon on the come up. How is the exhaust doing to this day?
Sound is awesome, deep sound.
Did you have to delete your MDS for this exhaust to work?
Technically no, you don't HAVE to, but it sounds pretty crappy when it drops into 4cyl mode. It drones pretty badly at 65mph when MDS is activated. 👍
How do you think it would sound with shorty hearders on it
I don't think it would sound radically different, based on my experience with my challenger, but it will change tone slightly. 👍
That's honestly a question I never considered 😄. I dont know! I imagine they are the same, but more research is required!
This didn’t require any tuning?
Nope, just a simple cat back exhaust won't have any effect on engine performance, just sound. 👍
You ever come across throttle body going in limp mode after reinstalling the engine 5.7 hemi ram truck
Is usually a separate code being set that triggers the throttle body to go into limp so if be checking all the codes first.
Sounds great!, any Particular reason you went with that brand of exhaust thinking about getting the same one?
It does sound fantastic, but I caution you: if you're not planning on turning off the MDS system don't do it. Basically any aftermarket exhaust drones horrifically when MDS kicks in.
@ReignitedAuto my sorry what is MDS?
@lexxluther5124 it's the four cylinder mode the engine goes into during cruise situations.
Do the bullets have to slide all the way onto the pipes or just a little bit? I'm having issues with one exhaust tip angles to the left hitting my bumper
Just enough to secure it properly using the clamp.
Sounds nice and you made the install look easy
Sounds great. Man wish that was mine. Good job
Thanks for watching!
All in all how is the drone if any?
I've had much more time with the car at this point. Up to 65 mph it's not an issue, 70mph and above especially when it drops into 4 cylinder mode..... Its quite terrible 😂
What would this kit do to my 2020 V6 Charger GT and would I be ok with this kit living in California?
Maybe think about doing an air bag suspension.
That would definitely be more dramatic, but also more expensive, you'll see in the next video on Thursday which direction I went 👍 thanks for watching!
No mufflers ??
I think the JBA catback is a better value than the SLP system.
Thanks again enjoy your day
0:25 nah i look at it more like a Mafia car that's why i bought mine same as the one in this video
Definitely love these body lines 😎
Sounds great 👍 I like it
Where did you get that set up from? How much?
It's from Amazon, it's a Street Legal Performance Loud Mouth exhaust, costs about $600. Link is in the video description 👍
@@ReignitedAuto what kind of headers do you recommend
You are strong and not afraid of hard work. :)
It sounded like it would burble when you would let off the gas 👀👀👀 is that what I was hearing lol??
It's pretty rowdy that's for sure!
I have the CORSA on a 6.1 Hemi...... ZERO drone at idle and normal acceleration (due to RSC) but when you stomp on it... Sounds LIKE A DRAGSTER!
What year?
2006 👍
Nice sound i will try it on my hemi. Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Got the exact same car 5.7 hemi
I would’ve used a bungie cord to hold it wile you drop it
Chrysler American Masl 💪😈🔊
To late for the contest
I was born in 1967 Pontiac GTO ( in 1967 )
No wonder i am into cars
Some good heritage right there! 👍
5:29 that resonators are just a pipe the dont resonate anything ^^
A destroyed piston giveaway? How about a rebuilt Chrysler 300c giveaway?
You should make it whine
Had an x pipe on my
Dont forget to save for cam and lifters
Check out some of the other videos on my channel, I've got lots of information about the cam/lifter issue! 👍
looks like the rear diff has a really bad leak
Axle seal on the drivers side was leaking, I replaced it off camera 👍
My dad had a chrysler 300 2005 and 7 years later we had we bought a nissan rouge 2017 sl well we selled the chrysler funny because the car sounded like a big rig and we drove around it was mad loud if you had it nahhhh it sounds like a truck
Dang! That Differential don’t look too happy.
Had a leaky drivers side axle seal, put a new one in it's good now 👍
Mopar or no car!
A lil louder but sure he did what customer asked
Found a scatpack exhaust online for 100$ now my 300c sounds like a hemi.
That's a steal! 👍
Just add and x pipe and stay with the original
I hate it, there is nothing I can do, to make my 460hp V6 sound like a rumbly V8, I miss my Hemi most days
460hp is a heck of a v6 though! I imagine it's boosted in some fashion?
Bro!! How did you get 460hp out of a V6 🤯
