Same reaction to when the friendly minmaxer who just stays in the background but has a solution for everything suddenly has their character take something that happen in game as a personal challenge.
As a friendly minmaxer who tries to have a solution for everything and took the leadership role only because the rest of my party was being lazy.... I both resent and agree with that.
One of these days Justen is gonna do an advertisement for some cleaning product while covered in blood and Chaz will be slightly in frame on the ground...

Archery felt like a Robin hood men in tights skit. I imagined Sara's arrow as the patriot missle arrow from that scene.
I find it funny that Justin has Simply Safe but he doesn't have it set to Home considering how much Chaz just barges into his house.
Chaz is just a very highly skilled rogue

When Sarah announced the "21, 24 and 19" on the attack rolls with the smirk face, i expected to hear "neither of them hits" and see Sarah ragequitting the session.
I dont get how she can take the negative five and get that high of numbers in a row. Sarah fuges her dice rolls.

I was half expecting Lance's character to get extremely lucky and sweep Sarah.
Of course during Fighter Edition Sarah comes prepped as heck!

She most certainly didnt come prepared. Great weapon master requires that you use a two handed weapon, but a rapier is one handed and dueling doesnt work with two handed heavy weapons.

I legit thought that the hole in the floor was because Justin finally installed some anti-Chaz traps and that was the trap door dropping out from under his feet.
I thought it was related to the paint/plaster patches on the walls behind them.

@@Kugrox To go from joke rule lawyer to actual rule lawyer, it would. Different fighting styles stack as long as you meet the presuppositions. It is even official statement by Jeremy crawford himself, so not really much to discuss there :D
And yes, it is not specifically stated in the episode of the same or different are meant. Thus the joke comment

Sarah "I finally put effort into one of these stupid characters".. Proceeds to get (3) 20s against Lance in a single attack round.
There's no such thing as playing normal for Sarah.

So Sarah's build doesn't make any sense.
1) She is a Halfling, which is Small sized, and can't wield a Heavy weapon without incurring Disadvantage. Great Weapon Master requires a Heavy weapon.
2) Rapiers aren't Versatile, so you can't two-handed it to get Fighting Style: Great Weapon Fighting and/or Great Weapon Master. She also can't get Great Weapon Master because a Rapier isn't a Heavy weapon.
3) If she was using a Longsword, which has Versatile, she could get Fighting Style: Great Weapon Fighting by two-handed it, but then she wouldn't get the bonus damage from Fighting Style: Dueling since she isn't wielding it in one hand. She also can't get Great Weapon Master because a Longsword isn't a Heavy weapon.
4) 6:40 How is she attacking three times when Wailen only attacked twice with Extra Attack. If she used Action Surge, she would attack four times. As far as I could tell from her build, she isn't using anything that gives her a Bonus action attack. Unless she got a crit and assumed she reduced Justin to 0 and then pre-emptively attacked using Great Weapon Master's feature, which again she can't use anyways.
Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, and was wondering what cheese she'd announce when called on the Great Weapons thing.
I was also expecting Lance to just turn out to have built this horrific monster by taking abilities he thought sounded "cool," and wind up cleaning Sarah's clock.

Anyone else confused how Sarah's getting a -5 to hit +10 to damage on a rapier when the great weapon master feat specifies heavy weapons and not even small size will add that to a rapier?

Sarah also consistently rolls 20 or above on a regular basis! If weighted dice / lying mean nothing to her, neither do rules!
We should also discuss how she got a 24 to attack with a negative 5. Dueling is a 1 handed style only so that fighting style doesn't work. So she had a 29 meaning even with a natural 20+5 for dex and that would be a prof of 4. Someone's cheating lol

Or how no fighter in this, used action surge or second wind.
Or how andre got a 2 to hit, as a fighter. Shouldn't he have had AT LEAST 14 even if he had standard point array, but as goliath, more likely he had 16? So the lowest he could've got should've been a 4.
@@Kugrox exactly lol, I considered breaking this down slowly to find all the other sketchy rolls, but there were too many. If I was going to make a DnD skit I'd at least use the mechanics properly.

Given how things started out for Lance, I'm a little disappointed Sara steamrolled over him so easily. I was expecting it to be because Sara actually made an effort, things magically started going against her. I mean, they kind of did, but I was hoping because Lance was so not into it, he would've found the fun in the math because of how things just kept rolling in his favor instead. Plus, getting to see Sara get super angry at losing a duel to Lance seems like a missed opportunity.
