Great Video !!! Your instructions gave me the confidence to attempt this procedure & especially not to give up on those annoying little clips to unhook the connectors. Now I have 1 more Merit Badge for my Car Repair Adventures, and this was actually for my Ex-Wife's car since it's her birthday 🙂. Thanks Efurd !!!
If you changed down stream and the code comes back after clearing. You either have a bad sensor, yes new can be bad out of box, or bad cat need to check both
Thanks. Im no fan but they are alright. Sad thing is after fixing it up it still wasnt getting as good of fuel mileage as alot of newer non hybrid cars with more power. But for the average person they wouldnt be bad
That was one of the codes. It had several codes. One for upstream and down stream as well as a random misfire. Po420 is upstream i believe if memory serves correct
Efurd Garage I did my upstream and disconnected and reconnected my battery and then the 420 code popped up again a day later just no misfire codes like at first i only have the 420 code so im wondering if i do my downstream if it will change it
@@marcoleyva8249 i did them both do to the age of the senors. I figured if the first one went out it wouldnt be kong for the other. I used my handheld to clear the codes and they never came back
It would be great if these videos explained what the mechanic does to remove those damn clamps single handedly in 5 seconds. These 10 minute things take me 2+ hours just undoing the damn cable.
@@EfurdGarage you're fine. I watched it on a smartphone instead of a much larger screen so I didn't see the incredibly small tab you pushed during that one point. I thought I needed to push a completely different tab in on the connector. So yeah. It was my bad. I only left my comment showing my ignorance in case anyone else has the same issue I did.

Where did you get that 02 socket?
I got that one at my local bumper to bumper
What tools did you use ?
Phillps, 10mm, o2 socket, rachet
I can’t believe how easily your sensor came out
Sometimes they are easy others are not so much.
Did u get a p0420 code?

Efurd Garage did your engine light go off after doing one sensor or did you have to do both?

Nevermind. I found the thing I missed watching it on big screen smart TV. Smart phone was too small.
I mean i honestly dont know how to explain other then you push the tabs and pull. It may be easier after doing a bunch of them.
